What are this decks good and bad match ups? (r/g tron, jund, pod, twin, uwr geist, affinity). Also how does this deck compare to UW tron?
How does Oboro dodge land destruction? Who is going to target their tec edge/ghost quarter on oboro when you have open mana? How does this stop tec edge if you already have 4 lands in play and you pass priority?
I'm gonna watch your video archives, fizzeler, to get a better idea how this deck plays.

It dodges the occasional Boom // Bust. You can also withdraw it to your hand, if you fear it would enable a Tectonic Edge on your opponents next turn, in order to save tron.
Also, it may produce double blue in a pinch.
These are all good reasons to play it, however it does get hit by bloodmoon, I'm not sure if it is worth it.
Probably mostly good.
Could you return Oboro to your hand in response to the Tectonic Edge if you only have 4 lands, would that counter the ability, since you no longer have 4 lands?

From my understanding you can't counter/fizzle tectonic edge once they sacrifice it. Once they sacrifice it, that's part of the cost, so the ability will happen.
Tectonic Edge's second ability checks how many lands an opponent controls only at the time you activate the ability.
I love the list, and I'm going to watch the stream tonight when I get home from work.
I think I'm going to try this at my LGS's paper Modern tourney later this month. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
I'm happy to see a deck that is relatively budget, at least by Modern standards, that can compete with the top dogs, and in Blue, the traditionally anti-budget color. I can't wait to play this.

I have been playing the deck more, and Eggs is easily one of your best match-ups, Remand stops almost everything in their deck and Trickbind is hilarious vs them

Testing Modern on MTGO and helping to craft decks on a Budget I stream!
Alright boys..... Let me explain a few things about this deck.
I am the infamous "shoktroopa" on modo. I came out of retirement a little back and found myself playing a lot of modern.
This little guy is my baby. The list is ROCK SOLID. I can honestly say that I handcrafted this masterpiece single handedly. I've played 2 PE's online and went a combined (12-0) in the swiss. Took 1st, and 5th. (lost to Jund, putrid leech). The starting 60 are almost perfect. The sideboard we have tons of options because this deck is very flexible and resilient to almost everything.
Why the u/w talismans!! why no white spells.. Dismember is black.. The only reason i played u/w was and is to decieve your opponents that your playing u/w tron. It's merely an optical illusion. You can run any color as long its blue.
Oboro?! It's in the list simply because you can do a few a tricks with it. Say your stuck on one blue source and its your turn and you thirst for knowlege.. have tron but no more blue. Bounce it and play an untapped oboro. Rarely does this happen but it does and has and will.
The pithing needles are pretty much irrelevelant with inclusion of squelch / trickbind on the board.
Please don't run annex... i mean honestly? just play spreading seas if u want that.
I didn't expect this deck to take off like it has but I hope everyone is having fun bashing nearly every single deck that is across from you like i am. The deck is definitely pretty good

Hello! It's great to see the mind behind the deck on the forums. If it wouldn't be too much hassle, would you mind describing how you came up with the deck, as well as its matchups? I have RG Tron now, but I'm excited to pick up the cards for this list.

Awesome to see you here man! I did a bit of research on the internet before posting the deck and found your user here, but saw you almost never posted, so went ahead and started the thread. I'm obviously no authority about it and have a lot of things to learn.
About Annex, it was just something I remembered from old Tron decks back when I played T2. I don't think the current metagame supports it though, which is sad. =/
Funny thing is, I was about to post here warning people to resist the temptation to "tweak" the list too much, 'cause this is one of the tightest decks I ever played. It's really well designed, congratulations!
If you excuse me, I'd like to ask some simple questions:
What's you favorite path to win? Do you usually pursue the Mindslaver lock or other specific wincon? I mean, assuming you're almost undisrupted, what's usually your plan to win?
Do you have any other directions or changes you want to test? Or is the deck at its finnest?
Thanks very much for coming and helping us! It's really hard to get the information directly from the source.

I have a few questions for you, why did you choose to play platinum angel, what matchups have it been relevant? Also, why two mindslavers? wouldn't it be better to throw in another answer in replace of the 2nd? And what is your reasoning for running a singleton oblivion stone without searchers? Last but not least, why aren't your running any tolaria wests?

I wonder the same particularly in changes, I can see Crucible GQ lock in the deck
Also, I'll be streaming this deck for about an hour, daily ended and went 2-1-1 (split the last round)

While Squelch can't counter triggered abilities, it replaces itself. Trickbind is usually used to counter Fetchlands right?
If that was the case I would run Trickbind in the main, Stifle effects are very hard to deal and punish the opponent for being greedy with their manabase
Trickbind has some extra utility is countering Snapcaster Triggers, and Exarch Triggers, Resto Triggers, Suspend Triggers
