Hi all,
I and quite new to magic (4 months~) and Have been slowly putting together an infect deck over the last little while. it works pretty well most of time thou I do occasionally find myself unable to get the combo together for the win.
Basic idea is to accelerate into a turn 2 wild defiance, then win on turn 3 with ink moth nexus or turn 4 with another creature. I love wild defiance as it stops most burn decks dead in the water and makes it very easy to do a 1-turn win with 10 damage.
I am missing a few cards and do intend to put them in this includes mutagenic growth and gut shot. My manabase also suffers from not wanting to fork out for the really expensive land cards that everyone else uses. So some budget ideas or suggestions would be great.
You should probably look at the either the "Budget G/U Infectors" thread or the "UGx Infect" thread to see what people's general UG lists look like as a start if you havent already.
A couple things:
People love misty rainforest for its ability to grab lands like breeding pool out of their decks so that they can have added early consistency.
If you really want to be able to ramp to three mana on turn three, you'll want more mana producing creatures that cost 1 mana. You'd likely want to have two more of arbor elf or 4 of Noble hierarch if you're willing/able to go the non-budgeted route.
I play BUG infect but there are lots of similarities in various infect builds. The main one being your staple green spells.
4 hierarch
4 glisteners
4 old krosa
4 groundswells
4 rancors
4 vines of vastwood
4 inkmoth
Those are kind of your core cards for infect. I understand you are on a budget. Aside from hierarch and inkmoth the rest are pretty cheap...online the rancors are pricy as well.
Your mana base needs some help as well. Get the 8 fetches once you have the staple infect cards. I'd get rid of the comes into play tapped lands. You have 4, maybe 5, turns to finish your opponent. Once you hit the midgame you most likely lost.
Add some heavy hitters and cut the fat. You will do great.

Current cards are
2 blighted agent
4 ichorclaw myr
1 blight mamba
4 glistener elf
2 putrefax
3 artful dodge
2 revenge of the hunted
1 wild growth
4 wild defiance
3 giant growth
2 titanic growth
3 apostles blessing
1 wildwood rebirth
1 unnatural predation
1 rangers guile
1 simic guildgate
5 Forrest
3 island
2 yavimaya coast
2 rouges passage
2 misty rainforest (proxy)
1 wall of roots
1 mana cylix
2 viridescent wisps
1 prophetic prism ( I like that it replaces itself)
So I know that I need to add gut shot and mutagenic growth. Also city of brass or similar for mana, but suggestions and ideas welcome!
