It's more explosive, has an extremely epic and likely "oops i win" scenario, it's faster and more unexpected. Also just went 4-0 in daily.
More explosive? I mean when Emrakul drops it's pretty great but if you don't win after it drops Emrakul isn't the hardest thing to get rid of in the game.
I just feel it lacks the greatness of overrunning, I mean only having 1 Ezuri seems very hard to get out...I mean you have 6 tutor spells but it still seems like it'd be hard to get out. That is a great win-con, but I guess it doesn't always go off that way?
Is there a turn by turn basis for this deck?
Like, for instance, what's the best nut draw for this deck? How will it go down after that. I know you can draw out your deck once you have the combo, is that all you need to do?
Simply put, this draw lets you win on turn three provided you draw one more land. You turn one the Llanowar, turn 2 the perfect, turn three drop first the intruder alarm, then the Heratage druid. Proceed to make infinite elf tokens, then drop the memorial and smash face for more then your opponent can count without a calculator.
This lets you win on turn 4 by drawing your entire deck. Turn one llanowar, turn two nettle and heratige. Turn three visionary and curio, draw another one drop creature and then draw your entire deck.

U can also win in turn 3 that way, turn one llanowar, turn two nettle, heritage and tap to get curio out, turn 3 visionary and by that time u already draw 3 cards (2 for turns 1 for visionary)...
Im loving this deck, still looking for more "tech" cards to add to the side...
I got pounded to day in a Daily :(:banghead::banghead:
Match 1 vs Zoo
t1 Llanowar Elf
His t1 bolt
t2 Elvish Visionary
His 2 bolt, Nacatl
t3 all i had was Intruder Alarm
His t3 Tarmogoyf
went down hill fast after that
Match 2 vs RDW
Never got a creature to stick either game all I remember was lots of Searing Blaze and took about 3 1/2 min for both games
There's SO SO much removal out there nothing ever sticks so what can u do?
On magic online how the hell do you play decks like this quickly, in a daily I combo'd out game one but my primal commands were all in the bottom 15 cards, it took me almost 18 minutes to completely combo out (which my opponent obviously made me do). I ended up timing out in game 3
Just went 4-0 in MTGO Daily
The decklist should be out tomorrow around 12pm est
Matchups:
Round 1: GR Shamans (2-0)
- I combo off both games, both times after having my Heritage druid Bolted, I havn't played this deck in a while since last true Ext season and its still fun to play and very consistant. I thought about going the aggro plan g2, but because I also play GR shamans I know that it would be too difficult with them searching up their elemental and getting damage through my blockers easily.
Round 2: UG 12 Post (2-1)
- I combo off with REALLY REALLY tight mana and the game takes 20 minutes off my clock, the turn before I went off my Opp played a Kozilek and tapped out. I was making 1 mana every 2 critters I played having only 1 nettle in play and drawing 1 card every 2 crits I played. Finally drew some searchers and got 3 nettles out and drew into an Emrakul leaving myself 5 minutes on the clock.
- I knew I couldn't risk comboing off again, so I went the aggro plan which in my SB comes with 2 Acidic Slime + having Primal Command to put their cloudpost on their topdeck.
- Game2 I got some critters out and my Opp got a turn4 All is Dust clearing the board, the following turn I got some more critters in play, but my Opp followed his/her next turn with Primeval Titan so I packed it up since I wouldn't be able to get through it and my Opp had a 6 card hand with me at 1 card. I wanted to try to play it through and hope to get lucky draws and my Opp to get screwed but the chances were very small with Titan in play and my clock was getting lower so I went to G3.
- Game3 I got some good beaters down & got an Acidic Slime in t3 into a t4 Primal COmmand to reset his/her cloudpost and got in without resistance with my critters.
Round3: Boros (2-0)
My Opp mulls to 3, I mull to 5. Opp conceded after I played 3 elves. My hand had an emrakul in it but I was far away from mana to cast it.
We both keep and my aggro plan w/ lifegain from the SB was too much for it.
Round4: Boros again (2-0)
Game1: Elves! attack, 2 lords and a bunch of elves get the damage in quick.
G2: Aggro + lifegain is just too much, I gained over 20 life this game.
2 Primal Commands, Baloth, Finksx2
2x Acidic Slime from the SB works really well.
I had 4 Grave hate cards because I got screwed over in my last daily while playing shamans and my first 2x matches were Living End, and I had no SB hate. No one was playing the deck in my queue but I think I would be fine against it with 4x Relic of Progen.
Because In testing I played w/ no Emrakul I found myself wasting time trying to recur Primal COmmands onto their lands and gettting enough elves in to swing the following turn. I added Emrakul like 5 min before the event fired and it was just what my clock needed.
Played against my friend piloting Naya Zoo today. Went very well over-all, and mark of asylum proved it's mettle in the board plan. I generally find that my GW build is too fast for him, and if i land a regal force it's over due to me drawing to many cards and running him over with elves.
I kept finding myself winning with ezuri, and when I've been looking around at builds, I don't see him very often. Often, nettle sentinels + a big draw from regal force can = game over with ezuri by producing 1-3 mana per elf (sentinel+druid). An archdruid just adds to the fun. In one game I attacked with 4 16/16 elves.
Currently I don't have much of a board assembled, but I'm thinking of something like this.
4 Relic of Progenitus - Living end is a very tough mu for elves, and my meta is riddled with it.
3-4 Krosan Grip - I find myself needing answers for engineered explosives and ethersworn cannonist
4 Mark of Asylum - No more Burn/Damage sweepers = unhappy RDW and Zoo players.
3-4 ?
tap 3 for mana, add 3 GGG play a 1 mana elf...you only have 2 things to tap for? or you play the visionary again? but then you're not making any mana either...and if you don't have a 1 drop how can you do it?
I don't understand =\ can someone walk me through the process of it? I appreciate it so much!
In play: Curio and Any 2 parts of the combo (heritage/visionary/nettle)
Play 3rd piece, curio trigger on the stack, tap all 3 using heritage druids ability.
Resolve trigger, bounce visionary, use 2 of the 3 to play visionary, untap nettle, draw card, bounce heritage. Use last floating, play heritage, curio trigger on stack, tap all 3, make 3 green, say you are repeating whole process until you draw what you need to win. Once you get a 2nd nettle you get netting 1-2 mana per cycle, 3 nettles = netting 2 mana per cycle and not having to tap the rest of your elves. You make a bunch of mana, use search spells if yuo want or just draw until you get everything you need, use primal command to bounce all their permanents and gain life or search, play emrakul and pass the turn, pay pact mana (if required) swing for the win.
1. Tap Nettel Sentinel and Heritage Druid for GGG
2. Cast Llanowar Elves, Nettle Sentinels Untap
3. GG Floating
4. Tap Nettle Sentinels and Llanowar Elves for GGG
5. Cast Cloudstone Curio
6. Cast Elvish Visionary to Draw a Card Nettle Sentinels Untap
7. Put Cloudstone Curio trigger on the stack targeting Elvish Visionary
8. Tap Elvish Visionary and Nettle Sentinels for GGG
9. Allow the Cloudstone Curio trigger to resolve
10. GGG floating
11. Repeat Steps 6-10 to gain G and Draw a Card each time
12. Cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
13. Profit
This is a pretty detailed description of the combo. You can also gain infinite life if Essence Warden is involved. Just make sure to use an elf other than Elvish Visionary after you've drawn as much as you need so that you don't mill yourself.
EDIT: You can start the combo with only one Nettle Sentinel, you just won't be able to go off on turn 2. You just draw without gaining mana until you find another one and then make infinite mana.
1. Tap Nettel Sentinel and Heritage Druid for GGG
2. Cast Llanowar Elves, Nettle Sentinels Untap
3. GG Floating
4. Tap Nettle Sentinels and Llanowar Elves for GGG
5. Cast Cloudstone Curio
6. Cast Elvish Visionary to Draw a Card Nettle Sentinels Untap
7. Put Cloudstone Curio trigger on the stack targeting Elvish Visionary
8. Tap Elvish Visionary and Nettle Sentinels for GGG
9. Allow the Cloudstone Curio trigger to resolve
10. GGG floating
11. Repeat Steps 6-10 to gain G and Draw a Card each time

essentially correct except you can't bounce the visionary you just played, has be another target creature.

Oops, my bad. So you only need one Nettle Sentinel + Heritage Druid + Elvish Visionary to draw your deck, then you can make infinite mana with Nettle Sentinel, Heritage Druid, and another 1 mana elf, right?
LOL, who would say the deck I built after reading this ARTICLE last year would see play, after adapting the glimpses?!?!
I recommend you guys to read it.
I don't think we're allowed to discuss Innistrad, but if so, here are my thoughts.
It seems more like a win-more to me. We've already got the Curio+Visionary thing to draw us cards. We're got a lot of card draw in this deck. I'm not sure we need more.
I think it's potentially good, however even going g/w it's casting cost is awkward because you probably won't be able to pay the W if you draw one of these instead of a search spell in those situations where your dealing with your key elves dying to removal. Definitely worth testing though in my mind.
