I think for this deck to evolve it needs to take the direction of the David Ochoa list from worlds. That list can easily swap out some of the meta-game hate cards for Garruk Wildspeaker and Death Cloud, and actually play very similarly. I find that doing so helps certain matches that were previously difficult (for me at least) such as Tron.
I'm presently on this build. Doing very well now that I have gone to lower CC cards. It's nice to have an out to decks in the form of Death Cloud. Turns out the ramp with Steve was just plain bad and DRS is great late game. Finks just seems bad now that Ooze is around.
In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.

You splashed white, but no VoR? I also think the BoP and the Path have to go.
VoR is really hard to cast reliably with his mana base. And frankly doesn't do enough in a practical application. It is simply inferior to Ooze. So why strain your mana to facilitate what was a good card? I know it's weird for me to say that but as soon as I started using Ooze, VoR wasn't needed.

Exactly.
I generally reach for my second black before I go for my first white. Though I might try VOR out as a budget goyf replacement (since I don't own any on MTGO)
Turn 2 Liliana has proven to be probably the most effective play this deck can make, and in close second is the turn 2 Souls, turn 3 Garruk play - so for now, the Bops are staying. It's also an extra body that can potentially let me keep a Confidant/Ooze through a DC.
And how can you hate on Pte? Even Jund decks are including it in small numbers alongside Ajani with their white splashes. Since I'm already on-color, I figured the 1st Pte was more important than the 3rd Dismember (what that slot was originally)
Okay, when you are ready to post this to Creation, just write up your thread and post it to that subforum. I'll archive this one. Let me know if there is anything you want in this thread that needs to be moved to the other one. I am also comfortable stickying this thread in Creation as long as the OP is well-written; you had a long run in Established so it is far that you can be stickied in Creation.

In my experience this is not the deck that you want to give your opponent lands...

Building a deck around DC isn't going to work anymore. We need to be focusing on playing The Rock (or junk) and using DC as an oops-I-win finisher. Ignoring the best removal Spell in the format because it is slightly anti synergistic with 3x slots in my deck seems silly. You don't always need to deplete all their mana sources to win off a DC. Sometimes just clearing their Creatures and emptying their hand is enough to pull through, especially if you have a walker in play.

I argue the "Best" part of your statement. Lightning Bolt is probably the best removal spell ever printed as well as the best Red spell. But if it works for you then go for it.

I'll try to get it finished by the end of this week. Might have to ask some of you active posters to give me your best list. I have mine, but I want multiple lists for people to try. It might sound silly but the bump to Creation is making me excited to work on the deck again. As an avid brewer, I love the idea of being rogue.

Just a quick question (posting here so I don't clutter up the new thread):
Will the new thread be just Death Cloud/BG Rock builds or all Death cloud builds from the recently posted "Storm Cloud" build, the old 'Pox' style DC builds, and anything else built around Death Cloud?

As per the request of a few players, this old Death Cloud thread is getting shut down. A new thread has been created in Deck Creation as a place to start anew. It's stickied in that subforum.
