I was drafting and a get some ideas about some creatures that I get in the draft. This maybe can be seen as a lot of junk or a casual deck, but, it can kick ass. The first idea was a Splice onto Arcane, but it doesn't have any good consistence. This deck is not the most fast but is very good maybe can be turn into a Archetype. :smile01: This remembers me the old U/G Maddness, obviously is not the same, maybe Better!

Explanation: Hana Kami: Its like the Eternal Witness of ChK, we needs her to get back the arcanes to beat. Guardian of Solitude: A pice of a combo and give flying to the beaters. Soilshaper: Give you extra attackers. You will like to see 3/3 flyers only by drawing cards. Student of Elements: Oh Yeah! The ChK Wonder. He is like: turn 3 - flying, haste 3/3 by 1U. Kami Of The Hunt: Is something like Wild Mongrel but only using Arcanes or Spirits. Kodama's Might: This card is awsome. Is like: Reach Throught Mist, Splice 2 Mights, play one Might splice the other and play the last one and you have a very big Kami Of The Hunt. Reach Throught Mist: The only arcane "Draw a Card" we have today. Really good to the turn three combo with the Student of Elements. Counsel of Soratami: No the best draw cardsbut thats all we have for now. We are expecting to see more good draw cards whit the arcane ability to reduce it whit the L-F Gohei. Long-Forgotten Gohei: Obviouslly it have to go in. Look for 2 lands for one green mana is insane. The +1/+1 doesn't comes bad too. Kodama's Reach: Arcane tuttor for lands you need. We can Splice to it and can be reduced the mana cost whit L-F Gohei. Kodama of The Souht Tree:Very good legend it pumps up you creatures for the win.
Other Cards: Time of Need: Strong card that can be part of a aggro deck. Gifts Ungiven: Tricky card. You can confuse your opponents whit this getting other tuttors or the things you need. Meloku, The Clouded Mirror: The Dragons controller and attacker maker.
This is the Idea:
Turn1: Hana Kami.
Turn2: Student of Elements, go for one whit Hana Kami.
Turn3: Guardian Of Solitude, Play Kodama's Might of Reach Throught Mist, Trigger the Guardian abillity to give flying to the Student. Now All creatures have Flying go wiht your creatures to hit him hard.
Like 7 damage in turn 3 not bad for the beganing of a block deck.
This is a preview that what can we do with Kamigawa Block!
And More Is Coming!
I've been playing lots of CHK block constructed on MtGO and I had a similar deck there.
First, the deck very quickly evolved towards a very heavy spirits/arcane build. The spiritcraft of Soilshaper and Kami of the Hunt is one of the strongest features of the deck, and to maximize it you should have as many spirit/arcane cards as possible.
Your combo with Student of the Elements is cute, but I doubt that I would play it... especially not the way your list is, the Guardian's spiritcraft really isn't reliable enough there. From my experience, once you have your spiritcrafters on the board, you often don't care what a spell does, as long as it's arcane or a spirit, since that'll let you boost your guys for another strong attack.
There were some things I wasn't happy with in my deck, since I eventually abandoned it for a splice control deck, but I think it's simply limited by the current card pool. Psychic Puppetry may appear bad, but I must say I was generally very happy with it, since I'd always try to splice it cheaply to tap down extra blockers. The only problem with it is that the splice cost is still U, so sometimes I'd be limited by my colored mana sources.
Also I don't believe in Long-forgotten Gohei, except perhaps as a 2-of in my deck above. Reducing the casting cost of arcane spells is fairly irrelevant, since it's really the splice cost you want to reduce... the boost to my guys is good, but then I never liked top-decking a Crusade after all my weenies got wrathed, if you know what I mean... I just don't think this kind of card is good enough, and besides, it's not a spirit/arcane card.
I think this kind of deck will get better after BoK, but then R/G spirits will probably be a better choice. My problem with R/G currently is only the lack of good red spiritcrafters. With Frostling out as a great one-drop, and perhaps some new spiritcrafters and splice cards in red, I suspect R/G will be superior to U/G.
I also have been working with a blue/green spirit based deck. I find that Teller of Tales works surprisingly well; it may cost you 5 mana, but the option to tap their creatures or untap yours proves to be rather useful. I'm currently running Sire of the Storm as well, but I'm probably going to trade those out for Keiga, the Tide Star when I get them. I'll miss drawing an insane amount of cards, but Keiga's 5/5 body and inherent card advantage are too much to pass up.
Guardian of Solitude is weak, I would much rather play with the miscalculation guy. He becomes a 3/4 which is very good on its own, and can slow your opponents down quite well. Yes he lets your opponents see exactly what you can do, but you can also have other counters in your hand, or may just be able to bounce whatever they play, overall I say it goes very well with the deck, and helps it in a way that it badly needed help (countermagic) Plus in this deck it will be very easy to get 3, 4, or even 5 counters on him in 2 or so turns. This seems to be the deck that will fit him perfectly, and with all the mana fixing you should have no trouble playing him.

Allright, i'm not necro-ing. I'm actually interested in this deck. I think Loam Dweller should be in there, as well as Elder Pine of Jukai and Ideas Unbound. Murmurs from Beyond could also be in there for late game fuel (like Ideas Unbound) but i don't think it would do so good. Again, this is not spam, mods move this to another forum if you want. I'm just really interested in this deck.
