That Forbidden Orchard tech with Searing Blaze is pretty interesting. I side out my blazes in matches where I haven't seen any creatures, but this would let me keep them in as a live draw, and they let me get extra damage from Rakdos Charm.
Still run Leyline of Sanctity, and that's the main target. The only other relevant target is spirit link/lifelink, but it is mitigated (somewhat) by Skullcrack.
Splinter Twin.
Irrelevant to the matchup. You are already boarding in Torpor Orb and Rakdos Charm to slow them down, and doesn't stop Kiki kill.
Prismatic Omen.
Two problems. First, Omen isn't really a part of most scapeshift decks. Second, the better target in that matchup is Leyline of Sanctity, and the only way they can use it is to mull aggressively into it.
Another one where Leyline of Sanctity is the main enchantment you want to kill in that MU.
I guess my main point is the 'sit in hand" argument is a non-factor when the real enchantment you wanna deal with is Leyline of Sanctity on Turn 0 and it's better to kill it and have a bear than have a bear, and wait for it to come down.
How often is forbidden orchard going to turn on a searing blaze v giving them a chump blocker for your goblin guide? Isn't it better to just run Gemstone Mine?
Searing Blaze hits the spirit token, so it shouldn't ever be leaving a chump blocker behind to trip up Goblin Guide. Alternatively, do the Searing Blaze trick post-combat for the rub-ins.
I haven't actually tried it, but I routinely find success when talking through my ass.
Yes, but I mean how often are you going to have guide and orchard with no searing vs the times that you have searing spear with no target?
Seeing spear is a SB cards, its silly to run a card with a downside just so you can run an incinerate maindeck. Gemstone mine has virtually 0 downside.
I used to run Back to Nature for Leylines and the Bogle deck, but aren't both on the decline? It seems many decks are cutting Leylines b/c there isn't as much discard with Jund on the decline, and same thing with Bogles.
It's good enough to be a Primer as is. The only thing I would look at is maybe getting a list of match ups added in somewhere along the line. You can always edit the OP, and will probably have to adapt it to meet new criteria in the meta throughout the life of the thread.
I believe that burn is on the upswing, and jund isn't gonna disappear overnight. I expect more if not the same amount of leylines. From perusing all the archetypes that 4-0'd dailies I classified decks based on my initial read on how much game they had versus us. (again, these are my first impressions). Decks with leylines or excessive lifegain/disruption(like spell pierce) are in tougher.
Matchups:
Tougher
Second Breakfast, Amarican Midrange, Bw Tokens, Hive Mind (it's been doing pretty well lately)
Medium
4c birthing pod, Jund, Melira pod, boggled enchantments
Easier
RG Tron, Spirit Jund, Scapeshift, Dark Naya, Splinter Twin.
Here are some SB cards I suggest for the primer: War Priest of Thune, suppression field, smash to smithereens.
Is suppression field as good as I think it is? We have to side out Grim/DS but it shuts off (or super hinders) pod, DS, twin, manlands, GR tron's artifact ramp, and Second Breakfast... Seems good.
How's our affinity matchup? Haven't seen them around lately. Can we cut StS?

Rakdos Charm is a better way of handling storm than killing their Pyromancer's Ascension.
