I am quite interested in learning to play/piloting a cawblade list what would be a good list start with and something general tips. I can't seem to find many resources anywhere.

pedee pablo's list in his sig is a very strong archtype, I do not like restoration angel in a control deck. Sure its a very useful card but imo its to damn costly for a control deck trying to play midrange.

Dictators prefer an unarmed population.
Decks I play and stuff.
The third list down is an American Gifts control list. It has a slight splash of black to hardcast UB, but other than that it is strictly WUR. This is already odd, as unburial gifts almost always plays Lillies (I guess if you draw Iona you just hope to draw your 1of Izzet Charm? Or spend a Gifts putting it in the yard for Snappie) but even weirder is the fact that there isn't a single copy of Cryptic Command. Other than the tough colors (this is Modern, people! You can get away with anything), I can't imagine why you woukdnt want four in the deck.
Now, I'm not complaining. I'll probably build this deck, it's incredibly cheap and looks very fun. But wouldnt it be a lot better with CC?
This is a post BBE ban build that I have been toying with that I had some success with before bannings(it had a few different cards than it does now).
I won matches that I did not feel like I had business winning while playing it(the old build) as though it was a draw-go style control deck. It was always very, very obvious to me when I need to go aggro, but the primary reasons for running the creatures that I do should be pretty obvious:
This build hasn't been tested much yet, but I tested the old variation plenty and the deck is pretty exploitative of its cards. There are specific reasons for the number of basics too. Hawks become fodder for cliques, paths, haunts, blocks, edicts, thin, turn sideways and are also very underwhelming cards to people who do not use them properly. The walls could ostensibly get turned into more remands and another clique to allow the deck to roll most tron variations too. In the end, this is a control deck though.
Has anyone played anything similar lately to any success in paper tournaments?
I went 5-0-2 in swiss beating 2 affinity, 1 infect, 1 Bogle, 1 Jund
In top 8, I beat Jund in Quarters, UWR Mirror in Semis, and Lost to Jund in Finals.
Hi, I own an Aggro (Robots) and Aggro-Tempo Deck (Merfolk) and now I want a Control Deck. I've looked around and UW seems to meet that intent best, but what types of UW Control decks are there?
I used to pilot a Mono U Mill Draw Go Deck. I really enjoyed that deck. But, I know mill is the least competitive type of control deck due to its win condition.
I looked into Fae, but found out it was a more long ranged tempo deck. I do not wish to repeat an aggro tempo deck since I have one.
Waaay back in the day I played a World Championship Decree Deck based. It sort of operated like a Control + Big Splashy Deck.
Any artifact control decks?
I really enjoy artifacts (next deck after this one will be Eggs)
the list that I am wanting to test. vendillion clique works well with lantern. basic plan is to control until codex/lantern is dropped then just control the draws until either A. they are milled or B. vendillion/PW beats
