Aside from the $10 investment, how much money would i need to invest into MTGO to build a Pauper deck? Pretty basic topic, just curious since I'm "new".
You can get there on the $10. There are tiers of commons from different bots that sell like 250 for a ticket, 100 for a ticket, 50 for a ticket, 25 for a ticket... You give them a ticket each, store your bot credit, save them to your friends list and collect the ones you want.
There's also Standard pauper if you want a smaller pool.
MTGO prices generally follow actual prices or cheaper, so Cloudpost will still probably cost a ticket and change, but you might as well go to the source in MTGO.
Go to the Market Place tab in MTGO and search for Cloudpost. If that doesnt bring any hits, search for commons and bots selling around a ticket per card.
I'm looking to build U/R 8 Post. Is there a place i could check prices online?
I would recommend going to MTGOTraders.Com as there prices are typically around the same prices for everyone on MTGO and they usually have most things in stock if you wanted to order from them as well.

I'll tack on to this that there is a pretty close knit group of Pauper & Standard Pauper players on MTGO. Check out http://pdcmagic.com/ for info on their community, tournaments, winning decklists, etc. If you want to get in to Standard Pauper then now might be a good time. Rotation is coming in a couple months which means the initial start up cost will be at its annual low point.

10 dollars should get you there. I think cloudpost is like 50 cents these days. There might be some randomly expensive card, but I don't recall one other than the aforementioned REB.

I've found people to be really aggressive there, personally.
It is a good resource for decklists, though. And take what I say with a grain of salt, because I haven't been there in a while.

I'll be sad if people don't start calling The Chain Veil "Fleetwood Mac."

REB, BEB, Prohibit, and Serrated Arrows all cost over $1.
I just priced a deck on MTGO traders and the whole thing was about $25 depending on how many of the aforementioned cards you buy. Keep in mind that the bots may not always have the cheapest version.
Fortunately many of the decks have come down in price lately and the staples are very similar. Once you buy a set of REB or BEB you only have to get them once and you are good to go for your next deck.
TLDR Version: You aren't going to be competitive for $10, but spend the extra $15 and get there because its worth it.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
