Shining Shoal has actually been working great for me in a UW build similar in concept to that Bant list. I run two copies, but a few more white cards obviously since I ditched green. When your ideal goal is to keep Geist alive so the Angels can keep going, it works great for saving him while dealing more damage. Extra Elspeth's and Geist's make great pitch cards.
I love how they call an ad nasuem deck esper lol. Hopefully we will start getting more players in these events and people that have zoo will start playing so we can get a handle on the changes from the new ban list although it will be what a month until the changes go into effect.

Does that guy possibly have Threads of Disloyalty in his/her sideboard? Also, does he/she run Temporal Isolation? Those are really good "Enchant Creature" cards to run in UW Ghost "Dad"/Tallowisp Haterator.

I didn't see those cards.
He ended up losing in the finals, after a mull to 5 on the play in game 3.

This is part of the reason why I can't take these things seriously. A UW jank-aggro deck went 3-1 lol.
heck a pyromancer's Ascension deck with grim lavamancer went 3-1. that is a red flag because those 2 cards should never be in the same sentence unless it is something like I was playing my Ascension deck and I lost to a red deck that was dumb enough to run grim lavamancer.

Ideally, you want to get Tallowisp out to make every other spirit you play into a tutor for whatever enchantment you need. Geist of Saint Traft is especially potent when it actually fetches the Angelic Destiny you're going to put on it next turn. Alternatively, you can fetch answers like Prison Term if you need to deal with a problem creature.
Of course, from the few cards we currently know, it looks like the backup plan is to play out as a basic W/U aggro deck. Even a simple Vedalken Outlander can be quite the threat when enchanted with Steel of the Godhead.

spirit stompy was a deck that saw play it like 1 tournament. It was a deck that answered one specific meta game were no one ran removal. Soon after it came into existance zoo came into the picture and cleaned it out. I would say that history should repeat itself. Heck the spirit stompy decks actually had good cards like Armadillo Cloak, and living wish. Also they were UG because of trolls and goyfs.
I know what ghost dad is. I played extensively in standard back when I first started.

Spirit stompy used odyssey's spirits that didn't die with +x+x enchantments on them, that's about it.
this was a pretty big part of it lol.

kaOz.Zeh wins again with his/her Counter-Cat Zoo, while Dimir Teachings, Boom//Bust Zoo, Martyr Proc (with Ghostly Prisons maindeck), and an interesting WR Staxx deck get close.
Martyr Proc wins (Nevermores maindeck), and another Martyr Proc (Prisons sided out), Melira Pod (Asmodeius again), Zoo (Traditional Naya), and UR Storm (MTGO Academy cannot name decks--it called that one Mono-Blue) get close.
Counter-Cat Zoo wins (different pilot, packs Moorland Haunt--an underrated land in Modern, IMO), with Martyr Proc (Squadron Hawks in the sideboard), Jund, Esper Teachings, and an unusual UW Tallowisp Aggro deck get close. The UW Tallowisp Aggro deck looks more and more like GW Tallowisp Haterator the more I look at it--it has Troll AsceticGeist of Saint Traft, Worships in the sideboard, and Steel of the Godhead as a bad Armadillo Cloak substitute.
Has Jund been kicked out of MTGO? Will Martyr Proc move into Established? Will Merfolk move to Developing Competitive? Is Geist of Saint Traft a fixture of Counter-Cat Zoo? (Sure seems like it.) Who knows?

Gotta say I like the way that you report these.
And Jund is clearly the best deck to be playing right now. It doesn't have many bad match ups.

Are you sure that the Marty-Proc list was running Nevermore in the maindeck? That's a really strange choice. Where can I see this deck list?
Yes, I am. Just click the 3rd Modern Daily link and click on the "Mono White" decklist link at the top of the chart. There really are 2 Nevermores in that maindeck.
MTGO Academy and Wizards's lists correspond; I've checked.
Mono white decks cost less than 100 bucks online. I expect to see a ton of these and other budget decks. Most real ptq players use IRL test groups or test privately over MTGO.

Just the other day I looked up the cost of Martyr-Proc online and it was close to $200 from what I remember. I will double-check and confirm.

I disagree. From what I've seen watching replays, the deck appears to do quite well against tier 1 decks.
Anyway, the latest daily was won by Hive Mind, beating out Living End in the finals. There's another going on right now — the first one I've seen with above the minimum of 16.

While certainly not best friends, it's not surprising to see pyro's ascension using grim lavamancers. With careful selection a good player can use his activation cost wisely enough to mitigate the anti synergy. You'll also be leaning on the wizard the most when your plan A isn't firing perfectly, and when you have an active ascension with relevant spells he just acts as an extra shock at the end of your chain of spells.
Also, it's nice to see a deck like ghost dad popping up. Just because it's supposedly "jank" doesn't mean it can't beat out a crew of unprepared opponents. Sounds like the online meta gas a decent range of diversity at least. Who says the format's not healthy?

I'm actually surprised prices of Martyr Proc on paper hasn't jumped that much lately.
A lot of places still have Proclamation of Rebirth listed at $1.50 but are completely sold out and CFB are still rocking a ton of Serra Ascendant's at $2 a piece(though just about everywhere else has it listed at $3.50)
Meanwhile Proc on MTGO skyrocketed from a .5?ish ticket card to a 5-6 ticket card, seemingly overnight.
Either way, the deck seems to be getting a ton of attention lately by just about everyone but the people who write articles, which is probably why paper prices haven't gone up that much.
I love playing against that monowhite deck online. I've mainly been playing esper gifts using the uburial + iona combo, and I tell you what its awesome against that deck. If I dont just get the concede off iona the games go until they life gain to some ridiculous amount and lose to the clock.

It's an Anti-Zoo Stax-like deck. But, it did lose 0-2 to Zoo in the finals.
To be fair, the Zoo player had a pretty sweet deck. Mana Leaks in the main, along with Lightning Angel
