I also wondered about Curious Obsession in Modern, but i fear that against interactive decks, it would open us to a lot of 2 for 1, while in uninteractive match-up, we should probably spare our mana for counterspells instead of tapping-out.
I also appreciate ya'll's lack of condescending. We need more of that on this site!
Oh would you look at that, I've been running Curious Delver for a bit, I had no idea others were giving that combination a try. The most powerful sequences are T1 delver, T2 curious obssession while holding up stubborn denial. Protecting the curious one so that the aura at LEAST replaces itself is KEY. To do this you could stock up on dispels instead, but Stubborn denials are just overall stronger.
My list for curious obsession is Sultai, because Obsession on monkeys is way stronger than on Angler.
Its still very much a prototype, and I just want to say if you face a lot of high cmc creatures then the removal suite has to be adjusted for dismembers or go for the throat. The strategy is very close to grixis delver, except the "queen" piece will draw cards every time she connects. A lot of fun. I listed obsession under "cantrips" because if you play right, that's what it is.

If you're on the obsession plan, might i suggest cutting the Tasigurs for 4 Pteramanders? This way you have 8 one drop flyers who can start drawing you cards from t2.

Spell pierce drops off in the long game in exchange for taxing for 1 additional in the early game. I don't find that attractive. In most cases where you can catch the opponent with a pierce, Stubby D will do the same even without ferocious.
Disrupting Shoal likewise falls off in the same way when your curve is low. There is very little chance you can out-mana your opponent, and your low cmc spells won't be able to pitch against even something like LotV.

That's not true: paying 1 or 2 is a huge difference. For the long game Countersquall and leak should be enough and in any case you should not aim to a "long game".

If you put in Pteramander you have enough blue 1-2 CMC cards to protect your creatures against most of currently played removal. In late game you can hard counter anything that costs 1-2 maybe even 3 (It counters spells with CMC "equal to X" not "unless your opponent pays X").
This would mean forgoing stubborn denials in favor of dispels. You have to protect your drops.
Dispel cannot counter liliana either.
That said I don't think it's possible to play Delve threats and pteramander in the same list. You should also exchange mandrills with tarmogoyf (basically it would become another deck).

So yea I've been quite satisfied with how my delve+delver threat package has worked so far. I want Mandrills because they usually cost 1, work with Stubby D and the trample goes so much better with Curious.
"Long game" I suppose is unclear. I basically mean you can't counter the majority of Conflagrates, Hollow Ones, Past in Flames or Gift Ungivens, Karns, Ugins and so on. These things happen relatively "early", but that's modern for you. I want Stubborn denial over Shoal most of the time, but you are welcome to bring your recommendation to the table and let us know the result.

I said it was different
I'm already playing a blackless delver list with shoal (and I'm trying one with pteramander too). I'm pretty satisfied with it but I can't really say it's better than your. I wanted to advise changes if somebody wanted to play the drake.

i need some more games and look for a good side. last 4 turn tournament i won 2-1 vs amulet titan, 2-0 vs random BR deck and lost 2 times 0-2 vs UWG spirit... i looks a bad match up even post side with anger of gods
Have any of you considered light up the stage in this deck? It makes for a cheap 2 for 1 in most cases, and it’s a sorcery for delver and pyro. The only thing is that it doesn’t work well with counterspells, so you’d most likely want to run discard spells to make it worth playing, but I think that’s not an issue considering discard spells are better than counterspells right now in modern with all the aether vial/cavern of souls decks and decks with better counterspells of their own. Idk, just a thought. It reminded me a little of Treasure Cruise, with not nearly the same power level of course, but potential for being a 1 mana draw 2 in most cases. Let me know what you guys think!

I've tested it for a while. It seemed cool but often too clunky and I ended up cutting it. As for the discard spells, they don't fit our game plan at all since we want to be tempo/draw go. If you want to go tap out and then be synergistic with discard, delver becomes bad and you should play mardu pyro instead. Of course this is just my opinion, but I've not been greatly impressed by it.

Has anyone tried dire fleet daredevil in replacement for young pyro? I felt that young pyro has not being doing well atm and im finding red replacement options
I'm currently thinking about having a second modern deck and from all options I found Grixis Delver very interesting for his potential to improve over time. However, since it's not a cheap deck, i want to start with a budget version. Wich version de delver deck you think I shoud start with considering the amount of cards in common, the price and how competitive it is?
All three are good starting options.
The fetchlands of course will be the most expensive part of the deck.
I would also suggest you consider Jeskai or Esper colors as these give you great sideboard options for cheap. You can transition out of White later.
I think mono U or UR would be the cheapest on start up without fetchlands/shocklands.

Thx!
I started with UR back in 2015 and slowly upgraded it with kolaghan's command, snapcasters and the mana base, but it's a pretty decent starting point. Also, the fetchless mana base from UR storm is super fine for the deck and very cheap. I'd go for a playset of young pyromancers and abbots of kheral keep for a budget creature shell and then replace the abbots with snapcasters, one pyro with a vendilion clique and then add the delve threats. While you are UR, I'd go with roast and harvest pyre as "hard" removals and then of course replace them with 2 pushes and 2 terminates. Last thing I'm sure about, don't fall in either of the cryptic or discard temptation. They are both wrong choices (I couldn't just see a couple of seizes in the side, but that's all). Good luck!

I understand why Cryptic is not a good choice, but why the discard? it's one of the strongest thing to do in magic and we have two very strong options at 1cc.

In that case Spell Pierce and especially Disrupting Shoal would do the trick pretty well.
