Three giant bombs in the board seems OTT. That's where I'd start with space, and it'd be either Baneslayer or Hellkite, depending on how it affected your mana.
Off to a GPT today, so hopefully that'll make up for it.
The 3 bombs were part of answering Jund since we'd identified a weakness in the average 75 on ability to deal with any creature they couldn't burn out (most builds dropping Maelstrom Pulse at the minute and sticking with Abrupt Decay...meant just 2 terminate to deal with Resto Angel and the bombs.) But yes they could be just 2 bombs really.
3RR wasn't too tricky - you know you've brought it in when you do so you plan your mana base according. Any of the fetches can bring the mountain painlessly and otherwise when given the chance I'll fetch Steam Vents and Hallowed Fountain early to be on for Cryptic Mana too.
My test partner did get to live the dream against Martyr/Proc as well; blinking Thundermaw with Resto Angel before his opponent could swing for lethal with Hawks and HoTP. He cracked back against a tapped field and took the game the next turn.
Spellskite on the play shut the deck down and is very good in key matchups like twin and infect. I already play a miser's copy of EE in the board against random things like Maryr decks or Lingering Souls tokens.
Singletons in a deck with virtually no manipulation is not my thing- especially when EE is already a turn slow for good bogle draws. Skite is cute, but is even easier to interact with than EE. Pass on both. Leaving myself open to the exact same faceroll scenarios, in spite of sideboarding is not the plan for me...flies in the face of my favoured control deck-tuning philosophy, which is have as many of my cards do precisely what they are supposed to do and leave an opponent with virtually no room to interact.
That means that I do not use permanents to do the job that an instant can do, so in the case of bogle decks, I'd prefer to be able to destroy all auras for 2W, period; they can keep their 1/1 hexproof dorks; all that matters are the auras. EE doesn't even save me from a coronet staying on something and one of countless other auras getting ripped, recast and ending the game.
Skite/EE are horrible plans for bogle. I thought that the continuing failure of uw on mtgo for the last while would have made my own testing results evident enough
I like 3x spell pierce 3x tempest of light in my 75 for the bogle match because the deck is innexspensive, very, very easy to pilot and unforgiving when it gets decent draws(read: far more common than bad draws). The bogle match is also the worst matchup that I have at my shop, so I do not mind having three cards in my sb that are pretty much useless for any other match.
Annul is another card worth considering for sideboards, since robots are apparently on the rise.
I just put togehter a UW angels list (I want to start with the list of Emanuel Sutor, from gp Lyon in November [http://www.mtgdecks.net/decks/view/40279]).
I like the basic idea of UW angels and decided to start with this list to get an idea of the archetyp.
I will take this to a small local FNM after some testing and want to ask, if there are some "no-goes" in this list due to the fact that it is a few weeks old?
Later I want to refine this list to fit my personal taste, but is it a good start at the moment, especially for an unkown meta?

Yes, it still is a pretty good place to start. I would make a sideboard that fits your metagame though.
I'm pretty much done with this archetype because even if the deck works well when it draws well, that doesn't compensate for the frequent occasions where I draw only the creature half of the deck or only the permission half. It has taken me a while to see it, but this archetype suffers from the same problems that the hyped uwb unburial rites deck, from last Standard season did: it was essentially two decks jammed together. The best games I've played with this archetype were with a build that ran hawks and omens, but no splicers, which was okay, but still suffered greatly as a result of being a midrange deck that wasn't particularly good at putting on pressure, nor taking over the late game.
Maybe someone will solve the puzzle, but as far as I am concerned, this archetype is a trap and the fact that it virtually never 4-0s the dailies that get posted and that notable grinders have given up on it is telling; there are too many answers needed in this format to have space for creatures that basically don't do anything, but turn on opposing decks' removal.
Where there is a will, there's a way, but this archetype flies in the face of the principles that have guided successful control strategies until relatively recenty, when designers successfully forced the best blue-based and control strategies in Standard to be relying on creatures to some capacity.
There's got to be a better-postured control-ish strategy for Modern and I'll be damned if I am going to keep trying to skate uphill with this one [that also doesn't have too many colours, like W'Tapa's]. Best of luck to you resto fans, but I'll be sadly shuffling a mono-white vial deck for upcoming PTQs unless I manage to figure out an esper teachings build that I like or something.

I don't think the puzzle is going to get solved as people had access to these cards for months. It's going to take a card the power level of deathrite shaman to give UW more consistency. So UW is not going to get much better till Dragon's Maze.
Control has it hard in modern. Im sure a good lower cmc no land control uw mid range deck will spin off of uw control. Or maybe down the road control will get better.
I think uw control now, just tries to do too much, land control via tect edge, play the mid game, try to counter threats, try to deal damage to win at some point. Its like a big house of cards.
Is tect edge really worth it in this deck? Most decks in modern can run just fine off 3 lands, including tron if they are the right lands. with tect edge you have to run 26 lands which gives you extremly watered down draws because thats just too much land. how long are you going to keep jund off 4 mana? A turn? Not even that with drs sometimes, it doesnt seem worth it too me.
Bolt/Izzet Charm DRS, Tech Edge their Raging Ravine. Ggz. Tech edge is a removal Spell.

That's true, but I think UW restoration is not at all a control deck, it's a midrange deck and you can't succesfully play it like a control deck. Draw go play-style doesn't work with this deck.
A big problem is, that there is no good cantrip/library manipulation spell to let you find an answer when you need to or just fix your land draws. Still I will try Telling Time or Serum Visions (even though both are not really good) to fix this problem a little bit. But I am not sure what to cut to find a place for them......
My sig deck is true uw midrange, in that it plays threats turns 1-2 not just turns 3-6 like these builds. Mine is like uw jund, value cards, and no land control, turns 3-4 are still my optimal turns but I can end games on turns 4-5 via delver.
Not sure if this is best place to post, but although I ran pretty badly on the deck, one of my testing partners made top 8 of Liverpool PTQ with UWR Resto Angel:
Basic reasoning behind was access to burn gives more interactivity against deathrite shaman and more reach. The path is a bit rough with tec edge and mana leak, they don't all play nice together. (although some matches you just need the removal no matter the cost)
Counterflux did a lot of work. Really well placed since the deck is very good against other fair decks, so it comes in and combo really struggles.
Did originally had sowing salt in the board but mana was a bit too much to fix for it. Probably next step is refining the sideboard as not having a sweeper can hurt and still can't decide if no graveyard interaction is right (the deck wants to use Snapcaster a little more than UW does so I didn't feel happy with the idea of boarding out Snappies for RiP etc)
I like the deck. In testing, it has run very smoothly. One question, though, have you considered some number of baneslayer angels in the mainboard? I have liked this card, especially since jund is really big in my area.
EDIT: I have also been considering a few blood moons in the sideboard. They feel pretty risky, but I think that this deck might be able to win under a blood moon.
EDIT 2: Blood moons haven't been very good, this deck doesn't run enough fetch lands to support it.

I run a set of serum visions in my sig deck. But thats :symuw:midrange/tempo. Its amazing to dig for sb cards, or lands or creatures, and its like having a 9 card opening hand if you have it. Good in midrange, bad in control I guess. Even though its the only spell thats live %100 of the time when flashed back with snapcaster.
1) These aren't even control decks, so that's moot.
2) You play Delver, so Scrying has obvious relevance for you.
3) It is not like having 9 cards. It's like having six and being forced to pay a mana to find out what your seventh is. It forces bad mulligan decisions, really.
4) Snapping it back is paying 3 to not really do anything. Then you get blown out because you've tapped out.
The card is fine from T3 onwards, but at that point you may as well play Telling Time, or even Forbidden Alchemy.
Im a big fan of telling time its kind of the modern brainstorm, I forgot about flashing back sorceries, serum visions isnt optimal in uw midrange. I would like to see a list with telling time, it might work good.
Hey guys! I'm gearing up for a modern tournament in my local area, are there any changes that you guys could suggest to my list as improvements? If you could, along with your suggestions include the logic behind your changes. I'm looking to improve the list, I'm just also wanting to learn why some things that I have done would be considered as "bad". Also, I'm thinking of trying to find somewhere in the 75 to put Spreading Seas. I have heard that they are good against the Tron match-up and I have been hearing that many players locally have been building it, so I figure I should give more of a nod to that somewhere in my list. The inclusion of the two planeswalkers is something that I have been trying out recently since I saw them in another UW list online. Thanks for any input guys!

I don't think you want 2 main deck supreme verdicts if you're playing geists. There's one cute thing you can do is attack, cast boros charm, then wrath second main phase to save your geist.

The ghost quarter is probably unnecessary, and I don't see the castle doing that much work either. I would add 1 steam vents and something else. I would also cut the verdicts and paths for more creatures and maybe some mana leaks.

Izzet charm is the way to go if you have red, this deck needs all the utility it can get, its also amazing with snapcaster.
