how does the deck hold up to pyroclasm and other forms of mass removal? do you just play more conservatively? I'm really tempted to sleeve this up and start playing it. Seems like a really fun deck

I've been running 4x boros charm because the deck really can't survive a sweep.

Be ready to remember a billion triggers. It is awesome though.
I'm thinking if running a bwr version. Sb sideboard some zealous per section and maybe inquisition of kosilek for decks that have mass removal. Once I have a deck list I'll post it.
I am in the process of foiling this deck out, that's how much I like it. I have decided to bs the Purpohoros because he just doesn't come into the picture for most games. In his slot will be Spellskite for removal protection. I'm also considering testing fling to help push through the damage from Ajani's Pridemate.
This deck has more than enough results to belong in the developing competitive subforum, at least as many as a deck like Skred Red or Mono G Stompy. Keep up the brewing!

Maybe Ride Down would be better than Fling, if chump blockers ruin your joy? You get to keep the Pridemate, result is the same. Also if it gets countered you still have the Pridemate, when sacrificing it to Fling is part of cost, not resolution.
edit - and yes, every format in which lingering souls is used is a format in which trample is overpowered.
I already run boros charm for double strike and indestructible, but the problem I am running into is abrupt decay, path to exile, etc. while a boros charm works against abrupt decay and chump blockers, it fails to do anything against path. If your AP has lethal and they top deck a path (or have been sitting on it), in response fling. Even if the do counter it, no big loss at that point, but if they don't you just hit them in the face for 11 or so. Only testing will tell if it's good or not.

MB. Never a dead card as it either saves my creatures or pushes through damage. Cards like zealous persecution though, I have no answer for.
