Pendelhaven is still really good, esp because it comes down and makes G right away. I know it might seem sinful, but I'm considering cutting rancor down to 2 main 2 side. Still testing of course. Do you think discard is helpful against delver/restoration?
This deck is consistant which I like. Delver has the potential to not be consistant (delver doesn't flip) but I'm testing now (results to be posted soon) and I think the RUG version is one of my worst matchups. Thalia Boros doesn't look friendly either, but that isn't a major deck right now. Thalia Zoo on the other hand might be faster than us. Rancor < Thalia

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
Rancor's effect also lasts multiple turns (just like all my Exalted boosts), which is nice. It looks sort of bad on an Inkmoth Nexus because it falls off it every turn, though.
...Thalia's a punk, but I've generally found Spellskite to be even worse, since it draws away Vines of Vastwood and Dismember if I'm playing against Pod decks (especially Twin Pod). Both love blocking Glistener Elf and can't do a thing about the other guys, anyway.
I just cannot see this land count as being in any way reliable. I run 23 and Hierarch, and yet I still do not always have the mana for a turn 3 kill, sometimes even turn 4. Rancor helps, being a permanent, but I still cannot get behind that land count.
I got a dirty T2 kill in my testing the other night.
Land ->Elf
OP -> Tapland Go
Land -> Attack, Double Groundswell, Mutagenic.
I wouldn't be so quick to cut those Mutagenic Growths.
Spellskite... I had forgotten about that thing. It is an artifact though. Might be something to that.

And I have some questions: Is my Setup with the Pumpspells good as it's now, or should I go down with Mutagenic Growth?
Should I go up to 20 lands?
I would NEVER feel comfortable with that little land (I run 22 and still end up having to mulligan too often), but if you are going to dance with that devil then I would most assuridly not decrease mutagenic. You are still running a little more pump than I am, and I pull off turn 3 and 4 wins pretty often.
What should I board against something like KikiPod? Or the Decks using Gifts Ungiven ito Elesh Norn and Unburial Rites?
Affinity is one of the MUs I hate - what are your experiences with this?
It is pretty rough, but I run Plague Stinger too so at least I have an extra flier. I have found that getting agent and/or Stinger in play and using Apostle's blessing to stop blockers, I can get 10 counters before they do 20 damage about 50% of the time. That is while running 10x pump + 4x Rancor. I have counter magic (Dispel) in my SB rather than MD, but that is a meta decision.
Since I have my test results from Affinity in front of me... I find the red versions running more burn to be more problematic than the others.
Apostle's Blessing is a house in this match-up. Ichorclaw Myr is good, esp with Rancor at keeping a Etched Champion on their side of the table.
The decks that really give me a hard time are anything with Thalia in it. (Zoo/Boros). I started messing around with Boros after the beating Thalia gave me.

Thalia, besides Warren Instigator, is the main reason why I run 3 Necropede Main, and why I wouldn't go below 2. I'm even tempted to pack Gut Shot into my Sideboard to combat her.
[qoute]For the BUG Color combination - I'm a bit scared about the Manabase. And I'm too ecxited about Exalted to give up Hierarch and, if it proves worthy, Cathedral.
Hierarch is far to goodto cut, but I do fine with him. The manabase is pretty reliable, actually, with just lands to fix mana.
Don't get me wrong, I really like your list, but it's just not the take on Infect that I like the most. I'll try out something like this, nonetheless Maybe it'll become my style of Infect ^^
Hey, no worries. You have to play to your style and your meta, so decks are like snowflakes. I would expect nothing else- it's not like this is a high profile deck that has been largely "solved".

Isn't that the truth. I actually have a UWg version I've been waiting to test.

I started using Necropede in my paper deck, because for some reason I cannot find any copies of Ichorclaw to save my life at any of the local shops (which is kinda bizarre), and I have to say that choosing one over the other is not very clear cut. My paper deck faces casual decks most of the time so they are not generally as tuned and they have more of a legacy card pool, but it does pretty well. Not sure how that translates to the competitive modern scene, but I should do some MTGO testing one of these days.
Virulent Sliver is very bad. Pump it and your opponent still gets one poison counter a turn at best. I'd rather play Necropede, and I never find the space for that guy.
Plus, I don't think we run enough green cards to make Martyr of Spores awesome. All those Blighted Agents and random protection spells add up. For a more consistent boost, I'd rather run Llanowar Augur, and even then, his time is gone with Rancor's release.
turn 1 Virulent Sliver (and yes i think he is good)...
Why? It is markedly worse than any infect card we run.
Also why not playing Pact of Negation - you dont want to spend mana on your kill turn but you want to protect your creature - i know it will never help outside of the kill but then doesnt we want to kill turn 2/3?
a turn 2-3 win is possible and ideal, but it is not what I shoot for in this meta. I am looking at turn 4-5 so I would rather a counter that is good on any turn.
The deck is really not as glass cannon as you think. I'm sure you could build it that way, but what if you have pact and no kill? I'd rather have redundancy.

Been playing infect since it was released and I love it. Here's my BUG Infect.
Regarding SB, you need graveyard hate, something against pod, twin (Vines of Vastwood kinda kills it on its own), combo deck and affinity. You also need something to deal with Spellskite. Almost every deck you'll face will have Spellskite MB or SB. Artifact hate can take care of this.
My usual way of dodging Spellskite/Thalia is multiple Exalted boosts from Noble Hierarch and Cathedral of War. Unfortunately, if they're on Twin Pod, I'll probably need 2 removal spells or something else.
This is basically UG with an attempt at less pain than Apostles without White and Dismember. Path also handles Mirran Crusader which was nigh impossible to deal with before save pumping an Inkmoth.

That is why you play the protection spells. I know I on multiple occasions playing the standard version have slowrolled the double protection spells. Cast the first one, if they let it resolve, great! If not in response to the removal spell you cast the second protection spell.
This is why I would like to advocate playing more protection spells as your pump spells. Vines of vastwood is obvious but rangers guile and apostle's blessing should be highly considered as playsets (or close to) also.

I run Relic of Progenitus in almost all of my sideboards to combat grave strategies. You could also use Grafdigger's cage.
I made some changes to my list, by ditching Remand because I almost never cast it, and adding in some more pump and Apostle's Blessing.

I suggest using the following cards: Grafdigger's Cage, Torpor Orb, Viridian Corrupter, Creeping Corrosion, Hurkyl's Recall, Relic of Progenitus or Tormod's Crypt, Corrupted Resolve or Spell Pierce.
Have you consider using Necropede? He works as a removal and a creature.
U/X deck without Sleight of Hand or Serum Visions seems odd... Card advantage is really important in a quick format like modern.
