Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Nothing special yet. I would have absolutely loved Veil of Summer at common. I understand why they didn't do it, but how cool would it have been to have a card that's basically Green Elemental Blast? It would have been an awesome sideboard card for so many decks.

Agreed. Maybe it will get a downgrade someday, but I won't hold my breath.

The CMC on Squad Captain seems way too steep for the kind of decks that would make it reliably big. Martyr's Soul gives us something way better in that role.
Woops! So it is! Nothing really worth writing home about anyways, though. If it had cost 1 and then 2 to equip, it maybe could have seen some play with trinket Mage...
Is Audacious Thief really a common? If so, this is the Pauper Phyrexian Arena. I could see it taking the place of Phyrexian Rager in MBC and maybe appear in a few other decks that can clear the way for it. Sweet card!
That's true. It may not be worth the risk over something more consistent like Phyrexian Rager. That being said, the potential with this card is much higher, which makes greedy players (like me) want to try to abuse it!
It's definitely worth testing, but I'm worried that it's removal bait. Even when your Rager eats a bolt, at least it will have replaced itself.
There is so much removal in Pauper I agree on your assessment. Interesting card for sure.
The only other card of note to me was Unholy Indenture. Maybe in your side as a sneaky way to put your opponents Ulamog Crusher or Monarch creatures to use against them. But again with so much removal it probably is too slow. Too bad it doesn't have Flash and you could steal a Mulldrifter and draw 2 cards.
And other than that M20 seems to be a giant Nothingburger for Pauper. Unless you like some reprints.

The set seems kinda meh not just for pauper. M19 looked like a much better set overall.

I also wish Blightbeetle was at common to fend off the pesky Carrion Feeder decks.
