What cards, if any, do you think should be unbanned/banned in Modern in the next announcement?

Remember that Extended and Legacy are/were able to handle Jitte perfectly fine, whereas Skullclamp was broken enough to get banned in both.
they are both busted completely busted in half, in no banlist Modern, the most absurd deck I ever saw played both. I think Clamp is more powerful where it gets played, but Jitte is more flexible and in any creature deck it is an automatic 4 of. there are creature decks Clamp doesn't improve, if you attack with creatures, you play Jitte
A card being available to more decks doesn't make it more broken. Lightning Bolt is played in a lot more decks than Hypergenesis would, it doesn't mean Lightning Bolt is more broken.

I advocate for the elimination of the combo archetype in Modern. I believe it is degenerate and unfun by its very nature and will always limit design space and cause unnecessary bans.
Though for Modern, the original rationale for banning Jitte (on what I call the "prototype" banned list, i.e. the 6-card banlist before they added a lot more cards to it for the Pro Tour) was that it and Stoneforge Mystic were too good together, and they thought Stoneforge Mystic was a more interesting card to have around, so they banned Jitte. But then when they made the first "real" banned list (for the Pro Tour) they decided Stoneforge Mystic was too good also and banned that... meaning their original rationale for Umezawa's Jitte actually no longer applied.
The real issue for me with Umezawa's Jitte isn't that it's too powerful exactly. In fact, a lot of decks simply do not care about it; do you think a Tron player cares at all about the opponent spending 4 mana to not accomplish anything until their next turn? The big issue with it is that it's a game breaker in creature deck vs. creature deck matchups.

bear in mind that i don't play that much modern, but seeing T2 tks in a format that doesn't allow Daze or wasteland I just feel it can't be healthy at all.

Many thanks to HotP Studios. Special thanks to DNC for this great sig.
TBH I probably went too far with Stoneforge and Jace because T3 uncounterable Batterskull is insane and Brainstorm in a format without it is pretty questionable.
Decks I'm playing in Modern right now:
URB Grixis Reveler (http://www.mtgvault.com/supast4r7/decks/modern-grixis-reveler/)
UB Faeries (http://www.mtgvault.com/supast4r7/decks/ub-fae-2/)
UW Azorious Control (http://www.mtgvault.com/supast4r7/decks/modern-ojutai-control-2/)
It's really not. It can be for some decks and completely irrelevant to others. That's the Modern roulette wheel. In a format where Lightning Bolt and Path to Exile are in more than half the decks as a 4-of, and you have to devote two full turns to doing nothing else, I don't see her being as big of a problem. Although, with the printing of Sigarda's Aid, people can actually do stuff with those stranded equipment, so who knows.
I don't think anything will be unbanned until at least January. Either way, I'm just hanging out with my buddies, waiting to see if they ever get to come out and play again.

As for Stoneforge Mystic, it is highly questionable whether a turn 3 Batterskull is that much more dangerous than the rest of the things you can do in this format; Tarmogoyf is usually going to be bigger than that Batterskull at 4/5 and can attack, and Tron can do a lot of crazy stuff on the third turn. Many decks also just don't care that much about a Stoneforge Mystic. To be fair, Stoneforge Mystic requires less of an investment than something like Tron (which has to pack its deck with an absurdly high amount of tutors and cantrips to work), but this is still a format where there's a lot of hugely powerful things you can do on turn 3 or even earlier.
By the way everyone, I'm closing this poll later today, so this is your last chance to get your votes in.

I agree that the two cards are like apples and oranges. You'd never consider both for the same slot, but you would consider JTMS over most of the format's other planeswalkers. He has more than just his 0 going for him, after all. The +2 gives control decks a lot of information and the ability to swap threats for something else, much like Vendilion Clique, and the -1 provides serious tempo. Against many matchups, those two abilities could buy enough time for his ult.

I think it'll be a while til it comes off, but it's just too slow honestly to be oppressive.

This. Dies to removal is never a reason for something being ok.
Faeries are making a comeback, just you watch.
I'm hoping for a Splinter Twin unbanning. It might be too soon, but I think it'll happen someday. I hope so anyway.
this format is much more powerful than people seem to realize. sfm could very well be fine.
