Where can i look foward to learn how to play/sideboard against some match ups, for example today i played against affinity and got hit for 10 turn 3 and it got me confused if this deck still works that well, is sad when a flying threat destroy ur whole gameplan
Actually,it is slightly favored to dnt and gets better depending of your splash (or no splash). What is your list?
This won't help with the Affinity match-up, but I would at least switch the 4x Wall of Omens with 4x Thraben Inspector. In my opinion they are so much better compared to the Wall. Don't forget that we're an aggro/control hybrid deck and those single points of damage can help us a lot in the long run.
Also, 6 four drops might be a bit too many. Personally I run a maximum of 4 four drops. In that case you can run two Smuggler's Copter, which pair amazingly with Thraben Inspector and they do help in the Affinity match-up. Besides it is a great card overall that helps a lot to filter your hand for the situation you are in.
Agreed. I only run 4 4 drops and side down to 2 against any fast decks like affinity.
@xElianx
You should have 1-2 extra removal to bring in along with stoney silence out of the board. Leonin arbiter is terrible in the mtchup as are the not flying 4 drops. Never go shields down in the matchup unless you are forced to race a steel overseer. A timely vilaled in flickerwisp or displcer will blow out many of the fast win strategies they attempt. Save ghost quarters for creature lands. You win the long game, just make sure your plays and hands will make it past the ravager/cranial plating kills and you will be favored.

No splash at all, and the list is...
Any kind of advice or guide for sideboard/match ups is welcome
It might feel pretty unsplashed since the manabase isn't splashing for any specific color, but there's actually a significant Eldrazi splash you have going on with the 4xDisplacer 3xTKS and 4xTemple.
Part of your trouble with the posted list versus Affinity specifically is that you're so low on early 1-mana plays and fliers. Running Thraben Inspector can help you chump-clog the ground a bit earlier so you aren't dead as quickly due to lack of blockers. Some cheap fliers can also help in those instances where you don't have a Path/GQ ready versus a Ravager-pumped Inkmoth.
but not a chance will WOTC do it with a pro tour coming up.
WOTC has no choice now that the ritual is complete.
I guess one person doing the ritual wasn't enough. Next time we will all have to do it. I still have hope for the next B&R (I bought my stoneforges a couple of years ago both in paper and online just waiting for the day).

While there are no changes to other formats at this time, we do continue to monitor the health of Modern, Vintage, and Pauper. Across the board, those formats are looking quite healthy right now. We'll be sure to provide future updates as needed."
Been a bit out of the loop and I’m surprised to see Tocatli Honor Guard popping up in so many sideboards. What am I not seeing here?
I don’t doubt there’s a good reason for it. SpiderSpace is using it, so it’s got to address a critical need.

“Modern has provided us a non-rotating format that is far more accessible than Legacy or Vintage, but still retains many of the qualities that people enjoy in those formats—such as a more stable metagame, the ability to play and tweak the same deck week after week, and simply a much more powerful card pool than Standard.”

It shuts down most of the Human deck.
Edit: Oh, and I just checked the deck you were talking about, it's actually called "Death & Staxes". It's more of a prison deck than a tempo deck, similar to a Legacy Eldrazi Stompy deck, or WR prison in Modern.
With the MTGO meta shifting heavily towards Tron, I decided to give D&T some love with my latest video series. I tried Craig Wescoe's UW D&T build from March, with variations to account for the current meta. You can check out the video here: UW Death and Taxes!

It's definitely a deck designed for a slower meta to punish big mana and combo, as the lack of Blade Splicer definitely makes you weaker to faster aggressive decks, while also not presenting as fast of a clock to attack with.
I enjoyed recording with Death and Taxes so much that I just recently recorded a RW Death and Taxes series as well. It's not available for viewing yet, but I'll let you guys know when it is up on my channel. I built a BW E&T deck a while back and am just now getting back into modern to decide whether to sign up for a GP in December. I'm curious about some of the card choices in some recent lists I've seen and hoping the community can help me understand the rationale on their inclusion in maindecks/sideboards:
Gideon, Ally of Zendikar. Loved this guy back when he was in standard and saw him pop up in a couple of sideboards and wasn't sure what matchups he was for. Seems to me that noncreatures aren't where the deck wants to be for threats given the vial synergies, but maybe he's good to board in for matchups when you board in Stony Silence/board out Aether Vial?
Dauntless Bodyguard. This guy strikes me as being too defensive, but curious what folks' experience has been. I can see a nice tempo play where you Vial him in to save something better, but by the point in the game where I have another creature worth saving, it seems unlikely that I'd have a Vial on 1.
Gonti, Lord of Luxury. I love this guy and have been trying him as a 1- or 2-of in the main along with the 4 TKSs. 6 cards at 4-CMC is a lot, but I feel like Vial helps with that a bit, and he can really swing games with his ETB ability (and can really get out of control when flickered). Do others think he may have a place in the BW version of the deck?

Thanks all!
Gideon, ally of zendikar and other planeswalkers are usually brought in for the grindier/more fair match ups. In them land destruction Usually isn't as important so getting to Gideon mana even with a tax isn't hard. Planeswalkers give us a lot of staying power on the board as we don't have much card draw to keep up with other decks and their removal.
Smuggler's copter is just awesome. In BW though it may not be worth it. Mono white has a lot less disruption so it is more important. Try going down 1-2 of some combination of 2 drops to fit in the copters and see if you like it. I play mono white so can't say for sure but I don't think copter fits for BW.
Dauntless Bodyguard is exactly as you said, how often is your vial on 1. The fact that it has to target on ETB rather then on sacrifice means it can be played around when not vialed in.
Gonti, lord of luxury doesn't really advance the DnT game plan very much and with six 4 drops it weights your decision to tick up vial to 4, where usually 3 is the sweet spot. Not sure how often it would even flip a relevant card either given the decks in modern but if it works for you though keep running it.
It depends on your meta but I like gonti as a sideboard card. He comes in the grindy midrange/control matchups and gets flickered for great value. In those matchups most of their cards will be relevant.

Totally agree with this. Most decks have great hits for Gonti and he’s a guaranteed 2-for-1 with tons of upside (if you have a flickerwisp or displacer or resto to trigger his ETB again). Deathtouch can be relevant in certain matchups as well.
I started nuts at day one (6-2 record) and a lame at day two (9-6). There is a long paper with notes that I could share, but I'm really tired cause I just got home, but there is a few notes that I'd like to say.
I never had a problem with colorless and bojuka bog was badass when I needed it.
Karn is way better to grind than gideon, but they serve different purposes. I was disapointed with gideon and I wished that it could be something else like....
...Hero of Bladehold. She's a beast and won the game 5 of the 6 games that she got in the battlefield.
Baneslayer Angel was amazing in tests. But there was no way I could play it safely to win the game.
I lost 2-0 to monogreen tron which made me reaaaaal sad and I just didn't tear my Field of Ruins because it costs a bunch. Tectonic Edge is better even if there was a Wastes in the deck to not got blood mooned/fetch with FoR.
During the tests I found that Blessed Aliance is still good and it was better than expected in the tournament. I felt better having it than settle the wreckage that everybody is playing around
Curious fact: My friend that came along all the way played with BW Eldrazi and Taxes and he had better numbers than me (10-5) and he was streamed (Braulio Drummond) against grixis death's shadow.

Great job on the spread sheet. So on T3 you would have about a 75-85% chance to hit with the standard mono white 14-18 hits (14 assumes you have a couple hits in hand when you cast it). My problem with it is still that the card just goes in your hand and bugler doesn't search, only digs 4 deep. I am optimistically skeptical given those restrictions but the hit rates are higher then I expected. I am also still not sure what is best to cut although I see deathandcatmix as I list going https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/1181680#online.
