Yep. a true blue zoo. I put it in the primer, as its the latest "real" blue zoo.
BBE -> Geist seems like something i wouldn't mind doing once or twice ;), but then again, doing that when you already have a Geist on board would make me never want to play the deck again.

Very true. BB can be a bit of a troublesome character. Build your deck for it, shes a bomb. Have too many removal spells/legendaries ect. She can whif pretty hard.
Rancor were legal. sure. It would be relevant to keeping lynx not crappin, and giving knight and tarmo trample. It would depend on your meta though. its not something worth having in the side, and it would be better in a aggro filled meta than a control one.
But its not legal. Why do yoju bring it up? are you looking at a substitute?

There is heavy speculation in the rumor mill that it is legal. From what I've seen, there is a good chance that it will be reprinted in m13, which would make it a very viable option for zoo.

edit: Correction, it was just confirmed.
So I saw. Well its very exiting then, because it is infact very very good. I think I'd use it as a 2 of, I can't see using it more than that, strictly because thalia doesn't like it, and I wouldnt want to replace burn or path with it. But trampling knight or a 4/1 first strike is pretty releivent. I'll be testing it.
It's relevant on a helluva lot more than that, in my opinion. +2/0 and trample on anything save maybe a grim lavamancer, is pretty rough, especially when it just doesn't die. It might be what was needed to take zoo there with the nacatl gone.

Sure, but testing really is what going to prove that. Bant, or blue zoo can use it as well.
How about the new Ajani? I think he will boost Zoo up a bit, like t1 small creature with 1mc, turn 2 2 more, turn 3 drop this Ajani and hit for tons of dmg.
eh...I don't know. He's not as good as elspeth, honestly, even if he is easier to cast. The lack of making tokens or buffing several guys makes him worse. On the other hand, he does have some mad synergy with kitchen finks if you run that.
No hes got a point. It could. If people don't remember, big zoos have been doing well lately, and boombust is right behind thalia small zoo builds. Rancor and ajani adds quite a bit of buff to us.
Bant got the same, Zoo needs a new red option really to differ its self.
new red option? I'd say it's already presented itself in vexing devil. In a burn heavy list, it's pretty rough, and red versions already have grimmy. That said, it requires heavy testing before it could be considered great. It's seen some use in legacy burn lists, and that's a fairly close analog to what zoo does.
I think Vexing Devil is playable in some Mono Red lists, but I don't really see it in Zoo. Decks that play a LOT of burn, and a selection of hardhitting creatures can abuse Devil better than creature-heavy decks that splash a smaller burn suite. Even in RDW I'm not sure Devil is that great, but in Zoo it's almost always going to be the wrong half of the card.
Ajani 3.0 and Bloodbraid actually seems like really good synergy, and I could see another Big Naya Zoo list already starting to build around that interacting. Fast Zoo is still good, but I'm happier with Boros in that particular role right now (my goal is to be the best Thalia deck in the room). Naya Zoo will probably beat a lot of the other creature/midrange decks if built right, but lose a bit more to Combo than Jund does. In the right meta, it seems like it could be a strong contender.

Vex is very fast. But Zoo from what I've learned testing him, doesn't like him unless theres a ton of control. Zoo wants creatures that come down early and can fight midrange if needed, Vex is just fast.
I think bigger zoo has a real shot with new ajani, but little zoo loves rancor coming out.
Vex is fast, yeah, but the problem is he's too fast. He's like a flash in the pan, either they get Lava Spiked, or he dies immediately. Again, I haven't tested him extensively, but the best way to get value out of that card is to actually have ALL of the BURN spells to back him up. 12-15 creatures is just enough to stress their removal, and adding 20+ burn spells makes Devil a real card, which is why I think he's best in well-built Burn lists. Zoo wants to swing, and rarely will you get that option with the Devil in this deck. Maybe a fast Zoo deck with like, all the one drops, but even then the whole point to Zoo is that it interacts with other fair decks. If you're running Devil, you don't really want to interact with them much.
Anyway, I forgot that we didn't have access to Rancor prior to M13, so that's kinda cool. Both that and Ajani seem decent with Bloodbraid Elf, as either a 4/3 or 5/3 trample haste Elf is pretty damn good for 4 mana. Small Zoo might want Rancor, but I actually think it's better in big Zoo. Even still, I'd not run more than 2, as the blowout potential is still pretty high against spot removal.
But yea, the more I think about it, the more I think Bloodbraid Zoo with Ajani and maybe Boom/Bust could be really good. Super basic starting point off the top of my head:
4 Hierarch
1 Llanowar Elf (ish?)
4 Kird Ape
4 Goyf
4 Knight of the Reliquary
4 Bloodbraid Elf
2 Ajani, Caller of the Pride
3 Boom//Bust
4 Bolt
4 Path
4 Helix
22 Lands
I'm actually not too sure about Boom/Bust, but it's a good strategy when it's good. It's possible this list just needs more things like Ajani, Mirran Crusaders, or 1-2 drops too. I'm just spewing quick ideas out.

So I've been having some INSANE success with my new zoo list. I dont want to spoil it yet for my july tournament coming up, so I wont post the list. But its with whats legal right now, and I've been downright crushing with it. Its basicly the main list, but minus 2 M13 cards. Every matchup I've had, either the 2 cards I currently have slotted in, were too expesive, or didnt have the right mana colors I needed. If it were the m13 cards, the games would have been over way sooner.
currently the deck is undefeated against:
1. that dumb modern show and tell deck (griz glass cannon)- having ramp into knight to grave hate is good.
2. U/r and American delver- I out pace them, and it has a ton of knight tricks.
3. affinty- again, I out weigh their creatures, and I have more artifact kill then I care to admit.
4. Jund- its a tough matchup but again knight and thalia carry weight.
5. Unstorm- left alone, thid deck generates enough tempo to kill them
I only lost one game so far and thats to fae. And I would have won, had the card I couldnt cast in my hand, been the m13 card...
I beleive there is going to be comminary and video coverage of Lantern IQs next month, so some reports are in order.

Only issue with this is that the Rancor would resolve before BBE is even on the battlefield.

In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.
