I really like the Prismatic Omens over the Primal Command in the MB since it's, practically, another wincon by itself if you draw at least one Valakut so that makes it better than having a pseudo-5th titan (drawing multiples of Valakut with an Omen online makes it even better than a tutor for Titan as well). Also the 4 bolts main would make up for the lack of the "gain 7 life" mode against aggro decks. The only thing you'll probably (if ever) miss is the manipulation of the other dude's topdeck, but so far I haven't really been missing that since you're pretty much going "online" faster if you drew an Omen that took the Command's spot anyway.
4 Bolts is really required with the aggro meta.
I also have 2 relic MD (-1 Khalni Heart Expedition, - 1 Primal Command) because i have living end, snapcaster and termo in my meta.
Personally i have cut the 2 explore for Prismatic Omen, Scapeshift with six lands is so sweet
PS : i am working on the primer of the deck but it's difficult because I'm not English (mainly to explain the choice of cards), if someone wants to help me he sent me a pm I will send you the work I've done. Thanks.
Are GW hatebears a terrible matchup? I just get wrecked everytime I play against it
If you are playing the lightning bolt style of deck, you should be able to fend off anti-search effects with bolts and post board you have Anger of the Gods to deal with the bears. GQ might be an issue but I've rarely had a real issue with it when playing. The Thalia effects are definitely not the big problem when playing this deck.

Also, I think the TecEdges are a bigger problem than the GQs by themselves. This is (ofc) assuming that you get to deal with the search-blockers with your bolts. The GQs can be played around, and don't really stop you from ramping up to that Titan/Scapeshift.
On another note... Is anyone else considering switching out the Nature's Claims for Natural States?? I haven't really been seeing Leylines, and/or decks that could run them recently.
Well yesterday i played a 15 players tourney the same main deck as the SCG dude, but sb was a little diff.
R1 lost 1-2 against merfolk. The guy was pretty new to magic, but i didnt draw no Scape or Titan G1 and had mana screw G3.
R2 Bye
R3 Won 2-1 against naya burn. I won G1 just because i started and had Prismatic Omen and 6 lands scapeshift :). I drew 2 STE each game, that was reaaaally very good
R4 Won 2-0 against UWR KIKI.
There were a lot of aggro, so Lightning Bolt is needed quite a lot. I guess i will be playing the same deck next week

It seems like a more important difference for RUG, since you don't want to Claim-Snap-Claim. In this deck, I wouldn't want to be caught without Claims. You can also always blow up your own sutff in a pinch.

Plus, it seems easier for this deck to deal a billion damage than it does for more traditional RUG/BTL versions. Prismatic Omen, Khalni Heart Expedition and Prime Time can pretty easily make up for that four damage in a hurry.
@Zotob : It's just because this topic is not a primer, i work on a primer but it's difficult because I'm not English (mainly to explain the choice of cards), if someone wants to help me he sent me a pm. I will send you the work I've done. Thanks.
If a primer is made sure this deck will be in tiers 2
Drmcninjalite : That is the conclusion I made after the tournament, in most matches i have play I just needed one more turn to win (time walk/fog) and lightning bolt can't do anything for save me.
I think about Infect and Eldrazi, both don't cares about lightning bolt. Fog is also great against any aggro deck.
I took Joey Mispagel's RG deck to regionals this weekend and did pretty well. I went 5-1 before I dropped (I sadly had a prior commitment). I took out relics from the sb and added Mwonvuli Acid-Moss. That card was legit and won me a few games, as it asserted so much tempo advantage. I lost to burn, beat WBeldrazi, colorless eldrazi, grixis control, living end, and affinity.
Further, I want to say that I do think Lightning Bolt is the card to play in this deck. Not only does it kill fast creatures, but it helps you get the kill as well. Since our magical number is 18 life points, bolts secures the kill against decks that don't play painful lands, such as the colorless eldrazi. Whilst I side them out after game 1, it does give us the reach we need in the blind.
I am taking Joey's exact list as well. I will text the Mwonvuli Acid-Moss. If you don't mind, could you provide if you would add anymore changes and a SB guide that you used? I am still in the stages of building the deck and will be testing/playing it very soon.
Still playing the same list from a couple posts up, went 4-0 again at our LGS' tuesday night modern. Prizes were kinda beefed up a bit last night though coz it was the shop's anniversary (thus a bit more than usual on players).
Played against mono green stompy, uw tron with gifts package, junk, and burn.
Bolt is the card to run. For sure as the guy 2 posts up said.

For the sideboard, Natural State is a test, i have no leyline of sanctity in my meta.
Autumn's Veil and Guttural Response are also a meta choice. (uw control, grixis control and ur control)

Whatever I build from my Box-o-EDH stuff
Legacy
Sneak and Show
UR Delver
Scapeshift Nic Fit
Modern
Merfolk
btw is crazy that this deck is still in the deck creation section...
It seems weird, but the only other sub would be T2 decks and a Scapeshift archetype is already there.
