On a whim yesterday I decided this looked like a fun second modern deck to own..... The main deck looks pretty stock at this point, but seems like there are a lot of sideboard options. This is where I ended up. Let me know if I made a glaring mistake.
I guess each list can be personalised, splash colours added etc. But it seems there's 2 camps. 1 is creature-based, the other is a little more comby / spell-based.
Okay so here is my view on RG vs RB.
RG can be more explosive turn 2 and on, with an inability to get past a TKS and unable to trade block 1 for 1 with reality smasher. IMO burning Inquiry helps with T1 hollow ones and black gives you access to Gurmag Angler. RG certainly goes a bit wider but requires more pieces to function properly. I've been interested in vengvine but not enough to actually buy them. I can see a world where this is Jund and it plays Gurmag Angler and tasigur maybe but I'm personally satisfied with RB Hollow One. BTE is alright but it's really only good one time and probably doesn't feel great to randomly discard.
So, I first bought the pieces for the deck after it had been out a few months, but hadn't exploded in popularity yet... I remember going to Lucky's, my local badass card shop, with a list of cards for the deck, and managed to walk out having spent about 30 bucks to get the Goblin Lores, the Burning Inquiries, and a few other pieces for the "stock" list.
Fast forward 3 months, and now Goblin Lores are going for about 25 bucks a pop... Making me wonder, is Goblin Lore the most expensive "uncommon" currently being played in Modern? Seems like it's on the top end of that list for sure.

Per mtgstocks, the darksteel aether vial, which was uncommon, is $37.88 average.
I think I crossed up tolaria west with a different $25 card, lemme see what card I miscrossed.
(Edit) mtgtop8 tricked me. Their buy links and shown prices usually link to nonfoil by default but their link to TW was linking to a foil (maybe that store was sold out of nonfoil?).
I tried something closer to Depian's list and have gone 4-1, 4-1, 5-0, and then 1-4 in competitive leagues. That last one had lots of awkward starts, losses to 3 combo decks, and Tron. I threw a Thrun in the board for control, it's easy to get to 4 mana thanks to all their Path to Exiles that they will be using. Hoping to run hot and hit good matchups at GP Phoenix in two weeks. Squee is awesome in any grindy or slower matchup. You can use it to get card advantage and leverage it vs your opponents relic of progenitis, where they can exile a squee and you're free to throw phoenix's and vengevines in the yard, or they let you keep discarding it and winning via value, I bring in the third vs Jund or control. Also it can be good at getting your vengevines back, as it pairs with a 1 drop well for a second creature to cast. Squee and 1-2 constrictord also have been my first go-to's to take out when side boarding vs a lot of other decks.
Have any of you tried Engineered Explosives in the board? In my mind it seems good vs bogles, Melira combo, tokens and stuff, but having to pay 2 mana to activate it seems a bit slow.
That's a nice build, I like the idea of a third Squee, Goblin Nabob in the sideboard for grindy matchups, it's really versatile and helps a lot when you draw a lot of looters so you don't end up with an empty hand by the time you need to play 2 creatures and return your Vengevine.
I really don't like Lightning Bolt in the build, it's a great card but it doesn't have any synergy with the rest of the deck so I'd rather play Lightning Axe to deal with pesky creatures as it is also able to enable some great interactions with the rest of the deck. I don't like to have too many Hooting Mandrills + Grim Lavamancer as both cards consume a lot of cards from our graveyard and don't work well between them, I like both of them but I've found 1 Grim Lavamancer + 2 Hooting Mandrills to be the mix that works best for me.
A card I sometimes miss from my first builds is Becomme Immense but I think is too situational even if it's great when attacking with Hooting Mandrills. I think it could be interesting as a 1-of, opponents must be wary about it once they see it but you would rarely have it so they would be playing around a card you don't have and that is usually a good thing.
I like your sideboard except for Thrun, the Last Troll, I think we don't need this card and the 4 mana cost is a pain, I would rather have a Bloodbraid Elf as it would almost always trigger Vengevine. I like Tormod's Crypt, is nice graveyard hate thast doesn't cost mana but it's more niche than other options so I find myself only siding it in vs Storm, Dredge and Living End, I actually think this is good as it helps prevent oversideboarding (or at least for me)
This is my current build, have been playing quite some leagues these days and although I haven't gone 5-0 in any of them, I think there is only 1 out of 6-7 leagues where I was unable to go 3-2 or 4-1 so the winrate is quite good:
I haven't tried Engineered Explosives but it could definitely be an option should Auras become a thing, right now I think it's not the kind of sideboard card we need
Hey there all, went 3-1 with my updated list: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/rb-g-hollow-one/
I changed 1 blood crypt into a second stomping ground.
I'm more likely to keep 1 for grudge/EE/Tasigur's ability and not randomly discard it.
But this makes me wonder; should a fatal push in the side turn into an abrupt decay/M-pulse? Would give me more artifact removal, does the same thing as push mostly, gives a way to deal with RIP, trinisphere, LOTV,enchantments Bogles play, ghostly prison, ect. Thoughts?

As primary RG Hollow One player I am very fond of my Destructive Revelry sideboard cards.
Unfortunate that it's about to lose the bonus utility of being able to sting planeswalkers.

I primarily play BR hollow one (I personally think it's the better version.) Sell me on RG. What makes it better/more preferable to you? Money does not count imo.
I continue to run Vengevines in a build that virtually can’t even hardcast them (technically with two BTEs I could, but if that’s where things are going I’ve already lost). As far as I’m concerned Vengevine might as well cost a million mana - I’m not hardcasting it, I’m pitching it at first opportunity and there’s plenty of opportunity. I don’t feel beholden to playing forests just because I have Vengevines.
@benfraz: spirit guide seems a bit greedy imo. But we're all playing Hollow One so who am I to judge lol
@amicdeep: Hazoret is great against grindy match ups like Jund, control, and Eldrazi. Jund usually takes out LOTV so they almost have no way to deal with a resolved Hazoret. You essentially need an exile or forced sac effect. I personally recommend it.
Blue splash feels a bit..... not great tbh. However regarding your mana base, have you considered making the gem stone stone mines into a breeding pool and 2 copperline gorges?
Played a pretty stock list at TNM, went 2-3 with some narrow matches that I probably could have played better, missed at least one Flamewake/Ghast trigger.
I'm already running LOTV/spellbomb, I'm just curious of peoples opinions on whether it's worth it to bring in against snapcaster decks, specifically ones that also contain path. It hinders their gameplan, but isn't a hammer like it is against dredge or storm, so how much of our engine do we want to take out to combat a part of their gameplan if any?

I think Aether Vial is still the champ there. Tolaria West is a little ahead, too.
Mishra's Bauble was off the charts before its masters reprint announce. It breached $50.

This is why we bring in spellbomb/Leyline of the void in. It's probably alright but I'm not entirely sure what you take out of the SB for LOTV
