There's no reason to think Deathrite Shaman needs to be banned; he's just not going to be as abuse-able as he was in Modern and Legacy. He was not widely played in Standard. There's no way to cast Deathrite turn-one and ramp on turn-two in Pioneer.
The cards that were banned in both Modern and also in Standard when they were Standard legal are the prime suspects. Cards that never made the ban lists for the eternal formats should be given the benefit of the doubt. Cards that weren't banned when in Standard are likely not going to be a problem even if they were banned in Modern.
I wish I had kept my copies of Mental Misstep, They may well get the chop; they were banned from Extended if I recall correctly.
I don't think any of those 3 will be banned, fetches were a BIG,part of why they were good. I hope there are a few events before they ban stuff because so many of the initial Modern bans were stupid, but look at the things that were banned in Standard, then ask if basically anything from RtR block answers them well. I expect to see Aetherworks Marvel die quickly, but nothing else stands out as a problem

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
Deathrite, Cruise and Dig are all fueled by fetches in the formats they're banned. They warped formats but I don't seeing them getting hit here because they are still pretty medium casting wise without the fetches and cheap cantrips that are ubiquitous in formats like legacy or even modern. I don't even see Aetherworks Marvel getting banned because of how anemic the energy mechanic is. Aside from the mechanic, the early shakings of the format are always defined by busted combo or really fast aggro and that's what kept marvel out of being big in Frontier. If anything gets banned it'll either be Saheeli/Felidar or T3/Oko. The recent planeswalkers are really strong in other formats and that is even more compounded in Pioneer. The format doesn't really have clean answers to Planeswalkers outside of AssTrophy, Decay, Downfall, Dreadbore and Bedevil. In a couple of months we will absolutely see just how much the WotS/Eld planeswalkers hit this format.

I don't understand the mental misstep comment. The card is not legal in Pioneer, and the highest price of the card is 2.19, getting a playset is not expensive.

I could see Oath of Nissa. It's ~Ponder + mana fixing for Copycat and other green decks. It makes playing 8-12 PWs in a deck too easy in the format.
I'd like to see Felidar banned first though, only this card, and see what happens.

I agree with this list, these are certainly the cards to watch. Not all of these will end up banned, certainly not all on this Monday, but I think the most likely cards to be banned 4 Nov are felidar gaurdian and smuggler's copter, Possibly teferi and oko too, but we'll see.
I've seen some talk of oath of nissa as a card to watch too.

Ban all of those listed on Monday. Not sure they will but they need to. Once Upon a Time needs to be on the watchlist as well. Its basically a 2 cmc Leyline. Kill it.

I'd be surprised if Copter is banned right away. I don't think it will have the impact in Pioneer that it did in Standard. Or did I miss something already?

AssTrophy! LOL! Is that a thing now? That's funny!
I don't think it's Nissa herself, the G devotion decks are good also because of Leyline and Nykthos. A 5-mana PW in this format is not a problem, the same applies for Big Teferi.
It's rather a matter of where Wizards wants to establish the power level of the format. If Dig (and TC) are banned, then Once Upon and Oath of Nissa can go too. Good card selection is one of the most powerful thing in these Pioneer decks. Imo, If they ban the blue, they ban the green.

Deathrite Shaman, Dig Through Time, and Treasure Cruise are legal in pioneer, but banned in both Modern and Legacy, and thus the first suspects. Are there others that come to mind?
What do you think will get the quick axe, and why?

Pioneer (29x sets) is much larger than any Standard so I don't think that it really applies here.
I'd like to see Felidar banned first though, only this card, and see what happens.
Lets see if felidar guardian & smuggler's copter gets banned... I would suspect others would follow...
