I've been having some problems with 23 so currently I feel that 24 should be ok.
Regarding scavenger grounds, I'm running three relics and one grafdigger's cage in my sideboard (that I will be changing to rest in peace as soon as I finish building the deck) so wouldn't it be better running something else? If I don't need that extra land to be colorless even Bojuka Bog looks like a better option since I can flicker it with flickerwisp and if needs to be more land destruction doesn't seem to do us any harm.
Anyways, are there other good options for the mono white build on that last slot?
You can also sacrifice Shefet Dunes for the Scavenger Grounds activated ability, as Shefet Dunes is also a desert. Besides, colorless mana is a lot more valuable than useless black mana, as colorless mana pays for Thought-Knot Seer and Displacer's ability.
You can also run more land destruction in Tectonic Edge or Field of Ruin. Another strong addition is Mutavault for extra pressure. It's especially strong if you run Blade Splicer.
So I know this is primarily for Death & Taxes, but I just rediscovered my old GW Hatebears cards that I thought I'd lost forever. At what point does Hatebears turn into Death & Taxes with a green splash and vice versa? The archetypes are really similar, so I'm somewhat curious. The GW Hatebears thread is pretty much dead, so I'm interested to see what everyone here thinks.

Hey everyone! I'm just getting into D&T with a mono white list + some eldrazi/temples. I'm still working on the sideboard (so far it just has standard stuff lie stony, RiP, and blessed alliance/burrenton forge tender). Should I just try and tweak it based on my meta. Also Jokerstyle I think the only difference between GW hatebears and GW D&T is that hatebears has more bears like Scavenging ooze. Honestly I don't think there is that much of a difference. Also does anyone know how many TKS or reality smashers mono white E&T plays if any?

The line between my D&T and Bears prolly gets even more blurred considering I'm using a full set of vial too.
As for Monowhite Eldrazi Taxes, I haven't seen anyone play main deck Reality Smashers, but most people seem to play full sets of TKS and Displacers, along with a set of Eldrazi Temples.

Yup, there are a few streamers that regularly play D&T. Deathandcatmix streams pretty often and I think Spiderspace is taking a break. There's also a Discord channel floating around somewhere, but you'll have to wait for someone who knows more to give you a link.

Ultimately, the difference between the two decks is not in their card composition, but in their lines of play. In Legacy, Sneak and Show shares a lot of the same cards with High Tide (because they're all blue cantrips), but the decks have very different lines of play. It's the same thing for WG D&T and GW Hatebears; the decks are made up of similar cards, but D&T should give you access to control sequences in ways that Hatebears simply can't. But in turn, Hatebears gives you access to aggressive lines of play that D&T typically doesn't have access to.

Yes. Metagaming is very important for D&T strategies; you should tune the deck to wherever you will be playing regularly. If you want a proactive (as opposed to a reactive) E&T strategy, you should check out the Death & Staxes primer.
Also does anyone know how many TKS or reality smashers mono white E&T plays if any?
You'll want to check on the current metagame, but it used to be 3-4 TKS. The number of Reality Smashers would typically depend on the pilot, but most people either selected 0 or 2-3. Checking the metagame will be important though, because Modern is incredibly fast right now. I'm not sure if you can reliably cast Reality Smashers at the moment.

Seeing the light of hope fade and ultimately extinguished in an excruciatingly slow manner... THAT'S fun Magic.

Aaaah okay, gotcha. I deal with a pretty control and removal heavy meta right now, so I'm leaning more towards aggro/Bears because Taxes straight up isn't doing enough damage to kill before I get wiped or slowly picked off by removal because the creatures are so weak P/T wise.

Been wanting to build some variant of Modern D&T for a while. I decided to start out with Eldrazi and Taxes and will gradually pick up cards for mono-white. Although I would love to mess around with a green splash Nobles are way too expensive for me right now. Maybe one day they'll get another reprint.
As you probably noticed, the maindeck is 3 cards short. Not really sure what I want to run in the flex slots. I might shove a 4th Thalia and a couple Blade Splicers in there, but I'm not entirely sure if 4 Thalia is one too many, etc.

You should watch Catmix on stream or replay. Most of his recent builds have been based on Bugler, so the creatures tend to have a power of two or less, and he's still winning with it.

It's nice to see WG D&T putting up results again. This list looks extremely similar to the one posted by Craig Wescoe earlier this month. It's hard to argue with though. There's just so much value that I'm tempted to try it out.

Hi everyone. Posting this here for anyone who's interested in playing in the 2018 DnT championships
Rules:
-The tournament will be double knockout. If people really don't like this idea we can change it to swiss before the first round.
- Matches are first to 2 wins (best 2 of 3)
-Submit your deck list along with a deck code by DM to me on discord, or as a pm on mtgsalvation.
-Deck submissions will be open from November 2nd to November 16th, at which point all lists will be made public.
-The first round will begin on Nov 19. You will have two weeks to play the match and submit results, if all matches are completed before 2 weeks we will start the next one early.
-At a minimum your main deck must include the following cards, everything else must follow the modern format rules:
2 Plains
4 Ghost quarter
4 Aether Vail
4 Path to exile
4 Thalia Guardian of Thraben
4 Leonin Arbiter
4 Flickerwisp
Prizes are the bragging rights of being the best DNT pilot of 2018. If we get at least 10 people I will look into getting an additional prize to ship to the winner.
Not participating, but I would put the minimum number of Thalia to 3, since some players prefer that number due to the Legendary rule (not saying it's correct or not, just mentioning it happens).
@The Jeskai Way : hello i am actually a jund player but my pet deck was hatebears since i play modern !
So i can give you some tips :
generalities (not always true but often it is)
-play thalia first if your opponent pass the turn with one mana up
-play arbiter if he is tap out
-not ghost quarter too much times even with arbter and if you need this GQ to cast a good spell next turn or same turn, you are lucky if your opponent have no other land in hand but jund run 24 or 25 lands, obviously if you don't have good creatures slow down BBE is good but keep GQ for manlands in late game is very nice. Don't forgot jund plays only 1 mountain and if he doesn't he will have 2 forest.
-with strangler, always play it when you can kill something, don't wait and don't play it before.
-play flickerwisp as soon as possible to do something (value on a guy or just remove a blocker to deal some damage)
-bob is your worst enemy if you don't have a very agressive start.
-play displacer early only if you don't have other guy to play.
Side board :
-4 vial, -4 arbiter, -2 sculler (not sure)
+2 Rest in Peace (not sure)
+1 Anguished Unmaking
+1 Fatal Push,+1 Fiend Hunter (not sure),+1 Burrenton Forge-Tender(not sure),+1 Mirran Crusader
+1 Reality Smasher,+1 Liliana, the Last Hope,+1 Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
My sb against your deck :
+2 anger +1 liliana, the last hope, +1 EE
-2 inquisition (on the play), -3 liliana of the veil (i don't take the risk to play it against any wall of omen, thraben inspector, blade splicer or thalia), -2 tarmo (on the draw)
To have play the match-up in both side, Jund is slightly favorable but skill and nice side board plan just make the difference.
Nice! Thanks man! Very nice tips!
My sideboard plan is usually close to your recomendations. I always bring Rest in Peaces, because they nullify their Goyfs, and weaken their Scoozes and Kommands. I bring in both walkers from my sideboard, Reality Smasher, Mirran Crusader and a bunch of removal (usually Fatal Push and Anguished Unmaking). Somethings, I bring in sometimes, and sometimes I don't, like BFT and Blessed Alliance.
I always side out my Vials, and because of that, I usually sideout 1 or 2 Flickerwisps also, since they're not that great without the Vial Shenaningans.
I'm also not really sure about what is the best stance for me on this match-up. Should I try to outgrind them, or just beat them as fast as possible?

My fiancée played E&T at FNM last night and finished 3-1-1. She didn't give a particularly detailed match report, but complained that 4 Path to Exile was not enough to deal with Wurmcoil Engine, Primeval Titan, and other creatures that beat her creatures in combat.
After FNM, we changed the sideboard: -1 Remorseful Cleric, +1 Rest in Peace, -1 Orzhov Pontiff, +1 Fiend Hunter, -2 Selfless Spirit, +1 Stony Silence, +1 Tocatli Honor Guard. We're also looking to -1 Kor Firewalker, +1 Blessed Alliance, just as soon as we come across one in a trade binder.
She says the Fiend Hunter and Honor Guard should solve her problems with Felidar Guardian and Primeval Titan, and she thinks +1 Leonin Relic-Warder, -1 Stony Silence should help with Wurmcoil Engine.
I noticed while putting the new sideboard together that it was very heavy on double white mana bears, and was wondering what I can do to the manabase to make it friendlier for these cards. A white Urborg-equivalent would be amazing, but I'm not convinced anything so useful exists. Any suggestions?
First of all, you won't have all the pieces combined, but here we go:
She complains about double white while considering leonin relic-warder;
Agains wurmcoil, you have some lines that could be handly. Eldrazi Displacer can fog wurmcoil, tidehollow and tks can get rid of it before it hits the table;
Fiend hunter is ok, but honor guard hurt you as hell. While she's worried by a 4GG spell, you have 15 other spells that suffers from your own guard. Leonin Arbiter prevents Primeval Titan's ETB which could help until you find your removals hopefully,
Suggestions: Anguished Unmaking is good to play. Journey to nowhere is way better than fiend hunter for curving purposes. Turn 2 you come with journey and turn three, you either come with Flickerwisp to reset your journey or come with Wasteland Strangler to process, killing another creature and still having a Journey to being set up with flickerwisp to other target eventually
Regarding scavenger grounds, I'm running three relics and one grafdigger's cage in my sideboard (that I will be changing to rest in peace as soon as I finish building the deck) so wouldn't it be better running something else? Yup, there are a few streamers that regularly play D&T. Deathandcatmix streams pretty often and I think Spiderspace is taking a break. There's also a Discord channel floating around somewhere, but you'll have to wait for someone who knows more to give you a link.
Historically, the difference was that GW Hatebears was more aggressive (e.g., Scavenging Ooze, Loxodon Smiter, etc.) while WG D&T still used ETB effects (e.g., Flickerwisp, Restoration Angel) to get ahead of the opponent.
Ultimately, the difference between the two decks is not in their card composition, but in their lines of play. In Legacy, Sneak and Show shares a lot of the same cards with High Tide (because they're all blue cantrips), but the decks have very different lines of play. However, I'm having a lot of trouble trying to beat Jund. I would like to know if anyone here has some tips.

Anguished Unmaking is good to play.
