Basically run the hana kami + soulless revival "combo" (one fetches the other fetches the other etc) to a) pump creatures large and give them evasion, b) thief of hope them to death, or c) kill creatures with waning moon trigger + horobi. Either that or put out a lot of creatures and greed them to death.
from what i've seen from BoK, soilshaper will probably go in along with eradicate and the green ki guy. Possibly the black one too when i see what he does.
You may even want to consider Center Tree, as he can be HUGE, very fast. Plus fetch you a North or South Tree back from the dead. I'm also not sure about Laughter main deck. I may be wrong, but a lot of the time wouldn't it pose more of a detriment to you than a help?
The soilshaper combo is just there as a coincidence. They just happen to be 2 good cards. And what is Mud Dweller? Perhaps you mean Loam Dweller?
Wear away is for more than hondens. In block testing I've seen many a white deck running either equipment (oathkeeper), ghostly prison, and also dont forget that most spirit decks'll be running gohei's. Hence, the wear aways. And it also seems that our decks have different strategies. You attack for damage, every time. I have options, either beat to death with kodama or play thief tricks until opponent dies.
Also i havent reported updates on the deck recently. The current list traded an eradicate for a reach and loam dwellers replaced the soilshapers.
So in summary, look at the theorized tier decks, most run some artifact or enchantment, thus wear away. soilshaper combo, was there as a coincidence, gone now anyway. This deck runs on the combo, whereas yours... doesnt. update to decklist.
EDIT: and coincidentally, in your post you referred to 2 nonexistent cards
how about adding the Soilshaper + Eradicate combo in this deck?
It still be a good deck using Devouring Greed and so on... and if you are able to pull of the Soilshaper + Eradicate trick... its an auto win if you ask me.

I gotta say, your ability to judge how good a deck is at a glance is absolutely freakin' inspiring. I had no idea a player could be so good as to circumvent all need to test things out.
I know I'm running light on land fetch and removal right now, and will undoubtedly cut some of the creatures; but I'm familiar with all the G/B land fetch and creature removal cards and need to test the creature base to find the right combination of cards. (Yes, yes, I know Kokusho, the Evening Star is not present but I've tested with him already.)
I got the general idea from someone I know. I don't really know how strong this will be, but it looks rather solid. You deal as much damage as you can early on, stay out of the red zone with Thief of Hope, and finish them of with a large Devouring Greed or Soulblast. Any suggestions as how to improve this deck? Also, I really haven't got the foggiest what to put in the sideboard. Discuss
You have 20 creatures with a power of 2 or less, heck only 8 of them have a power of two and will die FAST. This format is very creature intensive and you need to be able to cover your rear end. Soul Blast has to go. It never was that great in the first place. Actually... looking at the available spirits for B/R. They don't seem to have the kind of impact you need to do what your doing. Maybe I'm just blind, I dunno. Replacing soulblast with Kokusho may be a good idea. Sacing Kokusho to Greed means at least an 18 life difference. Not bad.
The only problem is if opponents are going to shoot them. The idea is to build up an army of small critters, then deal a lot of damage with greed. I put in the soulblast to have an extra outlet, but I agree it's suboptimal. Kokusho doesn't seem to be that hot either though, as the game usually should be over by the time you can play it. Maybe it's a better idea to splash blue for Eerie Procession to fetch Greed?
Then again, this deck has a lot to fear from Cranial Extraction, maybe it's a good idea to diversify the finisher?
Personally, I prefer a B/G build, so you can use Hana Kami (and have Wear Away to kill Jittes). I think I agree about Kokusho, though, as an extra win condition.

ever looked on http://www.wizards.com it gives u lots of info on magic amd cards so if u havnt looked hav a look and it will tell u allmost anything about magic the gathering
In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police who investigate the crimes; and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.
no need to splash blue... just use the red for the burn (and creature removal)... black for the lifde drain (and creature removal)... kokusho for the finisher... or perhaps the devouring greed.
Sounds quite solid... though neither red or black has any great good bigspirits for a decent CC.

My build of Spiritcraft
4 Bile Urchin (The best black one drop in the format, great to reurect over and over again)
4 Child Of Thorns (Similiar to teh urchin exept it keeps your creatures alive and helps to kill enemy critters rather than damage your opponent)
4 Harbinger Of Spring (cannot be blocked by half the creatures in the format+soulshift=good)
4 Traproot Kami (gets big fast. a good defensive card for this deck)
4 Soulles Revival (it splices it dices it resurrects creatures for cheap)
4 Stir The Grave (cheap when used on a one drop)
4 Wear Away (kills jittes, torras, etc.)
4 Distress (why the hell would you not run this? its almost as good as durress)
4 Psychic Spear (cabal therapy for half the cards in this block)
2 Umezawa's Jitte (plain good in a creature based deck)
2 Hall Of The Bandit Lord (the life loss hurts alot, so you have to use this in moderation)
10 Forest
10 Mountain
my sideboard
3 Hideous Laughter (kills weenies dead)
4 Rend Spirit (kills half of the creatures in this format)
4 Rend Flesh (kills the other half of thew creatures)
4 Hired Muscle (scary when flipped and usable when not flipped)
Sorry for the double post, but is Koko any good in this deck? How can we improve B/G spiritcraft to face the 3 and 4 color gifts decks. I was thinking of some main or side boarded Befouls to provide some mana disruption as well as extra creature kill. I have also considered splashing red for mana disruption/zozu. Maybe some elders or reaches would be good even though they arent spirits. Reach is a bit slow but I think the arcannes makes it better if you are playing the cranial extraction/etherial haze, hana kami, soulles revival combo. Is disstress enough to combat heart of spring decks and other combo? Any thoughts on good sideboard cards to face rogue decks like sui-rats etc.?

i dont have a block version of B/G spirit craft...but i have the B/G rock that top 8'd in a ptq for type 2 and u guys are missing one of the best cards in the block format. Sickening Shoal. Hands down one of the best cards for spot removal and mas removal splicing....for example....Sickeing shoal a creature....u splice on hideous laughter...get back the laughter and laughter again. so u wipe the boad clean and next turn u can drop a fatty like kagemaro or kodama of the north tree.

Legend has it...that on this day 5 years from now a beast will arise and destroy all life. Some say its a myth, other say it will be our Judgemnet Day. But one thing is for certain, no one will live to tell the tale...
The day will come!
The beast controls ur life!
The beast Controls your death!
It is the decider of our fate!
It is...the Legacy Weapon!
And it shall rectify all those who have sinned!
hey everyone i justed wanted a little opinion in this deck im thinking about making once mirrodin block rotates out.:
4 Hana Kami
4 Sakura Trible Eldar
4 Theif of Hope
2 Dripping-Tounge Zubera
3 Ashen-Skin Zubera
2 Kami of waning moon
2 ???(big creature)
3 Kodoma of North Tree
2 Kami of the Hunt
I think that the deck needs a bit more focus... The zubera's aren't very good here and could probably be replaced with better spirits.. Greeds could stand to be a 4 of.. Horobi isn't exactly the nuts.. especially since people are running all sorts of the legendary lands which kill him pretty well. Befoul is terrible, just terrible.. [cardSickening Shoal[/card] or Kiku's Shadow is better. As well I'm not entirely sure how you get the :symu::symu: for the Crescent Moon... perhaps you mean waning moon?

Those who fear the darkness have never seen what the light can do.
Hmmm maybe i should replace the zubera's but for what?I didnt realize that legendary lands can target the horobi o.O , so thats gone for sure.Oh and the cresent moon i meant the black spirit that gives fear.typo!
What do you think about Shinen of Life's Roar ? Doesnt it let the other creatures to swing to make damage to your opponent?
In regards to Moss Kami , I think it is a good late game finisher and normally you would be able to get 6 mana easily with Tribe Elder and Kodama's Reach.
Are you sure about 4 Elder Pines? It sometimes slows you down because when you play a spirit or arcane spell you have to get all the lands from your library's top three cards, but of course it sometimes helps clearing excess lands from the top of your library.
Should Kodama's Might be included as a playset in this deck?

The deck became a lot more control, a lot less aggro. But it beats the old version 8-2

4 Kodama's Reach (Recurring Land Search is good too)
3 Hideous Laughter (Control)
3 Devouring Greed (One of many win Conditions)
4 Soulless Revival (recurring arcane recurers are kool)
4 Hired Muscle (Against non black)
3 Long-Forgotten Gohei (Not sure if this is MD or SB)
