If it's going to get banned, it might actually be for time constraints, much like Sensei's Divining Top.
This.
When every round of a GP goes past time because of the same deck, there's a problem. When a player can get up and walk away for 10+ minutes, come back, and his opponent still hasn't finished the combo, there's a problem.
It's really about the player - the better players can win easily within the round, the worse ones can't, and it gets blamed on the deck. Maybe that's fair enough, but I can easily finish a match in time with the deck myself. The opponent only really takes up 5-10 minutes of the time of the match normally, because you're so uninteractive, so you do get easily enough time to combo out. I've heard it said that the problem is that the opponents don't concede early enough, but I don't think that's really true either. It's reasonable to not concede until you're 100% dead (ie. the pyrite spellbomb loop is happening), and just because they have lots of eggs, blooms and sunrises doesn't necessarily mean they can win - they could just brick forever, or misplay, or not actually have a wincon in their deck (some dragonstorm players sided out dragons if their opponent conceded to the dragonstorm game one).

A lot of people are afraid to take the necessary shortcuts to save time, too. Esp at rel 1 and higher, they're afraid of shortcutting wrong, and will literally sac 1 egg at a time, wait for triggers, sac, so on. In the early loops, it's understandable, but if you shortcut and play cleanly, I find winning takes about 5 min from start to finish. Just remember that floor rules clearly state that you are allowed to use shortcuts with combos, and if your opponent objects to the shortcuts, call a judge.

"The real problem with vexing devil is not that it is bad so much as it's not good" - KNTO 4/2/2013.
I think there is a reasonably good chance that this deck will receive some kind of crippling ban. The "legitimate" reason that they will provide will be related to Ree's comment, in that the deck often eats up the clock unnecessarily. The "real" reason is that a majority of players hate playing against it, including pros.
If I were in charge of banning, I would look first at Reshape. It lets you cheat out Lotus Blooms for profit. Or you could try to be even more innocuous and ban Conjurer's Bauble. Stopping Reshape would slow down the deck as it would need to naturally draw into Blooms and wait for Suspend and makes them dead draws when comboing. Stopping Bauble prevents recursion. I just chose those two cards since as of now that one deck is the only one that uses them and I have no problem with SS if it is used in a non-combo way.

I am looking for Date Stamped promos from Khans of Tarkir block so I can finish my set. Check my wants if you have any.
Currently offering 2 non-foil Kolighan's Command for a Date Stamped foil!
I hope they don't ban it, it's my first "official, I'm playing the format now" Modern deck at this point after it taking me so long to decide on what I'd push in the format.
I was just wondering because its not like caw blade where it was every where. I mean in the gp's and the pro tour I have only seen maybe a deck or two.

Yes, It's my only modern deck. I'm done with modern for good if this happens. My decks keep getting banned.
Also, It's competitive magic, it's not always supposed to be fun. If you want to beat Eggs... Build a proper board.
I can, unfortunately, see them using 'time' as an excuse to ban something. Although it's hard, because it's an entire deck of slow cards. My buddy actually got Shahrazad banned in Legacy... But that was one card that blatantly takes forever, and they don't remove themselves, resulting in several sub-games.
There isn't really one oppressive card in Eggs, it's the pile of cards assembled together that causes grief.
My thoughts.
Edit: It's also hard to pilot, which scares people away, so maybe that will allow this deck to exist.

When the format first was announced I was on the infect shoal plan. Bought the deck, played it. Then it got banned and I went for 12post. Then Cloudpost saw a ban. I took a lot of time off the format, then eventually came back because I wanted to have a deck. I planned on Eggs after seeing Faith's Reward in M13 and I procrastinated. Then it won the pro tour and I had to wait a bit for deck prices to go back down. They did and I bought into it. I'll be done with the format for a very long time if Eggs also gets banned.
That said, after playing it a bit I think it might be too fast for the format. It goes off on turn 3 quite a bit.
every ban list helps aggro decks even more soon they're going to get to the point that they'll eventually go "Ban Figure of Destiny" or "ban Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker" cuz it's too unhealthy for the format. I say let people play whatever they want in modern and let the metagame dictate itself. You're having a problem with combo decks? play Rest in Peace. I hear sideboards are great to help against decks you can't beat or have trouble beating. when modern was extended way back then, people weren't moaning about thoptermeek and hypergenesis. they were boarding artifact hate and chalice for 0 out the board. and those decks WERE unhealthy.
My point is, eggs isn't unhealthy. It may go off turn 3, but it bricks alot more than you know, so the community needs to relax, stop complaining about 1 deck that not everyone has the patience to play at a major tournament(I play it and it is a major headache lol) and just board gy hate that is already played for giftsrites, etc. and just hate it out.
If you are planning to attend GP Portland, Eggs is very popular with a lot of the "hey I'll pick up this deck" flavor of the month netdeckers in the Portland magic scene. This is both good and bad. Bad in the sense your chances of facing it in swiss rounds might be possibly as good as Jund. Good in the sense that a large amount of them are terrible at playing the deck and brick a higher percentage of the time. Also a little bad if you play eggs as nearly all of the decent tournament players have experience and extensive sideboard for it.
eggs seems like a good metagame foil to punish a too midrangey meta. The biggest problem with modern is stagnation and I think it's important to have decks like eggs. Personally, it looks super annoying and boring to play with and against, but I recognize the importance of villans in stories.
more of a PR deal than anything else I'd say. Sure the deck managed to win early at times but honestly the fact that 95% of all Modern players hated the deck didn't help.

First they came for the Cantrips, and I didn't speak up, because I wasn't a Cantrip.
Then they came for the Artifacts, and I didn't speak up, because I was an Instant.
Then they came for the Rituals, and I didn't speak up, because I wasn't really a Ritual.
Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me.
I will let this thread stand for now. If it gets off track I will issue the necessary infractions and ship it to the ban list thread. t_c
