BOOM. Second Sunrise is gone. This doesn't 'kill' the deck but it makes it not competitive at all.
Most of us saw this coming but it doesn't make it right. Better invest in Scapeshift combo players.

Mhjames: mtgsalvation: I DON'T SEE HOW THIS CARD IS GOOD. I KNOW PATRICK CHAPIN USED IT AND WENT 8-0, BUT THAT WAS A SMALL TOURNAMENT. THE CARD IS TOO SLOW. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THE OPPONENT HAS A SPELL IN THE GRAVEYARD

Not really, they killed probably the most boring and hated deck in the format.

Solidarity / Lands / Sneak and Show / Grixis Delver / Reanimator / Belcher / Storm / Dredge
Eggs was not banned for being too powerful, it was banned for delaying tournaments. In any case, I hated Eggs and am very glad to see it die.
It's not about giving the format time to adapt, it's about killing a deck that is boring and can consistently break the turn 4 rule.
