I personally like Thief of Sanity, but I am the only one of the Faeries discord who is vocal about testing Thief out. I was considering Selective Snare as a potential card for the humans matchup as well as a way to rebuy our CITP effects, but outside of those factors I dont think it will really stick as a card to play in the 75. Nothing else really catches my attention however

I had ideas about Thief of Sanity as well, but I think it might be too slow/small for it's cost for modern. If it was maybe 3 power I'd be more inclined to like it, but as it is, it doesn't slot into the flash/instant speed style of deck I've built for Faeries, nor does it get any of the synergies. I can see it as a sideboard choice, but there's stronger sideboard options. Keep us informed on how it performs.

Hey, im planning to start playing again mtg and especifically ub faeries.
First of all congrats to roggers for his win, and second im interested in a list more or less like urs.

Only cards i lack atm and i plan to get if necessary are jms, collective brutalitys and liliana the last hope. Before huying those i first wanted to ask here if its worth the money for the deck and are really good cards for our gameplan, because i havent played since jms was unbanned and i can see liliana and britalitys being very good but havent tested them yet they are quite pricey.

If you are talking about liliana last hope. I belive she is good for side deck. I don't think it is good idea to main board her unless there are a lot of creature based deck in your local meta

I' m not sure about the 2 opt on main and the 2 mistbinds as tasigur and kalitas are nice too.

And regarding the sideboard, i have no leylines, would grafdigger cage/relic of progenitus/nihil spellbomb be a good replace in the current meta?.

Also planning to run 2 extirpates on SB, as i saw osman running them but aside tron with field of ruin, what other MU,s is it good?

Interesting. I'm a huge fan of the Thief, but I can't really see him in the deck. But then, I was slow to jump on the Kalitas and Tssigur trains, and those cards both turned out to be quite strong. Missing the one power compared to V. Clique is tough, but it seems like the card advantage he offers lends itself more to an attrition build than an aggro build anyway. How do you think you'd build the deck with him in it?

He's definitely a strong card, and I'd love to see him in a UB Control deck. Which actually makes me curious. Is there the possibility of strong UB control outside of faeries? If I remember, one of the old Faeries players played a non faerie list once...

otherwise nothing except maybe ritual of sootwhich wouldn't kill your own mistbind cliques. But that also wouldnt kill kalitas, huntmaster, siege rhino, thrunn-trol and all the other abzan/jund cards that might be getting a lot better. So that's probably a pass too

Honestly, I love unmoored ego for this deck. I could conceivably see myself jamming 3-4 in my sideboard. Tron is a horrible matchup for us, and this card makes it very winnable. There is always the possibility of this being too slow, but honestly once they assemble tron our hope of winning dwindles to almost zero. Plus, it's not unusable in other matchups. Valakut, as you said; Combo; hell it even does work against dredge.

Please, people who use Jace, the Mind Sculptor can you share your experience with that card in fae deck? In which match-ups that card shines and in which it gets cut ?

Love the MD Downfall and Cast Down split. 7 GY hate in the SB is also noteworthy.

His result only suggests that faeries isn't really very good. Bitterblossom in a UB control deck seems like as good as it gets.

Two mana faerie with flash. Combat trick as ETB trigger and 1/2 body. Having a new flash faerie is nice and the ability isn't useless. There might be more faeries in the future?
