A quick search on Gatherer reveals no possible candidates for ritual replacements. If this deck is to be updated, it looks like we might have to look elsewhere. Even more cantrips possibly?
I think the deck is simply dead at this point. The deck was playable before, but by no means broken or anything. You could maybe do things, but like, it's just so inconsistent now. Seething Song was probably the best card in the deck, now it's difficult to generate mana consistently. If you're playing a deck that's okay, not great, and they ban the best card, well, the deck just becomes bad.

This is basically the best way to sum it up. It's now an 'okay' deck, is no longer consistent, and will very likely go the way of other banned combo decks.
I suppose it's time to see if Simian Spirit Guide is even close to a replacement (it's not) or start preparing for a deck incapable of winning until turn 6 or so.

Tantarus: It didn't make the gaka greifer level, so it should be fine
I was working on a deck with summoner's pact to grab dryad arbor as fuel for infernal plunge. I stopped because I felt it was overkill, but maybe now I should take a second look at it.

Lycanthropy Awareness Day.
Hoping for a cure, or at least an outbreak.

I doubt it. It was a fine card as a 1-of before Electromancer, specifically because you lost to Telemin Performance. It's just not the value Seething Song is, not even close. Seething Song nets you 2 mana as a card, and can be cast twice, giving Storm both times. Spirit Guide nets you 1 mana once, and doesn't count to Storm. And additionally, Seething Song nets you 3 mana if you have an Electromancer. You really need efficient mana sources, and SSG isn't that. You could maybe play Geosurge if you like losing to Remand or Mana Leak.
I hate to say it but after a year of playing this deck it is dead...I have the whole thing foiled out :'(. Without Seething Song the deck just isnt fast enough to be a viable competitive deck. Off to scapeshift i go!
The deck's dead. I really hope I can be proved wrong, but it's freaking dead. This decision really made me angry. Storm was always the kind of black sheep beneath the top tier decks, because it was kinda cheap to build. Modern is a crazy experiment aimed to doctrinate new players into an aggro vs control meta, with no crazy plays. IMO this is more of a lucrative decision rather than trying to balance the game.
See you in legacy or playing kiki-twin, my fellow combo players.

I made a basic deck based around this idea and it almost works. It takes until turn 5 or 6 before you can win, but it does win. This could possibly be an option.

What artifacts or creatures are you going to play with the mana from Geosurge? :/
back to combo swans...oh wait BBE is banned whatever use the other 4 mana cascade spell....**** WoTC.
The other 4CM cascade spells are BAD, very BAD.
They hardly give effects worth 2 manas. BBE was great because she was a 3/2 Haste (already worth 3R) and for a slightly more restrictive cost (2RG) gives you free Maelstrom Pulses, Liliana of the Veil, Kitchen finks, Dark Confidants...
so just make a somewhat inconsistent deck into a more inconsistent deck....sweet...i know your joking...or at least i can hope so.
other dude- no you know combo swans ran captured sunlight. if your a combo deck gaining life isn't usually bad but they did the same thing and just meant more consistency. BBE was preferred since its backup plan was to beat down with manlands...
and no BBE wasn't always giving you free spells in jund id argue 25% of the time she hits nothing on cascade but shuffles dead cards away, aka they have no hand you hit thoughtsieze/IoK, you have lilly in play hit lilly, your almost dead hit bob(this one is arguable but against burn decks no...), hit terminate/abrupt decay agaisnt no creatures, etc etc. it happens decently often. Their choice to ban it i disagree with it but thats not here or now.
In case you hadn't heard Seething Song has been banned along with Bloodbraid Elf. The question I ask you guys is what happens to Storm now. It has received a lot of ammunition in Goblin Electromancer and Epic Experiment but is that enough? Does it simply just not have enough mana generation without song?
In other words, WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS????
Shaeffer out....

The deck as we know it is dead for sure. Eight rituals that net one mana each isn't enough fuel.
If a Grapeshot deck does emerge after this, it will be in a control deck with a combo finisher.
Storm is dead. Netting one mana off rituals isn't enough to cast PiF and the ritual chain again. Netting one mana isn't enough to get a significant number of spells in an Epic Experiment (a card already limited as **** due to counterspells). With BBE gone there's going to be so many more decks running blue. Wizards isn't filled with idiots, they knew storm would be a lot less powerful in the format with BBE gone. They gave some nonsense excuse for the banning when anyone with half a brain can see they just wanted storm gone.
But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a deck representing just 11% online and jack squat in real life tournaments needed to be crippled.
The trouble is, that only works once. Multiple copies are redundant, and they have no interaction with Pyromancer's Ascension or Past in Flames. The mana is also colourless, although that is less of an issue.

In all seriousness - can this deck be salvaged now? Or is all hope lost?
It's your job win every game of Magic where you're not.
