Literally had the win against storm but my opponent wouldn't scoop to me after taking 90% of the match time and him dead on board in turns. Tilting.
Not Zoo related, but every one should be aggressive about calling out slow play.
Slow play can be enforced at all RELs.
Obviously, there are times to be socially aware of when you're being an jerk, but, in most cases, asking your opponent to not dwaddle is appropriate. If a judge is present, call a judge.
I've thought about this in the past, but then I always ask myself why? Zoo is an aggressive deck by nature with disruptive creatures for value, and lingering souls is neither of the two which makes it clash with the essence of the deck.
Hey guys. I was thinking about building up a Naya list based on that Tribal list that showed up with BBE. Instead of 4 Flames + 2 Boros Charm, I'd use 4 Charm + 2 Ghor-Clan and Rabblemaster instead of Mantis Rider. It won't be that much less explosive than Tribal and it will have a better mana base. I had a lot of fun playing that 5c list and playing Rabble + BBE and Rabble + Ghor-Clan seems nice. Also living the dream of Ghor-Clan + Boros Charm on a Goyf.
I still have not decided what to play on my LGS next week, but if I play this, I'll write up my thoughts.

Sounds good. I also think that Tribal Flames is probably not worth the awkward mana base, and the extra modes on Boros Charm will probably make up for the 1 dmg difference. Will you run Noble Hierarch? And a playset of Lightning Helix?
I'd like to see the list you come up with!
Porting directly from the 5c list, that's what I'd run at first to check how it would perform:
The thing with Tribal Flames is that is also really good as a removal spell (the 5 damage being really relevant to kill all the Gurmag/Tasigur/Smasher/Goyf running around)... So perhaps you'd like to throw a couple Path to Exile into the mix. Running 4x Rabblemaster you probably need extra ways to remove blockers.
Also for the 1 drops you are considering I have to say I REALLY like Narnam Renegade. It's deceptively good.
But the list looks super fun, I really want to try it myself!
Yep, Flames acting as removal happens really often on that deck. I'm on the hopes that Ghor-Clan can act as pseudo-removal if needed (even better with Narnam's DT). I could run 2 Paths on the main, but I'll give it a spin with that maindeck (maybe try to fit 1 Smuggler's Copter) and then make some changes as needed. I'll probably run 3 Paths on the sideboard, tho.
I was toying with the idea of running some combination of the new cycle of triple mana costed Dominaria cards; Benalish Marshal, Goblin Chainwhirler and Steel Leaf Champion. They seem very good and I know people jumped to the green one but the mono red and white ones seem more like what our deck would like to do. Either pump the team with an anthem effect or sweep away tokens. The triple red seems like the hardest to hard cast but the triple white seems reasonable with a deck running nobles but the dream is cascading into these targets or even move back to a coco list. I won't be able to test any lists for another two weeks sadly so wondering if anyone has had luck with the cycle?
Today I learned that KCI can off through a Thalia... whoops. Went 2-2 with my list at FNM due to a major punt against KCI. On my turn 2 I played thalia and then on turn 3 I played a Scooze and Goyf. Instead of playing Goyf I should have kept Scooze mana up which would have just won me the game. Oh well, hopefully never make that mistake again. Then because of that I had to play the last round and didn't draw a red source against my sultai midrange opponent until turn 10 in game 1 and then game 2 I drew 9 lands and 2 noble hierarchs to accompany a whole 3 non mana cards. Was great. Happens. Damping Sphere is legit though.
Congratulations on your result, your list looks solid!
Do you care to elaborate on your sideboard and why you took those 15 cards with you? Would love to hear about cards like Elspeth and Fiery Justice.

Thanks! To break down the sideboard by card:
Molten Rain: Great vs Tron, Valakut, and UWx Control. When you're playing against something random and want to cut a bunch of cards, you can never go wrong with Stone Rain + Shock. Its also a Sorcery for Tarmogoyf and a SICK Cascade hit. Damping Sphere could replace it but I'm reluctant to let it go because its superior against Valakut.
Gaddock Teeg: Teeg is fragile but has text against a variety of strategies including Tron, Valakut, Storm, UW/UR Control, Company/Chord decks, AdNaus...
Ancient Grudge: Affinity, Lantern, Krark-Clan.
Grafdigger's Cage: Dredge and Storm.
Kitchen Finks: Burn, Jund, UW/UR Control.
Fiery Justice: Can go wide AND tall against aggro decks like Humans/Hollow One/Affinity. Also decent against mana dork decks, Death's Shadow, and Eldrazi Tron. I actually wanted to play two copies, but only own one (I've put my avatar to shame ).
Dromoka's Command: Ran this instead of the 2nd Fiery Justice, thought it would also be decent against less interactive aggro decks and is good vs Burn and random.decs too due to its versatility (brought in in against Skred and W Prison for example).
Ethersworn Canonist: Wanted a 3rd hatebear, looked at Thalia, Eidolon of Rhetoric, and Aven Mindcensor and kind of chose at random.
Elspeth, Knight-Errant: Added this card almost solely for Jund, which can be popular at this store. There wasn't much Jund this time but I brought her in VS UR Breach and Skred. I'll note that I played 2 Domri maindeck in expectation of Jund as well.

Do you like Green midrange decks? Check out my My Magic Blog!
Even though Nacatl is the fastest clock, I've thought about cutting 'em given that they get outclassed by Zombie Fish and other idiots. And they get bolted -- which is played to prey upon Humans and other decks.
Yesterday's tournament at my LGS ... With the rise in popularity of Teferi, Hero of Dominaria, people is playing different variants of UWx control decks. And honestly, those match-ups feel hopeless. I played once against straight up UW (with Teferi, Jace and Terminus) and once against UWR (more of the same). I didn't get to attack once in all of my games. Those decks are so dense in answers against creature strategies (which makes sense when people is trying to beat Humans) that I feel we have almost no chances at winning. I guess I could go up in numbers of cards like Voice of Resurgence and "grindy" planeswalkers in the sideboard (I've even considered running 1x Elspeth, Knight-Errant in the main along with the 4x BBE). But that probably makes us even slower and clunkier against all the unfair decks against which we don't have much hopes anyway.
Maybe going up to 23 lands and adding a second manland might be reasonable?
Gaddock. Teeg. The Kithkin Hobbit is a house against them. That and Voice + fast clock. At the end of the day though it's still a bad matchup, their deck literally exists to eat decks like Zoo for breakfast.
Hey all! Long time lurker..and I'm planning on heading out to GP Vegas. I was wondering if anyone is having any success with the more aggro oriented build (with Kird Ape, Bushwhacker, Narnam etc.)? Right now I'm on the more mid-range build with Lotus Cobra, Knights, Tarmogoyf, pretty close to what Lugger posted a couple posts up and it's doing decent.
Yeah, I do run 2 in the board. I try to drop them before the hypothetical wrath turn, but they die to pretty much everything. Considering their more relevant cards are at 4 and 5 mana, trying to go a more "tempo" route with Teeg, early drops and Molten Rain might be effective.
I don't know if you watched last weeks SCG event, but Mardu Pyromancer won the finals against Jeskai Control with Moon in the main deck, and it pretty much won him game 1. Blood Moon may be worth including again if control decks get greedy with their mana base. I personally never board less than 3 Gaddock Teegs because the card is auto-win if he isn't dealt with, and I almost always want the 2nd one for when they kill the first. He hoses so many decks that it's busted.
The recent announcements of going back to Ravinca, again, should bode well for us. The first guilds out the gate are selesnya and boros, so hopefully we can pick up some more flexible board cards and hopefully an aggressive 2-3 drop - and dare I say another playable Wild Nacatl! I'm excited!

I've had some success and a lot of fun with this deck in an open meta, This deck is great and can be very very fast, without being easilly outhated.
Some problems in the current meta lie in the wall of fast 4/4s, 4/5s and 5/5s from Hollow One and GBx (used to be eldrazi back then). If you go full aggro (which you should imho), pack enough Ghor-Clan Rampager to stomp those big butts. Paths from the side are a must

So is there a specific reason you think that "Full Aggro" is the way to go? Yeah I was planning on including Ghor-Clan Rampager if I did happen to go that way.
P.S. I saw that you stated it "can be very very fast, without being easily outhated", but I feel like with a meta full of Big Creatures and a lot of Instant hate (Fatal, Lightning Bolt, Helix etc) that the Full Aggro will run out of gas before being able to finish.
