LSV currently on Bant Eldrazi, thought you guys might find it interesting.
Anyone have any ideas why he might have those Vesuvas in the sideboard? Two of them seem like a lot of lands for the sideboard, but I suppose it could be good against land destruction?

Not NEARLY enough G sources to run Ancient Stirrings. The RG builds run 14 sources, and that can feel like too few! If I were to try to get a Temur list going, my first cut would be down to 2, MAX 3, Cavern of Souls. I would also cut the Crossroads - they are more than fine if you are planning on casting creatures or Kozilek's Return, but not Stirrings...
Here is a more reasonable manabase if you want to run Temur with Stirrings:
That is still too few G sources for me to be comfortable with Stirrings, but it is a start. Honestly I don't think you can realistically run Stirrings outside a 2-color GX shell like RG. The mana for a 3-color build is just too rough. That variation has the advantage of T2 acceleration and a sweeper, as well, making the tempo loss of Stirrings less of an issue.
1 Breeding Pool, 1 Forest, 1 Stomping Ground, 2 Scalding Tarn
=> That makes up for 6 cards that will provide you with Green for the Stirrings.
Also i actually dislike a basic forest, just for stirrings
Depending on how you want to use it, that can be enough. Lets say you try Stirrings as a 2-off for the lategame....
But i'd actually like to tinker a manabase that allows me to reliably cast a Stirrings on lets say Turn2-3, because that turn you either have a Smasher, or you "need" one.
For that requirement, and for beeing able to play 3-4 Stirrings, i think more Green would be needed.
If just there was a City of brass that also generates colorless.... or is there...?
Currently im looking at UG and UW lists btw. I think U is a very relevant choice, i would not want to miss on Skyspawners and Drowners (even though i only play 2-3 currently)... but the second color is somewhat "open". Anyhow, thats nothing to discuss in the "UR ELDRAZI" Thread though, so i will just cut my line of thought there. But i will still say, that red's Obligator is a powerhouse, while Vile Aggregate is really slow and grindy. I dont really like Aggregate for that matter, but i would really miss Obligators..

The great Eldrazi Overlords will return to the Modern World.
I played FNM to a 3rd place finish; 38 players for 6 rounds.
Round 1 vs. Jund. Easy 2-0.
Round 2 vs. UW Eldrazi. I drew better 2-1.
Round 3 vs. Merfolk. Should have mulled further in game 1. 2-1.
Round 4 vs. RUG Delver. Not close. He said that he had a really good hand in game 1, but it just does nothing vs. Eldrazi. 2-0.
Round 5 vs. UR Eldrazi. We ID, 0-0-3.
Round 6 vs. Grixis Control w/ Tasigur and Gurmag Angler. We ID to secure top 4 for me and top 8 for him. 0-0-3.
4-0-2. I am most likely playing this tomorrow and maybe Sunday at 2 GPTs. Wish me luck!

Legacy - Sneak Show, BR Reanimator, Miracles, UW Stoneblade
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/ Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)
The 60 is card for card the Pro Tour list, but the side has some Endbringers.

Not much. I mean there were a few cards, but cards individually are not usually not enough. Also, if I am playing Eye right away against something that has hate, I'm either getting my value or I have another in hand.

Understandable, I'm just witnessing a lot of "less" success such as 2-2's because of the increase in hate (Which is completely understandable). Might simply be whether the tournament is that competitive or not.
Getting green into this listing is a lot harder than I thought. With colorless matters being a thing, it's like running 4/6 colors in the same deck and just seems like a big hard to wield mess. Maybe adding green is trying too hard?

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...

Well it depends on how much "Green" You are going for. I've tried pushing Ancient Stirrings, but it's not going to be possible unless we cut Red and personally Obligator is just too good. Honestly, I would find myself playing U/R with Green Splash for World Breaker like @sporenfrosch did in his list. World Breaker just seems to be the best answer we have against Bridge and I personally have more fun playing U/R then any other form of Eldrazi.

I'm not actually surprised after running through all the eldrazi that this is the case. The UR list combines good scion spawning creatures (as opposed to ones that just live for the task and are no better then scions themselves), with useful cantrip creatures like Eldrazi Obligator. Any other color needs to stretch outside of the Eldrazi card pool and look elsewhere to get support they need, so they lose the power from the eldrazi lands.

As from what I've seen, the only successful Eldrazi you'll have is 2 Color combination with U/X, R/X or Colorless. I'm currently watching the SCG Louisville turnout and it seems that U/W Eldrazi has its moments with Displacer synergy and additional removal/favored sideboard. In all honesty, what I've concluded is that ANY Eldrazi deck can win at ANY given moment; it just seems to be which on draws better.
The thing with eldrazi is they all have that same "broken" core. Then you get like a third of the 60 to experiment.
I personally think UW Eldrazi looses too much speed, allthough Displacer clearly is a powerhouse if the game gets grindy. Then again modern is so linear at this point, i think going maximum aggressive game1 is key.
Im personally gonna stick to URX Eldrazi for now, with a slight splash of another colored eldrazi (no other colored spells). If you fiddle too much with the manabase, you loose a lot of speed.
On a sidenote: Eldrazi is starting to pop up results in legacy more and more. Today at our monthly legacy tournament in our local store, one Colorless Eldrazi took 5-0 (and most players there play very competitive and mostly with complete decks. No budget stuff there, they play the optimum, and many even foil their decks out'n stuff). Seems eldrazi in General, or the core in general, is just broken
(The legacy guy played 4 TKS, 4 Mimic, 4 Endless, 4 Smasher, 4 Temple, 3 Eye and the rest is legacy related and i think not to be discussed here, but you get the idea that this core works anyway everywhere )

Exactly what you pointed. the UW gameplan is to pull the game into a grindy board stall which results to its powerhouse to kill the board off. I am with you on the URx splash, but if it seems that in Legacy Eldrazi can make a statement, I might swap over to that format once this banlist comes.

@sporenfrosch Have you found a land list that would fit in 2-3x Ancient Stirrings?
I found this might be efficient enough:
4x Cavern of Souls
2x Corrupted Crossroads
4x Eldrazi Temple
4x Eye of Ugin
1x Forest
1x Island
2x Scalding Tarn
3x Shivan Reef
1x Steam Vents
1x Stomping Ground
King Macar, the Gold-Cursed
Wouldn't Misty Rainforest strictly be better than Scalding here?

"Dies to Removal" is not a valid argument, nor has it ever been. There is a UW build running around with 4 of them, and it is very good.
