Well this Thread is for brewing with modern staples and decks soo they can fit into Pioneer.
To keep it simple, if you have a decklist send the link of the original deck list and then make alterations and comment on those. The decklists don't need to be of the atual modern meta but would be nice to have the context of the cards in the original list, soo if you found it in a thread, link it; if you found the deck in a tournament page, link it.
It is kinda logical to look at formats that the new cards got to be played and what decks existed/exists in those formats and try to adapt them and see if they hold up.
But just because a deck contains a lot of cards that are new to the format, doesn't mean it's always better. The Frontier BG Counters list can be updated too.
Yeah, I'm tempted to update the Modern version of Hardened Scales for Pioneer, but Steel Overseer doesn't pump up Winding Constrictor so I'm looking more towards the best B/G creatures. I think Nissa plays a simliar roll as Overseer anyway as Overseer will only ever be a turn 3 pump spell, though Nissa's ability is worse because it's a -2. I may look at Vivien Arkbow Ranger or Drana, Liberator of Malakir instead. Overseer is better in Modern because you can sometimes cast him T1 with Mox Opal and pump T2. I still want to include Ballista and Hangarback, but there's just not enough artifacts to make the deck artifact-centric. I'm looking at Lotleth Troll, perhaps Varolz, and Tireless Trackers (for card draw) to start.
It doesn't have the turbo fog element but has most of the gate relevant cards in it (soo it would be easy for people trying to find them). As Prison is not legal in pioneer and neither Trace of Abundance is we could just remove them for better cards.
Saheeli combo is almost good enough in modern, expect to see a lot of that. RtR gives enough toys that once a couple combo decks get banned, UW or Esper control should be viable. there isn't much, even just Zendikar and Innistrad blocks are a huge part of most decks in Modern. Dredge, Tron, Affinity, even Jund is carried by pre-RtR cards
It feels like with Eidolon, Swiftspear,Boros Charm, Burn may be okay, although it loses a LOT of toys

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
I've been testing spirits with a similar list finally. I was not playing Spectral Sailor, and instead I was playing Essence Flux.
Rally of Wings is just nuts. With a mausoleum, queller, rattlechain and eagle, did 20 damage. I tested it against a pioneer burn with blue only for dig through time and a modern affinity.
Against burn, starting with mausoleum and rattle is mostly a win. And against the modern affinity, if it doesn't start with an all in first turn, it can be winable. I really liked how this deck works.
Another card which should be pretty good in Spirits is Curious Obsession, might be worth playing over Winged Words as a more proactive card draw option.

From the Thread people have been playing and discussing about: Ruins of Oran-Rief Karn, Scion of Urza, Simic Ascendancy, dromoka's command, Shapers' Sanctuary
Cards i would consider in the deck Once Upon a Time (good to find fixing if we have to go more than 1 primary color, with colorless lands in the deck), Syndicate Trafficker (without path to exile his ability to become indestructive is very relevant, even if you can't pass the counters around. With Animation Module you can put as much counters as you want on it making simic ascendancy a real theat if you are being blocked), Bioshift (well with flyers and walking ballista this can give us "reach"), Chamber Sentry (if we are moving into more colors then a walking balista wanna-be could be good)
1 Opulent Palace
2 Forest
2 Swamp
4 Blooming Marsh
2 Botanical Sanctum
2 Ruins of Oran-Rief
3 Mana Confluence
1 Fabled Passage
1 Watery Grave

Lets see if we can help solve the format
Not Sure There Are Alot of Cards Entering the Format.
It is kinda logical to look at formats that the new cards got to be played and what decks existed/exists in those formats and try to adapt them and see if they hold up.
BTW: I brewed Robots yesterday: https://scryfall.com/@Nideon/decks/439f521f-8e80-47bd-b047-8ae02c597ee6
Well, Mtg goldfish played at least a league with Maze's End deck but i think it would be hard to adapt.

There is a list from standard using the Turbo Fog strategy here: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/archetype/standard-maze-s-end-11548#paper

It feels like with Eidolon, Swiftspear,Boros Charm, Burn may be okay, although it loses a LOT of toys
It loses cards like:
Aether Vial, Path to Exile, Phantasmal Image, Drogskol Captain and Geist of Saint Traft.
I've replaced them with:
Spectral Sailor, Empyrean Eagle, Nebelgast Herald and Winged Words + Rally of Wings.
Here is my list:
4x Mausoleum Wanderer
4x Spectral Sailor
4x Rattlechains
4x Selfless Spirit
4x Supreme Phantom
4x Empyrean Eagle
4x Spell Queller
4x Nebelgast Herald
4x Rally of Wings
Sorcery (4)
4x Winged Words
Land (20)
4x Unclaimed Territory
4x Hallowed Fountain
4x Glacial Fortress
2x Mutavault
3x Island
3x Plains
2x Remorseful Cleric
2x Bygone Bishop
3x Deputy of Detention
2x Reflector Mage
4x Dovin's Veto
2x Blessed Alliance
Some more potential card choices:
# Favorable Winds - as an additional anthem.
# Smuggler's Copter - can slot in as a looter.
# Opt/Anticipate - instant speed cantrips potentially for the Winged Words slot.
# Unsummon/Unsubstantiate and Essence Flux - tempo plays and combat tricks.
# Spell Pierce and Quench - tempo countermagic.
Here it is:
4x Gilded Goose
2x Scavenging Ooze
2x Courser of Kruphix
2x Tireless Tracker
2x Savage Knuckleblade
4x Thunderbreak Regent
3x Glorybringer
Enchantment (4)
4x Oath of Nissa
Instant (9)
4x Silumgar's Scorn
4x Draconic Roar
1x Abrade
2x Roast
Planeswalker (4)
2x Oko, Thief of Crowns
2x Sarkhan Unbroken
Land (22)
4x Rootbound Crag
4x Hinterland Harbor
2x Breeding Pool
2x Steam Vents
2x Stomping Ground
2x Lumbering Falls
2x Forest
2x Island
2x Mountain
2x Scavenging Ooze
2x Destructive Revelry
2x Abrade
2x Negate
2x Roast
2x Anger of the Gods
2x Chandra, Torch of Defiance
1x Keranos, God of Storms
I'm not sure if the interaction here is enough as it isn't very at closing the game and doesn't disrupt as well as BG/x decks.
I wonder if Reality Shift or Thrash // Threat can work as legitimate removal spells in these colors (besides Roast).
