MTG Salvation

I'd like to figure out a deck that takes advantage of Grand Architect unfortunately I have limited experience with anything outside the current standard. Please lend a hand!

I'm playing with Mono-U right now, but with the possibility of other colors.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing or if this can even become a viable deck for modern...

Well, here's what I'm looking at right now...

I'm very interested in playing this archetype in modern as well. I currently play it in standard. Here's my take on the deck:





This deck looks like it could have a lot of potential. There are many easy-to-find wincons that can be added to the deck, from a slaver-lock with Academy Ruins to swinging with little creatures to using infinite mana from Pili-Pala to pump Steel Hellkite.

I like how splashing white gives the possibility of many great sideboard cards, like the Canonist and possibly Ghostly Prison.

You might want to consider throwing in a Blue Sun Zenith as a way to abuse the Pili-Pala combo without worrying about you opponent just removing the hellkite

Seems like a great idea. What would you suggest losing and/or adding to find it?

Your mana curves look like bad news. the architect helps but you have to get there...and have some creatures. Etherium Sculptor is key, maybe spined thopter or wind zendicon.
Are borderposts to slow?
Not sure why bother with the Lattice and no Darksteel forge or Echoing ruin
