You can see it has a very solid/straight-forward Junk plan. The only thing missing is the disruption. But to handle that Dmitry took a different approach:
I'm personally surprised to see anyone pilot a deck like this so far in such a major event. But does it mean that, when played carefully and correctly, Gifts could have a home here in Junk?
This looks like that 4 color control deck that absolutely poops on non-basic lands, and destroys your opponents hand. I remember seeing this somewhere before Worlds, and loved the synergy the deck had.
Going by the 16 creatures (Excluding Lingering Souls) 20 spells plan, what's the most creatures I want to put in play at any one time? I can be really bad about overextending, so once I have my ideal version of this deck, I want to know when to stop.
4 Knight of the Reliquary, 4 Tarmogoyf, 4 Deathrite Shaman, 4 dark confidant is my ideal creature base.

We should already be hosing UWR with the bare bones build of Junk. Not commenting on the truth of your own statement, but if it was true, and that's what it is primarily good for, it would be largely redundant.
I think it's worth mentioning that no "bare bones" Junk decks made it at Worlds, but this Gifts hybrid did. That's got to mean something, even if only that the Gifts version is at least better at the UWR match (of which there was probably a ton) than Junk.

Im not sure how true this is. There were 3 people (Efro, Ochoa, and Wrapter) all on that GB rock deck. That in itself is the bare bones of Junk and Jund. Also you have to keep in mind there were only 16 people in Worlds, and there were two ways to go when deciding on what decks to play. The safe way, and the risky. Dmitry chose the risky when he brought his Junk Gifts, as did Reid, and the 3 listed above. Most of the rest played it safe with decks they knew were very good and have seen lots of past and recent success like the players that played UWR.
Also saying that deck made it to worlds doesn't really mean anything. The deck itself did not win its slot in worlds. the Pilot did, so you cant give that kind of credit to the deck.
This reminds me a ton of my list. I don't run Sorin or Elspeth, but I think Elspeth could be good in said deck. You should also run Stirring Wildwood over Treetop Village in my opinion since you're playing white.
I think sword of light and shadow is one of the better modern swords because of its colors, but I feel that it belongs more in those hatebear junk builds. In this build I would rather run sword of fire and ice.
My friend says I should be ready for a Meta with Merfolk, Grixis Twin, UR Delver Jund, UWR, and I probably need to prepare for Pod and one or two other decks. What would be a good sideboard for this? I suck at making sideboards.

Do you think Polukranos, World-Eater could be playable in Junk/Doran?
So Polukranos, World Eater is four mana 5/5 that can be played turn 3 with a mana dork and the next turn will likely be a 7/7-8/8 and will kill 1-2 creatures. Not bad imo.

(the spoiled card was confirmed)
I would say probably not.
The four drops (if any) these decks play are just overall stronger like Elspeth, and Thrun. He also is pretty mana intensive which isnt super good in modern. Just me though.

I wouldn't be interested either. By the time I need a board wipe, I'm too in trouble for mr. world-eater to help me. I'd rather cast wrath of God or Damnation, or even day of Judgement.

IMO, even the worst version of this card (xxG, "divided as you choose", can't kill anything if it dies in response to Monstrous) is the green Olivia Voldaren, so I do expect Polukranos to see play in Junk (and Twin Pod, and GW Hatebears, and BG Midrange, and maaaaaybe Jund--I don't think the worst version will see play in Melira Pod because it compares unfavourably with Murderous Redcap there, but any better versions will).
...Well, it can't repeatedly remove like Olivia Voldaren, but unlike Murderous Redcap (admit it--it'll most likely pay 4G to eat a X/2 or X/1), it's not half-dead against combo!
One is better than none, right?
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Knight of the Reliquary
3 Liliana of the Veil
3 Lingering Souls
3 Path to Exile
3 Abrupt Decay
3 Deathrite Shaman
You can see it has a very solid/straight-forward Junk plan. The only thing missing is the disruption. But to handle that Dmitry took a different approach:
1 Raven's Crime
1 Life from the Loam
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
1 Ghost Quarter
1 Sun Titan
1 Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite
1 Unburial Rites
I'm personally surprised to see anyone pilot a deck like this so far in such a major event. But does it mean that, when played carefully and correctly, Gifts could have a home here in Junk?
For reference, here is his deck
Draft My Cube!
Decks I play and stuff.
Legacy Burn
Modern Mono U Tron
DCI Level 1 Judge
BGW Karador's Ghostly ToolboxBGW
4 Knight of the Reliquary, 4 Tarmogoyf, 4 Deathrite Shaman, 4 dark confidant is my ideal creature base.
