First thing that pops out... lots of basics. Whats your sideboard?
Also, 4 ravager seems a bit much, I would go down to at least 3.
Should probably be 4 mox opals, main reason to play them is to have 1 in opening hand, playing 3 goes against this plan. Also, they are rarely bad in multiples when you have shrapnel blast and ravagers.
No steel overseer? He is pretty amazing. He always either gets removed the turn played, or basically wins the game. Can be lackluster when you draw him with an empty board... but if you drop him t1 / t2... its great.
If you can afford them, glimmervoids are awesome at fixing your colors, allows for bb to equip at instant speed, also allows for wider side board choices.
Lastly, if you have them, a few inkmoth nexus are always welcome. Many times you can win by insta swapping a plating onto a inkmoth swing (granted, this is only against players that didn't play to close of attention). Also great against decks that have life gain.
Anyway, you should test it yourself with a few of the changes, see if it works out better for you. If not... stick to what works for you.
Thanks for the advice! Right now, I am just trying to assemble the basics of the deck into something I can play casually at the shop, and eventually improve upon it when money becomes available for that.
Only 14 land? Most lists run 16 (not counting moxs or springleafs), and they don't even have any 4 drops. Personally, I cut down to 15 land, but even then I have noticed that I have many more unplayable hands than I used to.
How has it worked out for you?
Inkmoth are awesome, but I don't think I would completely cut blinkmoth for them (unless you just don't have them? then its understandable). Have you tested with both?
This is the build I am aquiring cards for. However, my lgs doesn't hold hardly any modern events so EDH has priority. This is also from memory and I haven't played it in a bit. Also the sideboard is untested. Any suggestions on that or the list in general would be appreciated. Thanks
I really find that the Etched Champions in mb are very overrated. Yes, they can win games alone, but they slow the deck down tremendously. I run 3 in SB, and i side them in vs. Zoo and other decks that play alot of burn and big dudes.
The thing is, Affinity can outrun most decks if played very agressively, but I often find that the champion slows things down more than saves my behind. I would definately swap out the 2 champions, and 2 master of etherium for maybe Frogmites, and then also include some Shrapnel blasts, for the incredible speed they bring.
That does make sense. I did actually want Shrapnel Blasts for this deck so this could make room for them. I just haven't found any yet. Thanks for the critique. You'd probably know better than I.

It depends on the meta as much as anything. Champion is very good at getting the damage through when needed, but is a gray ogre when it isn't relevant. I've ran versions with frogmite, both blasts and lightning bolts and versions which go slower. Both have different strengths and weaknesses
A meta can be good for champ without being full of artifact hate.
Enough jund, zoo, caw and cal in the mix and I'm playing champ main deck ;-) it comes down to the amount of times he's more valuable than not.
Although the more a meta moves towards suiting champ, the more tempting it is to run a Tezz build instead so I do agree with you on the power of red being in access to burn! (Although Blood Moon and Whipflare are notable)
I have 3 concerns about a few cards I am on the fence about:
1. Should I run 4 Inkmoth Nexus instead of 4 Blinkmoth Nexus?
2. I would like to run Thoughtcast but I can't find any way of putting it in.
3. I like Frogmite because of it's affinity but I don't really want to get rid of any creatures because I like their synergy.
The last question is does the sideboard really have good hate for the top decks people play? I have been hearing that Blood Moon is starting to be less important.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

List I've been tweaking for a while. Pretty happy with how it performs now, just wondering if anyone knows how to shore up the martyr proc matchup? Seems to be the only deck I consistently lose to.
I have been an Affinity pilot since Mirrodin block. At it's core this deck is a comb deck. The goal being, getting to that magic number of artifacts where you can bring your opponent into range for burn spell X with Ravager or Plating. I've bore witness to this deck dealing 13+ damage in a turn. My have a modern build currently constructed and its very fast and consistent.
The core of this deck is where it needs to be. There are 28 cards that cost 0 (16 land+ 12: 0 cmc). 80% of the time T1 is 3-4 cards played. I have no sideboard complete, I am always open to input. I win on a consistent turn 3 but i feel the deck could be more resilient. The places where I can see change occurring are in the Etched Champion slot and the Thoughtcast slot. My options include: Steel Overseer- Helps the artifact army, sorta slow. Haste to be found here. Disciple of the Vault: Make the Ravager win route go twice as fast. Big + but is a horrible topdeck and not ravger food himself. Dispatch- For all that petty stuff- shut off martyr proc and ExarchKikiTwin.
I have also toyed around with the idea of Tempered Steel. They all have their own pluses and minuses, I am seeking some opinion from all of you on experiences with these cards in other metas. Thank you in advance all thoughts are appreciated.

When you say changes in the Etched Champion and Thoughtcast slot, are you thinking of getting rid of them? I wouldn't get rid of Etched Champion, and I would even bump him up to a 4 of. He's such a house against things like Jund and Aggro Loam.

Frogmite for thoughtcast I think should be a pretty easy switch. Probably would take out a shrap blast for a frog as well.
Steel Overseer is a monster...untapping with this will win you the game. Worst case for him he gets rid of removal. He also rocks with ravager and blinkmoth. Can put him in for the champions...which I think are more of SB thing. You seem to be going for the tiny robots to the face build and champion is more of a midrange-tezz affinity thing IMO. They do still work in the sideboard however.
I definatly would not play with inkmoth nexus as it just dosent do what the rest of the deck is going for. Sure cranialing/ravaging with it for 10 if you absolutly have to is a nice option but if thats your only option the deck is not playing well.
My mana base is like
4 Glimmervoid
4 Darksteel Citadel
4 Blinkmoth Nexus
3-4 City of Brass
Dispatch is great against pesky creatures but I also think this is a SB thing as the 4 main gal blasts can be used to pop stuff if you really need to.

To get your count up to where you want it to be, so you are in shrap or gal-blast range; you can tap a Moth and it becomes a tapped 1/1 artifact. Which ravager can eat or plating will count. I'm not concerned about color with 12 color sources still available (mox, drum, void).
Steel Overseer is very good at what your saying......"Making my tiny robot army nastier". And he costs one less which is nice. I'm a fan of a mana curve under 3. :). i just wish Baleful Strix was legal in modern.
I'm thinking of a SB something like:

The Champion adds resiliency to the deck. The core of the problem I face is I don't know my meta too well, other than there is a lot of Delver. The good thing about both the Overseer and the Champion is that they demand an answer. If our opponent can't answer within a turn we've won.
The theory I have behind thoughtcast is, we should be able to play anything in our hand; therefore the 2 cards we gain from the one mana spent on thoughtcast is very efficient card advantage. But there enlies the the question: Is it better to topdeck a Thoughtcast and draw 2 or topdeck a Frogmite?
can you play affinity with two ravagers? I managed to get two but im unsure about how effective they are.
If you look at the decks that 9-0'd day one of GP Yokohama here, you will see the second deck listed is an affinity deck that was only running 2 ravagers.
