I'll be going to a tourney this weekend and taking a standard build. Looking at the results of the last modern, there were a couple of pod decks, living end and jund as usual.
I'm just wondering what are good cards to sideboard against Living End and Pod decks.

Aven Mindcensor is very good against Pod, as is extra removal, including mass removal like Pyroclasm. I also don't mind having access to a Disenchant effect. With the list I have now, I bring in one of each of those cards I mentioned and cut 1 Geist of Saint Traft and 2 Remand.
As for Living End, countermagic is good, as is any sort of graveyard or storm hate, though I don't think Living End/Eggs are a big enough part of the metagame to dedicate sideboard slots too with Rule of Law now that storm is dead.

Lightning Angel is my favorite card of all time and usually the poster girl of UWR strategies over the years, but sadly, it began to steadily lose favor when Baneslayer Angel was printed for the first time, and the printing of Restoration Angel more or less sealed the fate of Lightning Angel. The only upside to Lightning Angel is having vigilance which meant she can be played aggressively and defensively at the same time. But she doesn't even come close compared to Restoration Angel. Being able to surprise block, recur 187 effects, save Geist from combat are way too important in this format.
I've tested Aurelia's Fury and it's quite underwhelming. When I want to kill small creatures, it's not as efficient as Electrolyze. When I want to tap fatties such as Goyf, I'd rather have a Cryptic Command. When I want to preempt my opponent from casting spells, I'd rather have a counterspell to get rid of the spell for good, instead of delaying the inevitable. It's backbreaking against Storm but Storm has been nerfed. Never played against Eggs but it might have more relevance in that matchup.
One of the main reasons why it's underwhelming is that we can't consistently hit land drops every turn due to the lack of card draw to power a huge Aurelia's Fury. It might have more potential in Wafo Tapa's deck because of the increased amount of card draw but if I have a gazillion amount of mana, I'd rather cast Sphinx's Revelation, except maybe when the opponent is in burnable range.
Has anyone tried putting cryptic command in the deck? Late game it seems like I need a definitive "no" to some cards. Or maybe a different hard counter. Thoughts?

If you want a definitive "no", Counterflux is probably better. Having your Cryptic Command get Remanded would be sad, plus Cryptic is slower.
Going to a PTQ this weekend into an unknown meta. Maindeck is fairly well decided and is fairly stock but with restos main and mindcensors in the board. But apart from the following the rest of the sideboard is up in the air:
2 Aven Mindcensor
2 Engineered Explosives
2 batterskull
1 Counterflux
Thinking of adding in 2 Sowing salt or Molten rain and 1 Sword of war and peace for the mirror but what about the other slots? Any suggestions? Is wrath better or pyroclasm?
So, how do you guys deal with hatebear. I feel like our matchup is unfavorable. Thalia, souls and smiter seems bad. what do you guys side board agianst it or how do you deal with it. Or am I just psyching myself out and the match up is not as bad as I think.

Thalia and Souls you can just use pyro, it's a turn later, but a two turns before verdict and it'll help keep them in check until you can draw it into the late game.

I guess that makes sense. I am probably over reacting. Anyways this is my deck.
sword of war and peace. should be in your sideboard for the mirror anyways.
I didn't even think about how well that is in the hatebear match-up, I'll have to try swapping my Batterskull for a Sword of War and Peace.
@Fanne Blind Obedience would only stop bad Kiki-Pod/Twin players; it only delays their combo one turn. They can make a million copies on your end step, have them come into play tapped and then swing for the game on their turn.

They can make a million trillion copies, but they only last till end of turn, so they would have to remake the copies in your turn and they come into play tapped.

If your opponent makes copies with Splinter Twin or Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker during your end step, the beginning of that end step has passed, and since the tokens stay on the battlefield until the beginning of the next end step, they live to untap and swing on your opponent's turn.

That is only partially correct. Kiki says at end of turn so they can't use their combo, but splinter twin says at the beginning of the next end step. Therefore blind obeidiance stops it if they use Kiki, but they only use 2 or 3 of that anyway. Honestly there are better ways to stop it than blind obeidiance.

I'm not sure how often you'll be able to equip the sword. Your creatures will get bolted in response to getting equipped. These decks will still have 8-12 removals spells after sideboarding. Presumable you're taking out most of your cliques and mindcensors to not get blown out by electrolyze. The only good creature to put sword on is geist, and if you have a geist out you're already winning. If you're playing 4 resto angels i might agree with having sword in your sideboard.

You should read kiki's oracle text. Kiki and splinter twin work the same in regards to tokens' life span.
However there's one difference between twin and kiki. Kiki takes one more turn over twin (and that's not because it costs more).
Twin
1) enchant your creature with twin (turn 1)
2) wait till end step make creatures
3) attack next turn with creatures (turn 2)
Kiki
1) kiki enters tapped and does nothing (turn 1)
2) make a bunch of creatures at end step (turn 2)
3) attack (turn 3)
What do you think is better: the traditional version with Cliques and Restos, or the new Geist of Saint Win which only has its namesake creature, Snapcasters, and instead 4 Cryptic Commands? It seems like the later one is more favored right now. Hmmmm....

^ that first list looks like the evolution of the deck. Where you cut out all your low impact cards for the mirror. Notice there's no path to exiles, so this deck wants to play geist late to win instead of early. It wants to trade 1 for 1 then pull ahead with cryptic and revelation.
The second deck is just wafo tapa's deck. Also notice the lack of paths.
This looks great, sort of a combination of UWR Midrange and Wafo-Tapa Control. I'm not sold on 0 paths, but I feel like adding cryptic is a good choice.

I think I am in the same places. I can understand dropping the cliques because while it is a good card it usually died but dropping paths bother me because there are creatures that this deck cannot 1 for 1; smiter, thrun, sometimes tarmagoyf. 2 of those cannot get countered, 1 has hex proof and the third can get big in late game. Furthermore, I do not know how many times resto came in for the save. Anyways, I need to play test it and see if I like it better or not. Sadly, the day before a ptq means I probably will not change.
I've been trying the Cryptics in this new version and they are really amazing most of the time (except if you get few land drops early lol), but I'm still reluctant to drop the paths... a simple goyf could eat me then!

* Better Topdeck Lategame
* Better Blocker
Cons of Lightning Angel
* No Flash
* Doesnt Blink Creatures (Can help save geist and reuse clique)
* Harder To Cast
Honestly it isnt that close to restoration angel but it is probobly the best budget replacement.

No, not really. Resto is better in every way in this deck. Resto is also very strong with Snappy, Clique, and Resto.
