This deck can win on turn 4, so it can race combo. It also plays white, so it has good sideboard options. It can also race affinity since it has life link cards.
I played this deck a while back when I was running ascetics, ledgewalkers, and mana dorks. I guess playing only 1 drops is getting the deck more consistent. Back then Zoo was king and I would play Jund that still played Blighting. Blighting hurt a lot since my list was slower. Also Storm was played a lot back then.
Interesting. I must have overlooked the extra power ethereal armor gives to us. I guess I'll have to take out my ledgewalkers and ascetics and try this out.
Oh yay.
So not only are people winning with a version of this that is apparently superior to the plan I was brewing for the last few months, but now I'm also looking at paying 5 times as much per card for the Daybreak Coronets that I hadn't ordered yet.
I should've ordered the darn things as soon as I started brewing.
On the plus side - at least I've convinced myself that you don't need 4.
I'm totally making fun of myself. Feel free to pile on.
Daybreak Coronet is now 20$ in paper... I have a playset and am very tempted to sell mine now. I love this deck though and with these new cards, I am tempted to get rid of it. Wow.

I'm in the exact same position. I built a weird jankier version of this deck for multiplayer casual games. On the one hand I basically have everything I need to play this deck competitively, on the other I could offload my Daybreaks now.
Difficult decision.

If you couldn't tell I hate greedy blue decks.
Its like what happened with martyr proc. Flavor of the month smh. I think Daybreak will never come close to the 4 dollar mark again. Once some demand has been established, it will never change.

I just want one more for my casual deck! Sigh, oh well, maybe I'll turn it into something like this. When Gladecover was Standard I was running something a lot like this (more Miracles, less enchantments)
Daybreak Coronet was a $7 pre boglle deck. It was that high because there's a Zur/Bruna EDH deck.
Obviously the bogle deck is the reason why the price is as high as it is now. People streaming the deck were buying all the copies on mtgo, and i'm sure lots of other people who were watching the streams were buying electronic and paper copies.
What is a sideboard against a deck like that? Dont forget the draw of Kor Spiritdancer, so you can just hold on your auras and when you need play all your hand and some auras from your deck in a creature and win.
You really need a instant speedy response to hate this deck.
EDIT: My first port of call in testing is going to be the Kor Spiritdancers. Blanking all of their targeted removal is a good thing, and these guys are just begging to be zapped. Dryad Arbor gets a pass for the utility of being able to fetch it EOT safely if they're tapped out, or responding to sacrifice effects.
Kor Spirit Dancer gives you explosive wins (turn 4), and helps you get out of mulligans. Plus you draw a card when you cast the aura (as opposed to resolving one), so you come out even if someone tries to kill the spirit dancer in response to a removal spell. After you resolve an aura on the spirit dancer, she has 4 toughness so bolt doesn't do it. And obviously umbra's blank other removal spells.
You could try 4 ledgewalkers in the board as the sideboard for this deck is fairly weird. You can't play anything over 3 cmc unless it's leyline of sanctity. Rule of law is probably the only 3 CMC card you'd play, but it's kind of a nobo with the deck anyways. Playing reactive spells with this deck sucks, because you always want to be tapping out and putting on a clock.
I think there are a few definite sideboard slots, teeg, spellskite, and spirit link. Teeg and spellskite help you vs combo and control. And teeg and spellskite can be enchanted. And spirit link helps you race aggro. After those 3 cards I think the sideboard is open to try other cards. I think silence might be another consideration.
Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
going through each replay: thank you for your work.
so question. if i play a ratchet bomb or engineered explosive for 1, and a gladecover scout has a 1 mana umbra on it, is it destroyed?
6/15/2010: If a spell or ability (such as Planar Cleansing) would destroy both an Aura with totem armor and the permanent it's enchanting at the same time, totem armor's effect will save the enchanted permanent from being destroyed. Instead, the spell or ability will destroy the Aura in two different ways at the same time, but the result is the same as destroying it once.
Thalia just eats this deck, pay 1WW for daybreak, and buy a Aura that cust W but need to pay 1W for that is just a end for this deck. So you get time to build your game, and to remove the creatures and auras.
What one player is saying about Bogle.dec in the Jund forum.
I played against the GW Aura deck a few times in the MTGO 2-mans over the weekend, and did well but the matches were very close.
Game one can be tough because Abrupt Decay/Terminate/etc. are largely dead cards unless they have the Kor Spiritdancer draw. Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek are all-stars on the play, letting you grab a hexproof dude. I had some games where I'd grab a Slippery Bogle from their hand on turn one and they would literally do nothing for the rest of the game.
I was running 3x Liliana, and the edict ability can be devastating for the aura deck. I had a double Liliana draw in one game and felt invincible. This can be a trap though - be sure to realize they run Dryad Arbor as a way to guard against Liliana's edict.
One of the issues I had is that I have ZERO in my sideboard to bring in and help this matchup. If the deck becomes/stays popular, there are definitely options available: Back to Nature seems strong, and Engineered Explosives/Ratchet Bomb also seem good and also potentially useful in other matchups.
I think it helps sometimes to see what the other side has to say. This illustrates my complaint about low creature count in this deck.
I saw a version that ran Noble Hierarch but no blue cards.

I believe the deck name is "Blouses"? I heard somewhere...
I guess Invisible Stalker and Geist arent fast enough for the deck?
I also guess Boggle in this deck is our Nimble Mongoose?
Blue is not needed, it just makes the mana base more awkward.
This deck should have "bogle" in the name though.
Nimble Bogle-Scouts?
Fortunately, I got mine before the price spike, so this should be a fun time.
Any advice on sideboard cards?

Thanks for doing that.
Tron can run Oblivion Stone which unfortunately leaves Umbra'd creatures but without the auras usually they are pretty week.
