I am loving R/G Tron, issue I have is with Sowing Salts. I mean the card just Ruins us. Has anyone actually found a workable solution? I am playing with the idea of splashing Aven Mindcensor, but am unsure if there are more viable solutions.
I love the idea of the card, but I wonder if Ricochet Trap would be a better fit because it only requires a single R. Granted its CMC is one more and for our purposes it will not often be cast for the Trap cost, but would it be easier to fulfill the color requirements?
Against Fulminator Mage and Tectonic Edge you could try Reroute. There are a lot of Tron Decks where i am playing and the meta is accordingly well set up against it. I run a 2/2 split
and never been disappointed about it.
I'm definitely going to try this out because getting a lot of flack with land hate in my playgroup since we just started playing Modern.
Personally, if you're dedicated to trying 4 or 0, then I'd try zero and see how well it works. I play 3 because they're not dead often enough to justify some use, but often I'm just playing a green cantrip.

You'd use Terastadon to kill lands because otherwise for the same 8 without GG you can cast and detonate Oblivion Stone. So that narrows it down to Valakut and opposing Tron decks because they care the most about their lands. In reality, we'd likely just Stone Rain a problem land and hope they don't re-stabilize.
I'm not quite sure if you understood what I was asking. Shunt and Ricochet Trap have the exact same effect we need to throw Sowing Salt somewhere else. My question is which one to use because Shunt costs 1RR and Ricochet Trap costs 3R. One costs less and the other has a less restrictive color requirement.

Is it me or did you cut the best card of your deck, ancient stirrings?
Second of all, not playing 4 karn is very wrong...
Furthermore, steel hellkite turns on their creature removal, which every opponent will have... the card doesnt pay off.. too weak.
You say you know this deck since the beginning? Then I'm afraid I have bad news. Not noticing oblivion stone is way better then all is dust, that makes me doubt the relevance of your testing. Oblivion stone can destroy everything at eot, instant speed when in play. Aka, its your out to combo decks such as pod and twin.
Detritivore we came across but didnt test it yet. Possibly good vs scapeshift, but too slow kn the Mirror... which makes stone rain more relevant... no?
ok forgot to list stirrings.
I noticed oblivion stone i just think its too slow. it also kills our prophetic prisms and karns... not to mention our creatures. the good thing about all is dust, you can t3 it under the right conditions. which happen pretty often.

Oblivion Stone dodges Gaddock Teeg and hits Kiki-Jiki + Restoration Angel at instant speed. Teeg isn't so popular anymore, but Twin Pod is, and I've lost plenty of games to EOT Resto into next-turn Kiki-Jiki (those were the games I didn't have an O. Stone out deterring them).
Oblivion Stone also actually does something against Affinity if it has a bad start (blows up Platings, Etched Champions, etc.). All Is Dust doesn't.
Well, O. Stone > All Is Dust is answered above, but my current anti-combo tech is 2 Prophetic Prisms maindeck (pulling Ground Seal--nerfing graveyards is nice, but we've got bigger fish to kill right now) to support 3 Slaughter Games in the board. It's about as fast as Slaver from my experience, and it kills more reliably (try activating Slaver when they don't have Scapeshift in hand and see how many cards you can waste--I've generally found Scapeshift to be resilient to discard, so wasting those cards may not be as helpful as you think). Being uncounterable is killer good against combo (once your opponent catches on, see how often and when Slaver actually resolves). My only gripe is that Ancient Stirrings doesn't get it.
From my testing post-board with my Slaughter Games plan against UGr Scapeshift Combo's board-in-all-the-win-cons-and-harder-counterspells plan (they still may need to keep Bolts to kill Karn Liberated after he -3's), RG Artifact Tron won every time it cast (and therefore resolved) Slaughter Games. That's encouraging.
(This grew from my initial testing of Rakdos's Return against combo. I stopped testing that card after Hive Mind consistently Pact of Negationed it and paid for the Pact pre-combo and UR Storm won through a Rakdos's Return with Pyromancer Ascension out.)
Oblivion Stone also actually does something against Affinity if it has a bad start; All Is Dust doesn't.

The Main deck is actually pretty close to what I wanted it to be for the event. The side... well... other than the Sundering Titan, Relic, and Oblivion Stones, I bought all those cards to fill out the space just in case about 20 minutes before the event began. The Krosan Grips instead of Nature's Claim was because I already own Nature's claim but forgot it, so now seemed like the time fill out that little nitche in my collection. The Mindslavers just came to mind, the Prophetic Prism I brought, but was desperate for a 15th card, and almost sadly, the Hornet Stings turned to be the best buy I made for the side deck because they killed a lot of weenies and worked towards winning two games... *sigh* I look forward to Christmas when I can get myself a playset of Grove of the Burnwillows for Pyroclasm.
I'll edit in a tournament report in a couple of days.

I'm playing nearly the exacts same list, although swapping Kozilek/Ulamog, 1 Sphere and 1 Karn for 4 Primeval Titans, and the All is Dust for a Guilded Lotus. Also swapped some forest for a Khalni Garden and a Kessig Wolf Run, to protect from sacrifice effects, and pump (generally Wurmcoil, but sometimes the Plant token haha). So far, I've managed T3 Karn, T4 Titan, T5 Emrakul... the strain on colored sources means it's higher risk, but higher reward. Completely different sideboard of course, but includes Sundering Titan; no-one ever expects him:p
Relic needs to stay in the main against Storm, Melira, and Snapcaster decks. Pyroclasm is just more useful than the other 1 mana from talisman (we ramp quickly enough anyways). Grove is generally preferred because it does not take away from your life. The opponents life does not matter because we normally just win with huge eldrazi swings. That being said, you can use Stomping Ground if you dont have Groves, but Groves are just better against the aggro match up.
Faith's Shield is really the nuts against UR Storm. Giving yourself protection from red and Grapeshot when you're at 5 life or less is pretty darn good compared to what Mindbreak Trap may or may not do (it's trash if they're comboing off with Pyromancer Ascension, as they can cast 2+ Grapeshots per turn with it out). I guess protection against Sowing Salt is a bit nice, too.
RG Artifact Tron still has a tendency to lose to other combo decks like Exarch Twin, Scapeshift, and even Hive Mind, so more well-rounded sideboard hate is needed. Faith's Shield does nothing against those three decks. My personal sideboard hate for them is Slaughter Games--I need to test its speed against UR Storm, especially since I predict they'll be jokers and board in Empty the Warrens, but it's been killer against Scapeshift and okay against Exarch Twin.
That's very interesting, thank you for posting that. Apart from the SB where mine is completely different, that's card for card what I'm currently playtesting. I have considered replacing 1 Sylvan Scrying for 1 more threat but I couldnt' find something I liked enough to add in. Have any of you guys tried Ulamog in that slot and have some success with it?

Terastodon is SB against which deck?
Stuff like Jund and Twin Pod plays Sowing Salt post-board, so Ricochet Trap is no substitute.

.. I totally agree. Hitting Scapeshift or Polymorphish cards with Slaughter Games is just the nuts. Even hitting something like Gifts Ungiven or Bloodbraid Elf can limit an opponent's options and/or shenanigans.
*It's only mono-green because I'm out of budget right now for a playset of Grove of the Burnwillows.
You'll probably laugh at the list, but here's what I played.

Also, any thoughts on stomping ground compared to grove of the burnwillows?

Looks like he had some bad luck in the semi's and lost to Jund (which he was tearing apart all day).
Only real noticeable difference is the spellskite in the main.
