Gronten, Mutavault is also a goblin. Still, not very many and not enough to really make Goblin Grenade accessible.

With 8 goblins, I could easily play 3 Goblin grenades. My question is, would it be beneficial.
I still think it might be, especially with how prevalent Kitchen Finks are. Goblin Grenades allow for a much stronger game 1 and can always be sided out for Blightnings or Rain of Gores or whatever. In this kind of deck, game 1 is arguably the most important to win. Also, I want to mention Grim Lavamancer. Adding him to the lists would make the curve play out better and allow for a bit of mid-late game reach. What are the collective thoughts on him?
And regardless, Mutavault has been an all star for me, even without goblin grenades. So many of our creatures swing and get sac'd, it is great to have a manland.

I've been playing with this build lately and its been getting there consistanly, though that's probobly because 22 of the cards do the same thing. Its gone far past my expectaitions and has shown me R/b is the best deck in modern.

Not even for Bump in the Night, Blightning and Rain of Gore? I see definate value there tbh, but I am willing to experiment. Bob is just too expensive for me.
Those are good cards sure, but the biggest, and most convincing reason to splash black is Bob. When you are running 14-18 lightning bolts, he sure helps you close games. Other wise you are playing a burn deck with a good sideboard card, an okay Lava spike, and a medicore burn spell. If you aren't running Bob you might as well use char or flame javelin or flames of the blood hand instead of blightning.

Sideboard is also getting some tweaks, with the addition of Rain of Gore and Sudden Death to replace Anathemancer. I keep wanting to fit Extirpate and Thoughtseize in, but I feel like I should stick to cards that deal damage with this deck.
Def dark confidant. Its been awesome in every game i've gotten it. I would consider them over some marauder action as well.

I've had good luck with Red Sun's Zenith as a midgame finisher if I can't wrap it up too quickly. If price is no issue, Dark Confidant would fit your deck beautifully and is an awesome card, but you had said earlier you don't have them?

I build this version with some friends of mine and it works pretty okay he went up top demi final with unbelievable mulligan in G1 and G2 he had the 4 lightning helix of the deck... so pretty ugly you could say...
But it hasn't been update since, so i don't know how the deck has improved right now...
As far as i'am concern i'am not a big fan of spark elemental and grim lavamancer but i played the deck and they were ok, not increadible but lavamancer did save my ass on Iona reanimated turn 5.
I had them in my sideboard, but when there isnt a single match up that I would board it in against... well it had to go so I could make room for stuff that I would actually use.
I think a singleton Dark Confidant might make the grade. I would like to keep that slot open for a 2 drop and he seems like the most useful. They are expensive, but luckily I have a couple of friends I could borrow them from if I ever took this to a competitive tournament. Maybe I will look into picking up 1 for myself anyway. I could invest in a single card that costs $50, but to get a playset is not what I would consider within my price range.
I can kill most combo players before they go off... and if I cant, well hopefully I have enough burn to stop their combo.
The only real worry of combo here is UR Twin, which is why Sudden Death and Combust are both in my sideboard. They also have a lot more uses than Duress, which is actually not very good in this format. I would probably run Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek before Duress.
Earthbound21, a 2/2 in addition to damage means they need a blocker to avoid turning it into 4-5 damage or you can chump something big to nearly buy a turn.
DOLZero, 2xDark Confidant seems good. It lets you test them well enough (and hopefully often enough) to reconsider finding the funds and slots for the other 2x.

Because 3 mana for 2 or 3 damage with a 2/2 body is largely irrelevant in a format where 3/3 for 1 and 4/5 for 2 are the norm.
And instead of running bad cards, I can play more 3 damage 1 mana spells.
