Dead Reveler 2b
Creature - Zombie 2/3
Unleash (You may have this creature enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. It can't block as long as it has a +1/+1 counter on it.)
This seems more like it; 3 power for 3 isn't great, but he's pretty tough to kill, and he's a zombie. I think Soulcage Fiend is a better 3 drop and finisher for black aggro, though.
Grisly salvage has been testing really really well in Damn rats. Affinity had been a relatively difficult matchup for the deck since it could actually race the gnaw to the bone plan with ease.
With salvage the speed of damn rats gets improved enough to put up serious game against affinity.
I doubt it will help improve it's game much against infect which is a problem for the deck, but the card improves the matchup against enough other decks that I would be surprised if we didnt see the deck show up with more regularity after the online release of RtR.
Mulch had always been right on the edge for this deck. Improving upon mulch in nearly every way is going to be great for what the deck is hoping to do. I feel the deck might even be able to get away with cutting out the two consume spirits it has been packing. With grisly salvage you end up finding your crypt rats or your keeper of the pit fast enough that the extra x effect might be redundant.
that is exactly the way my opponents pronounce gnaw when i play it irl. it is glorious to see a card that literally has no other function than life gain be hated so much by opponents in a competitive scene.
to answer your question bonsequiter, it is the way tom described. i believe dead dog is the wild mongrel deck. i am not sure it will be as good in dead dog thanks to the fact that it will land your tortured existances in the graveyard and you cant get them back. torured auramancer might have better luck with it but three colors might be a stretch. the gates might allow for it though.

Oh, definitely, though I feel that if Armadillo Cloak and Travel Prep become a thing the meta would move away from red removal towards Doom Blade and then those cards would become less good.
People don't realise this, but at any given time Izzet Post is a hair's breadth away from being supplanted by Dimir Post. All it takes is for less blue decks and less weenie decks to be in the format.

On average, Magic players are worse at new card evaluation than almost every other skill, except perhaps sideboarding.
Basically, Izzet Post is better than Dimir Post - but only barely. The difference between then hinges on three things: Pyroblast, whether black removal is better than red removal, and how good Rolling Thunder is vs. Kaervek's Torch or playing no fireball option. Weenie decks are traditionally bad against red removal, because red removal is extremely efficient (E.g., Firebolt) and Rolling Thunder can ruin their day. Blue decks - any deck with islands in it - also make Izzet post better, because of access to Pyroblast which is extremely good against Delver and probably the best sideboard card still against other decks with blue spells.
Black, on the other hand, has an easier time killing arbitrarily large creatures, has some sources of grindy card advantage, and can opt into discard-based disruptive strategies when that is good. If the stuff that makes red control decks good isn't so prevalent, black-blue can take a bigger role... until the metagame shifts back around and blue-red becomes the best Post deck again.

Electrickery looks like it could be used in Izzet post because you can use it to deal wth an earlly Delver or save it for a swarm deck. Dynacharge looks like it could maybe be used in some swarm strategy, goblin maybe?
Electrickery (R, deal 1 damage to target creature you don't control, overload 1R) looks strictly better than Seismic Shudder, which most red decks use in the sideboard and many izzet post decks maindeck. (Okay, not strictly better because of hexproof, which may be an issue if the white enchant pushes mask hexproof into tier 1-2 status).
Mizzium Skin U
Instant
Target creature you control gets +0/+1 and gains hexproof until end of turn.
Overload 1U (You may cast this spell for its overload cost. If you do, change its text by replacing all instances of "target" with 'each.")
That seems relatively decent. Not sure when you'd want to overload Hexproof for your guys in pauper, especially in blue, but it seems cool for 1U.
Electrickery is cool for sure. In a bad and good way.
Just like always now, there's like less than five commons I'd even consider putting in a Pauper deck. And when you look back into the archives of all the old commons available to you, you realize there's maybe like one or two decent ones. The set is pretty awful for commons excluding the Gates.

The 0/1 saves from a lot of sweepers.
Sadly, populate looks unusable, as does scavenge. Maybe the 2/1 swampwalk, scavenge for 3 guy in black. That elf-that-summons-a-centaur guy is sooo bad.

Centaur Healer 1gw
Creature - Centaur Cleric 3/3
When Centaur Healer enters the battlefield, you gain 3 life.
If g/w non-hexproof cloak was a deck, this would be a decent inclusion. Not going to bring it back by himself, though.

i really hope we get a new archetype poking in, especially one that is more midrangey

This makes me immensely happy that I already got my HexMask deck together. 4 Mask, and 4 Baby Mask? I am a happy GW player.
