this deck's design for speed, means its ok to use gemstone mine and city of brass aggressively. infect is already fighting a losing battle if the game goes longer than turn 4.
the fetches are just there increase the chance of you getting better top decks, instead of drawing that extra land.
Nah no thanks. You can keep your nerd thug tactics. It is ridiculous that I cant trade MY cards using MY databased list which is easy to update and manage. The mod community here is the terrible, virtual MTG brownshirt club.
Need help with a sideboard. Trying to find good cheap ways to get rid of Melira, prey upon maybe? Also contemplating using gratdiggers cage for anti Living End

No groundswell because I don't want to be stuck having to use it and not be able to drop a land first and No might of old krosa because I can't find anyone who has them. When I do get them I'll be replacing slaughterhorn with them

How does it play? How often do you Mulligan? Are the nexus an absolute? Pendalhaven? Do you get creature swamped? Any tournament results?

Most wins are by about 3rd turn and I mulligan very rarely so far. I have not been creature swamped yet but I can see this deck getting pump swamped. Pendlehaven works very well to help me pump my creatures a little if I don't have any pumps left to dish out, most of the time leading to that last poison counter I need to win. I went 3-0 at a tournament at my local hobby shop with this.
How ya guys think about it, it will not be running 8 fetches since i wont be running black, ranger's guile is there for more hex proofness against bolts and such.

I like it! Although i'm not a fan of the rangers guiles. I always saw the vines of vastwood to be enough.
I'm trying to build example decks for an infect primer, and both infect and modern are still new enough where there isn't have a wide variety of infect competitive modern infect decks.
I tested this deck, which currently has no sideboard
Which has these stats, with the first number being the game I tested it and the second number being the turn of yours (as in, not counting your opponent's turn on the cycle, which would technically make it turn 8) in which it could deal 10 or more poison counters by.

So you have a 66.7 or 2/3 * 100 chance of winning between turn 3 or 4, assuming no creatures get removed and you can use all your pumps, which in some cases they aren't needed. If a single creature got removed near the start it would probably delay the deck by a turn or two making the average win around your 4th - 6th turn, which is why it runs thoughtsize and vines of the vastwood. I'm not sure if running Inkmoth would dramatically reduce the chances of having the mana you need.
Well, first off, Invigorate isn't Modern legal. So there goes a pretty solid slot. Might of Old Krosa isn't a bad replacement.

Yeah I just realized after looking it up that Modern doesn't allow those extra sets like commander or garruk vs... unlike Legacy or Vintage, and immediately thought of Old Krosa, but idk why the hell the primer isn't the the primer section, sure woulda saved me some time. Plus Virulent Wound should be a sideboard, if you play against another deck that relies on early 1/1 creatures like for instance elves or goblins or another infect deck, it only helps as you wouldn't usually use black for pumping to win.

Hi guys, as i have already write in this post, i would like to insist on that point :
what is the first boost you leave from the main deck when you side ?
Is anyone who can answer what does he side vs
Twin Exarch
Affinity
UrzaTron
Birthing Pod
Jund
Scapeshift
Thank you for helping
Hmmm prob Groundswell and sometimes rancor as landfall can be hard sometimes to get.
Affinity prob Groundswell for Hurkyl's Recall
Twin prob Groundswell for Torpor orb / Spellskite
Birthing Pod Groundswell for Torpor Orb / Pithing needle
Jund prob Rancor for something that u think may help
Scapeshift prob Rancor for Beast Within (Get rid of their lands to keep them from reaching critical and since they almost creatureless rancor doesn't really make sense to include)

Mmkay so I have an infect deck basically ready to go, but I am hesitant to build it. I have read a lot of...complaints...from other deck runners saying they won't even play against infect.
I honestly don't think it is that unfair, in that if you can disrupt the opening hand or first couple of plays, Infect often struggles.
What have been peoples' experiences playing this in the meta lately? I want to build a BG one built around Phyrexian Crusader, Stingers, and Glisteners and Myrs.
Thanks!gemstone mine is actually a perfect card for this deck! as is city of brass

For Jund, try to get a starting hand with 2 infect creatures or 1 infect creature + inkmoth that should solve the discard problem.
