Why can't we run 1 or 2 Kessig Wolf Run to deal with problematic flying tokens which mostly probably our weakest match ups?
Skarrg, the Rage Pits seems better to me if you're going that route. However, making colorless mana is not where you want to be. There are occasions when even Twilight Mire is a pain in the ass and that makes two of our prominent colors but not red. So you can easily get hosed with bad opening hands. Not to mention, this way seems like a very roundabout way to deal with tokens. Why not play Grim Flayer instead?
how do we sideboard against Amulet Titan? in the guide it says bolt and push are bad but I disagree on this. bolt can kill ramp creature like Azusa and sakura tribe scout and also can go in the face.
I'm at a crossroads, I've gotten to the point where I'm cutting more and more red cards. I've always been high on Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, (notice the prof pic) and with Dredge and Burn being popular, I'm experimenting with 3 mainboard and NO Bloodbraid Elf. I cut Kolaghan's Command for Liliana, the Last Hope a while ago and now I have 3 Lightning Bolt's mainboard and that's it. I keep it Jund, because I love Raging Ravine and Anger of the Gods SB. Is it worth it at this point? Are these 3 cards worth playing Jund or should I just give up and switch to GB? I've always felt 2 colors was silly because of how perfect Jund mana has always felt. Thoughts?

@cfremont : i switch to BG definitevely, my winrate is far better with it (+20% on MTGO).
I think burn and Ur phoenix tiers 1 is a huge an argument because BG is better than Jund here. Jund is really better against affinity, humans, spirits and company deck but they are less played now. For me Jund have no really insane red card to bring against the top tiers.
I think 3 kalitas MD is one too much, maybe 1 finks over 1 kalitas here.
Jund is probably the worst deck in Modern that is a playable deck, GB isn't too far behind it. I would not recommend playing this deck or any mid-range deck if you are looking for wins or competitive games. I would also not recommend Jund or GB if you suffer from depression or have suicidal thoughts.
Just look at this thread. I scrolled back a few a pages, there is nobody on here celebrating anything. Entire weeks go by without a single post. And when there is a post, it is someone suggesting something new for the deck, that is only immediately shot down, with good reason usually. I've been playing this deck for a long time now, hoping that something would make midrange playable but we are beyond that now. Nobody wants fair games, they want infinite loop or instant kill. Playing anything else, you are just wasting your time. Move on to some other deck, that is easier to play, like Burn or Tron.

That's because we're on Facebook and Discord.
GBx decks are far from dead. They're just not the top of the food chain any more, and probably won't be ever again. I'm fine with that. Otherwise, why so salty?
@MajorRiot : hey kid, welcome in modern if you have some skills. If you don't go play burn or tron you're correct on that.
If you think midrange is bad, just take a look on Toronto or the MCQ in Strasbourg.
But i guess you don't because you are just a salty kid which probably loose against BGX because you were unlucky.
Thanks for you useless participation.
What a stupid post. Do you go into every primer on decks that aren't doing too hot right now and post the same nonsense?
The Rock is putting up serious results and there are always Jund decks in the US metagame - just look at the SCG lists. I'm assuming you're upset because you spent 2k on a Jund deck and now you can't stop 2-2ing your FNMs. Yeah it sucks, same thing happened to me so I switched to Shadow while I wait for a Jund revival. GB/X is still a incredibly powerful archetype. The only problem is that right now it's no longer top dog and has a high chance of never being the best of the best again for a long time. After all my years of playing modern I can say it's all about trends. Your either in or your out. Right now GB/X is not popular so it's not being played nearly as often as it used to be by people. Does that in any way mean it's less powerful? No just underrepresented currently. A good amount of people that play GB/X in general from my personal experience have typically higher skill sets and knowledge about modern in general so these 50/50 decks are usually able to carry them further then other decks. This does not mean all players who use GB/X are elitist it means they either like the archetype or are very spiky. No matter what GB/X will always lurk in modern being able to prey on decks. WotC always eventually prints a new thing for the GB/X archetype that boost its power level back up.

I’m surprised there’s no posts in this thread about cabal therapist. What do we think of him? We could run him with kitchen finks, or would he be better in Junk with lingering souls? Warning issued for trolling. --CWP
It's really cute and really close to being something I would want to play. That whole having to "survive until combat" is a drag for me in a big way. It's probably the fairest way to bring Cabal Therapy into Modern, and it's probably actually somewhere between decent-to-good, but to me, it's a pale imitation.
Cabal Therapist is only useful in conjunction with one of the spells that let you look at the opponent's hand.
He doesn't hurt like Thoughtseize but he takes a turn. I guess if they use a removal spell on him it's a break-even but there are several spells that will take out him and another X-1 you might care more about. Either way, you might not get the card you wanted.
I don't see any point in playing him over a discard spell in any more-or-less conventional GBx list.
I checked back to see if it has been brought up and it hasn't so what's y'alls opinion on growth chamber guardian
I've been a long time Jund and B/G/x player and also play Zoo where I tested guardian and think it can be great in Jund. In top deck mode, which happens a lot in Jund, you can chain them back to back to back 4/4s.
My usual list but I cut on confidants, scooze, and BBE for the set of guardians. The 1 nihil spellbomb can easily be anything else.
I liked playing guardians in zoo and know how good it can be in Jund. I'm definitely gunna try this list, as well as a Junk list with lingering souls and path for white.
