Saffron was nice enough to copy my deck from the SCG IQ and take it as his own without crediting me. http://sales.starcitygames.com/deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=117636 (To note, I know I didn't coin the deck of course but the fact that he stated he made it without quoting me kind of annoyed us, I also received no answer any of my contacts about it through multiple channels so I no longer use the website as a result.)
You probably should have gone public to force a response. I don't see any comment that could be you under the mtggoldfish article, nor under the Youtube videos. It sucks, though. I guess he only credits when a list is deemed very innovative ? He maybe thought your list was a basic martyr proc deck and feared that crediting you would wrong the real creator of the deck ? I don't know, I guess he was the one who should have clarified it in the first place
It has been updated since then and essentially I switch between Gideons and ghostly prisons based on the meta. I really like the mono white version and have had a lot more success with it compared to the wish variants.
Ghostly Prisons can be quite dead, they really feel like a SB card. I must admit they'd fit my meta pretty well, but Gideon is also a win-con.
I took mono white to an event this weekend and came 7th overall, had a couple of draws which set me back a bit and I decided to try the deck without flagstones of trokair which I won't be doing again, miss the thinning too much. I thought taking them out would help me focus more on my opponents lands rather than gqing myself.
That's funny, I was wondering if Flagstones was so mandatory. As a matter of fact I've played a few games where I really wished it was a plains (to trigger Emeria), but I guess thinning is a more consistent appeal ?

@Jiskel : you have all my sympathy then, it must have been annoying. Saffron is at fault here, although I tend to believe he didn't do that malevolently (but you never know).
Thanks for explaining the thinning from Flagstones. It's pretty marginal but I guess it's worth it in the long run. The "recycling" of GQ is another big plus.
I'll definitely cram 2 Ghostly Prisons in the side in my mono W list now. I have yet to meet Breach Moon decks in my meta, but Tribal decks are common.
That means I have only 2 flexspots. I've seen some play Meddling Mage (against random combo ?), Sundering Growth (against Chalice on 1 ?), Tefeiri's Moat (against Goblins, merfolk ?) or Sphinx's Revelation (just a good draw spell). Geist of Saint Traft can be interesting for sure but I don't really know against which deck it shines...
Btw is there a wishable silver bullet against Valakut ? I'm not sure if it exists. Gaddock Teeg is ok but cannot handle the Titans.
What multicolored card would you recommend for my two flexspots ? =)
We rarely see mentioned simic cards but they're not out of question.
Ghostly prison is really useful, but match dependent. It's specially well suited against mardu pyromancer and hollow one, but it perform better than expected against a variety of decks, like eldrazi (don't need to fear a turn 3 smasher on your face) and such. There are times when you simply don't have martyr on turn 2.
The mana base looks ok, but I'm wondering if there are enough plains to consistently trigger Emeria. What has been your experience ? Because if we ditch the Emeria plan we could add a basic Island and a few Stirring Wildwoods like in Lear's list.
Yes there are, when shocks and mistveils are accounted. The only non plains on the battlefield is usually the single forest (only fetched if there might be a blood moon on the way) and the emeria's themselves. That said, the few times I got emeria online the game was already won. Proclamation does the same job without compromising the manabase and having the earlier mode. If I'm using the deck again, it will be without emeria.
Cards I didn't like: Kami of false hope a lot of times a dead card aven mindcensor its a funny card, but not as impactful as I had hoped serra ascendant I think playing 4 is too much, sometimes it's hard to get to 30
Cards I should have played: Sun titan Another lategame powerhouse lightning helix I think its good with alot of planeswalkers
How are you guys feeling about weathered wayfarer?
Good work Jiskel! It seems like the MB Leylines were pretty helpful. I only realized the other day that Leyline means Gifts Ungiven can't be cast, which is a sweet G1 advantage on storm.
Has anyone here thought about running Karn Scion of Urza as a one-of or two of? The Professor at TCC suggested it off hand, and it would be consistent card advantage for the deck, but it's not a threat. Maybe Thraben Inspector is just a lower opportunity cost option.
To me Karn is the most overhyped card of Dominaria, but I might be wrong. I can see him be very good in the right shell, but I don't understand how it could fit in almost every deck like it's often implied. Especially in Martyr Proc... :x
Thanks for the report Jiskel !
I've stumbled on Mtgo against an Blue Black Faeries and Blue Living End yesterday, and they felt like harsh match up (I lost both 0-2). The pair of Caverns MD would have helped a bit. MD Leylines as well.
I'm bringing my mono white proc to my LGS tonight myself and I'll be doing a short report afterward

I think normal Living End is ok, but Blue Living End can be really obnoxious with its Cryptics and Mana Leaks. I simply wasn't able to wrath the board because of them. It didn't help that they Sorcerous Spyglassed my Relics of Progenitus ^^
I'll try the 2 Caverns tonight, I think it's pretty safe. I'll probably go down to 1 Mistveil Plains since I rarely told myself : "Thank godness I have another one" when it got destroyed.

As promised, small report ! I went 1-1-2, so not an outstanding result, but to be fair I did a few mistakes and I didn't expect to do much better for my first tournament with the deck.
Round 1 : vs Jeskai Delver / Pyromancer (1-1 Draw)
I felt pretty favored in this matchup. His threats were sparse and his counterspells were mainly remands so I managed to handle them without too much difficulty, winning the endgame value plan. Game 2 I undervalued a Martyr of Sands and cast it T1, and she soon got bolted. In retrospect the life of the martyr would have made a huge difference regarding Serra Ascendants. A Rest in Peace put quite the dent in my game plan, but a Leyline plus a Ghostly Prison really slowed him too. Had I been a little luckier I should have drawn something to manage the board and said Rest in Peace, but it never came. We had to call it a day since we didn't have time for G3 unfortunately.
Round 2 : vs Ponza (1-2 Loss)
Welp. Game 1 I play T1 Emeria, he plays Arbor Elf. T2 Flagstones, he plays Blood Moon. I had a Ghost Quarter in hand to convert my lands into plains but it was too late. In retrospect maybe I shouldn't have played Emeria T1, but not knowing I was against Ponza that decision wasn't natural.
Game 2 I brought Disenchants and Celestial Purge but it was maybe overkill. I easily win with the Martyr Proc game plan this time, not struggling at all on mana. Game 3 I should have boarded out the Disenchants because the opponent did board out the Moons this time. I managed the battlefield until the opponent dropped an Inferno Titan. Oblivion Ring did its thing, but the following turn : he played a second Inferno Titan. This one I simply couldn't handle with what I had in hand. I felt pretty unlucky because I had a lot of cards left in the deck to get rid of the Titan.
Round 3 : vs Grixis Delver / Pyromancer (2-0 Win)
Just like in round 1 felt favored in the matchup. Wraths and Oblivion Rings were very efficient to keep control of the board. The opponent had a LOT of removal but my recurring threats got the better of him. Game 2 he got stuck at 2 lands for a long time, and a Ghostly Prison prevented him from both attacking and killing things. He resisted for a looong time considering he only had two lands, but I never felt threatened.
Round 4 : vs Jund (0-2 Loss)
Game 1 I oblivion ringed two Liliana of the Veil, but then a Liliana the Last Hope slipped by and took a big toll on my creatures. I finally got rid of it thanks to a Big Gideon, but then opponent proceeded to topdeck like crazy with two BBE cascading into Scavenging Oozes. The scooze was a disaster since I had no wrath to reset the board. It ate all my creatures progressively, basically destroying all my endgame. I have an active Emeria for the very first time of the tournament, and my graveyard is empty T_T
Game 2 I have a mono 4cmc hand and I'm stuck on 3 lands. GG.
My takeaways :
Pluses
- Thraben Inspector felt great indeed. I probably don't need more than one, but it was a very strong Ranger of Eos target.
- Banishing Light / Oblivion Rings were surprisingly nice. I was almost always happy to draw one.
- Gideon Jura felt good. It has a great body and it can kill several large creatures just by himself.
- Cavern of Souls was a nice edge against blue decks.
Minuses :
- Gideon of the Trials almost always felt underwhelming. It barely helps to handle the board and is very easily overruned. It was so hard to keep him alive that I barely used the 0 Loyalty ability that makes him a creature.
- Sun Titan only showed up once, brought back a Martyr of Sands from the graveyard, and then immediately got killed. Maybe it's too obvious a target ?
I'll try Jiskel's list next time, at least replace Small Gideons by Cast Outs. I can see how they're basically a more permanent and flexible solution to the same problem.

Good article on CFB about Martyr proc. Pretty different from most of the lists on this thread, what do you all think?
Credit to Clay on the FB group for finding the article.
Decklist is mostly fine and I love this article. Can see from Allen's explanations that he has already played Martyr Proc a lot.
Some singles in deck are questionable but mostly it looks good for me.
I don't like single Mind stone and O-rings, I see 3 Cast Outs will be much better.
First reason - you can cycle Cast out to find Wrathes or support aggro plan in searching of more crearues.
Second reason - Cast Out has flash (very huge up) and evade Abrupt Decay effects.
About side - I guess a lot of gravehate is reasonable in mtho metagame full of Storms and KCI but now with Damping Sphere you can easily go from them and add Sphere+Ghostly Prisons in SB.
For me, it is relatively good, but can be Easily answered (Storm) or played against (Tron). Started with 4 in the Sideboard, trimmed to 3 and now thinking in leave 2 slots.

I'm working mostly, has no time and possibility to play and test modern.
Didn't test Sphere but I think 3 of is the minimum you should have in Sideboard. It's too good not to play it less bcs hates almost all Martyr's bad match ups.
Decks that play a lot of discard or thoughtseize usually ends up to be a long grindy game. Planeswalkers are pretty good in this, maybe you can try one or more of the gideons. I play 3 Nahiri, the Harbinger and two gideon of the trials. I feel this deck doesn't do enough without the planeswalker package. After boarding I add 3 leyline of sanctity.

I'm trying to decide which cards I'd like in a Bant Wish sideboard by mixing all of your own sides. Here are the cards I feel are locked :
Finishers (2)
Sigarda, Host of Herons
Sky Hussar
Silver Bullets (3)
Fracturing Gust (againts Lantern/Affinity/Bogles)
Wheel of Sun and Moon (against Lantern, Storm, KCI, Mill, Dredge, Living End)
Gaddock Teeg (against blue Control, Through the Breach, Storm, Tron)
Versatile Control (2)
Supreme Verdict
Detention Sphere
Good non wishable cards (6)
3x Leyline of Sanctity
2x Ghostly Prison
Hex Parasite

I rather have hex parasite against planeswalkers. And you already have 3 O-Rings.
For Sideboard I can recommend leyline of sanctity, sorcerous spyglass and for graveyard hate I tried them all but prefer relic of progenitus
