A Devotion like Version with Enchantments can be really powerful and scary. Eidolon of Blossoms and Setessan Champion is a great card draw engine. The new Sagas Enchantments doing great value and can be cast with In Search of Greatness even you miss the right mana colour.
In this build Old-Growth Troll, if the troll is dying you draw a card - pretty neat
I just put my old Green Devotion deck back together give it a whirl and do some play testing. I really wanted to play genesis wave again. I had some of the funnest games of MtG ever with that card, so a more combo oriented is the build I’m going with.
Card Choices: Vessel of Nascency over oath of nissa - feels better to bin a G wave than bottom it if we can recur it with eWit. hour of devastation over primal command - I’d much rather tutor a creature directly to play rather than hand. The team pump + haste is gravy but still useful as a late game mana sink. strangleroot Geist & old-growth troll - sources of ‘sticky’ early devotion enabler with good aggressive stats and resistance to removal
I ran a similar list in the past I'd use Hour of devastation in the side board because you do need to reach in order to get out from under blue white teferi or jaces in some match ups.
with genesis wave you can also use Zealous Conscripts in the same slot to over take problem permanents on opponents side.
Allows us to untap Nykthos with Arbor Elf....allows us to fetch for Nykthos (or any other land for that matter)...sure in a lot of cases it will be win more; but it is a Forest too; so there really is no downside to playing it (especially as a 1-of). I will likely start with two; but even a tiny upgrade is still an upgrade.
Yah, being able to untap Nykthos with Arbor is awesome. TAhough it’s kind of risky running 2 copies of ANOTHER legendary land in a deck with a low land count. I usually play 21 lands in my Devotion deck.

We can play enchantments likeabundant growth[/card, eidolon of blossoms + the other enchantments we already play. We can put this busted card into the play and the turn later we can play some enchantments, draw some cards, add a lot of mana tapping this dryad, other enchantments other draws, find a nyktos or a garruk and keep going in a storm loop

I agree. We are one of the few decks that can take advantage of this because (a) we are a ramp deck and (b) we play a lot of enchantments natureally (I for one have played Oath of Nissa, Abundant Growth, and Utopia Sprawl in every deck.
I'm not a huge fan of Eidolon of Blossoms. At 4-CMC it really is quite slow. I sometimes wonder if we would just be better off playing something like:
* Yes I know it is 61 cards...I have just had more success with 61 and 21 lands rather than 60/20. *
This is a VERY rough draft. I do better when I can write out and visualize decks and think of interactions.
I have Setessan Champion in there...but in honesty we may not even need it. Karn alone gives us enough combos out of the enchantment synergies to go infinite that it may be enough. Also, without the Karn combos...Sanctum Weaver may just be enough ramp to warrant its use. It really is powerul (although slow). Thank god for that 2 toughness.
Karn allows for a couple infinite combos (while also being a great interactive card). Cloudstone Curio (granted this is my pet card for literally years in devotion...but I think it works best here) gives us the "Walker Loop" I harp on and also gives us the ability to "loop" our cheap enchantments. I've done this for years....and watching an opponent's face when you loop an Abundant Growth and Oath of Nissa until you hit a Garruk, continue the loop until you hit another walker and then say "I now have infinite mana and infinite planeswalker triggers" is really fun....they always go "wait...how?".
There is also the simple Umbral Mantle on Sanctum Weaver for infinite mana. I know Freed from the Real is cheaper (and now with Sterling Grove is tutor-able) but I tend to prefer combos where the cards are good on their own (i.e. by themselves they can do other things if you don't have the combo).
There absolutely is the Eidolon Enchantress deck that can be built. I just wanted to present an idea where you didn't even have to go "all in" on enchantments and you still get use out of Sanctum Weaver. Even a "traditional" deck can probably get enough out of it just by playing Utopia Sprawl, Abundant Growth, and Oath of Nissa.
1. Plays multiple legendary lands of the same type (in my case 4x Nykthos and 2x Yavimaya)
2. Can play a lot of fetches without hurting too much (as we can always just grab a basic).
3. Has Eternal Witness in the main.
There is an argument now for Wrenn and Six addition in the 2-drop slot to recur lands as well; but we are going to be brewing for a while...so we will see what is best!
Absolutely. It was pretty much the only part left. There will be more controlling enchantress style decks (more reminiscent of legacy) but we wan make the crazy ramp version :).
I actually don’t even know what to cut...I feel like it may be better just to play a pure entertainment deck with Wave...but I hate to give up the infinite combos via Karn (umbral mantle and Cloudstone Curio). Will probably still keep Curio (I just love it so much...pet cards are fun)
the hardest thing about playing Green Devotion (outside of perpetual tier 3 status with periods of hope) has always been the fact that we have too many choices! Now it’s way worse :). I want to play Titania; but I really want to play enchantress...but I’ve always gone back to Walker versions...and both Pact toolbox and T&N have always had the most success...ugh.
I do think the Pact version can utilize Titania pretty easily.
It’s settled. I’ll just have to have 3 different devotion decks! I bought the “core” cards and mana base in 4 play sets (so I could test without always taking the deck apart) so why make a choice of just one Devotion deck :).
Well...outside of enchantress (if we go that route); we didn't get anything out of Modern Horizons 2.
Kinda heartbreaking. When they talked about printing cards to specifically boost Tier 3 decks; I was certain we were getting something. Then they showed how they had a TON of mechanics (and technically Devotion was one...just on a black uncommon)...
Oh well...I fear we may be outclassed a little too far now. That's not going to stop me from trying though :).
I was testing a bit...and Standard Green Devotion (Pact List) got more than I had initially thought. The new list includes Endurance, Grist, Yavimaya, and Aeve...no one card is revolutionary; but the combination definitely increased our power-level and interaction:
I wanted to let everyone here know that we have been having a discussion on Discord as well. If anyone would like an invite; please feel free to request.
Our recent discussion has been about post-MH2 builds and the new man-land from forgotten realms being an addition to the deck.
So I realized that Prosperous Innkeeper might actually be a good addition the deck. 2 mana create a treasure token is strong in decks with 4 mana walkers.
Also the lifegain would be aggro matchups a lot better.

Another idea is the Token Way with Mystic Reflection with March of the Multitudes can be a finisher on its own. If not, both cards are powerful by itself.
Maybe a Devotion Version with Insects. I really like Scute Swarm (that can Win Games by itself) and Beacon of Creation. Beacon with Mystic Reflection can be really funny.

Just between Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth and Sanctum Weaver...we have some brewing we can do
Seems like a great sideboard option for us for both graveyard hate, saving our graveyard, and anti-mill. On a nice body too.
Aeve is probably the most questionable...but I do think Aeve, Progenitor Ooze is good in the Toolbox/Summoner's Pact decks (the ones that play Burning-Tree Emissary and Summoner's Pact...they can play Aeve, Progenitor Ooze at 5-MV, Primeval Titan at 6-MV, and Hornet Queen at 7-MV, and Craterhoof Behemoth at 8-MV. Greet curve.
