I don't know if its too janky, but how about turn two zombie infestation discarding 6 cards including dread return and a critter to make zombies which in turn you sacrifice to flashback the dread return?. It seems easy to disrupt but it also seems like much fun. Iona turn two? Sign me up.

I am petitioning for the removal of mythic rarity and boycotting overpriced singles. Sig this to join the cause for a more affordable Magic the Gathering.
Goryo's Vengeance is an instant, so it can respond to Emrakul's shuffle trigger (it's not a replacement effect like Progenitus's). Thus, you can reanimate Emrakul this way. (How did this deck make it to Modern Dailies if this interaction weren't legal?)

Dread Return is banned.
@Boon: It's going to kill you more often than it should. This deck already hurts itself too much, Spoils is not worth it IMO.

... I had an idea when this combo was posted somewhere else.
How would Glimpse the Unthinkable be? It's essentially a Draw 10 when lloking for Emrakul.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
If you want more reanimation spells, just use Makeshift Mannequin. It also allows you to play more control-ish in your build, possibly even discarding something like Jin-Gitaxis.
I'm surprised no one has brought up muddle the mixture. It seems really solid with goryo's vengeance and prowler. I think that some sort of control suite is acceptable, maybe muddle and spell pierce.

Muddle the Mixture is a nice choice. I might stick 1-2 in to test as extra copies of the game winning cards.

Makeshift Mannequin will probably end up being too slow/too expensive to protect with counterspells. This format has incredibly efficient answers, and so does this deck, so being able to play them and actually reanimate Emmy early is a huge deal.

My god, Goryo's costs 2! I thought it costs 3... this deck is broke!
Has anyone tried a singleton Time of Need so that you can fetch Emrakul from a Muddle the Mixture? It would need slight adjustments to the manabase of course but it seems pretty useful

There just aren't enough slots in the deck to justify it. Builds with Muddle the Mixture are transmuting for Goryo's Vengeance, and Emrakul you just dig for with 12-14 1cmc spells. You could run a non-interaction build and cut Thoughtseize/Inquisition/Duress, but the combo isn't terribly hard to assemble. It's very similar to Infect decks that way.
Update - Splinter Twin and Goblin Storm decks are irritating. Hand disruption buys a turn occassionally in game 1s, but boarding in Extirpate here is necessary. Their clocks are virtually indentical to ours, except storm decks can win on turn 2...but my point is, game 1 almost always comes down to the die roll, which is irritating. Pack some hate for these match-ups in your sideboards.

You need to respond to that triggered ability to reanimate him.
So only an instant spell would be able to respond, where as I cant use animate dead (as an example I know its not playable for modern), but i can use Goryo's. i understand now, thanks!
Is this deck still viable after bans of ponder and preordain?
Put quite simply, probably not, but I may test the Sleight of Hand/Serum Visions combination to see if it digs fast enough. If it can't, this deck is too slow.

--Peer Through Depth ... provide to dig 5 cards for instant or sorcery.U can search for Goryo's vengeance and Through the Breach. And all of that 3 spells are arcane type.
--Thirst for Knowledge ... provide new three cards and discard 2 cards (act like discard outlet)
if u design to spash green.., Fauna Shaman is very interesting.

:symu::symr::symg: ANIMAR :symu::symr::symg:
3 Island
2 Drowned Catacomb
3 Swamp
3 Watery Grave
4 Eldrazi Conscription
4 Academy Researchers
2 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
4 Gitaxian Probe
4 Goryo's Vengeance
4 Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur
2 Muddle the Mixture
1 Nicol Bolas
4 Ponder
4 Preordain
4 Raven's Crime
4 Serum Visions
4 Zombie Infestation
I believe that Raven's Crime will fit the bill when it comes to discarding yourself. Not only that but you can retrace it and cast it again.
The Academy/Conscription is just as a backup in the event of G1 grave hate.
Not sure about a sideboard but this deck is looking to be alot of fun!
4 Oona's Prowler
4 Goryo's Vengeance
4 Makeshift Mannequin
4 Preordain
4 Serum Visions
4 Inquisition of Kozilek
By the way:

It's pretty much the same card, there just happen to be more blue sources than black in many of the builds.

How do u think about spash for red for use Through the Breach for get rid of the problem Emrakul in ur hand with out the discard outlet.
For this deck I prefer to use this 2 cards. Peer Through Depth and Thirst for Knowledge
