Well, if you enjoy playing decks that aren't just netdecked by everyone, my suggestion would be perhaps a Grixis control deck. Most control decks run white for Sphinx's Revelation, but playing red instead of white can open up things like Olivia Voldaren and Slaughter Games (a powerhouse killer against many decks, especially other control when you name Sphinx's Revelation and put them on the same level as you, except then you'll have more card draw than them because you got it from cards other than sphinx's rev.)
Also, cards like Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius and Nicol Bolas can be a win-con by themselves if they resolve and you get to untap with them. I've been playing a pretty standard Esper Control deck for awhile now, and I'm just starting to make a home-brewed Grixis control -- and i really like it. You don't see very many Grixis decks and they are surprisingly effective. Stuff a ton of cheap removal in it, some card draw like Think Twice, Forbidden Alchemy, and perhaps Staff of Nin for late game advantage. Barter in Blood or even Mutilate (if you run enough swamps) are alternatives to Supreme Verdict. Run some nephalia drownyards for guaranteed win-con in grindy games (which are inevitable when playing control decks).
It seems like the deck would fit into your desire to play control and you could put your own twist on the deck. The cards mentioned above are basically a starting shell for the deck, and you could build upon that with whatever suits your fancy. If it's something that would interest you and you'd maybe like help with further suggestions for it, feel free to PM me.
Oddly, that's what I'm currently playing. Homebrew BUr control with a good deal of inspiration from here - having moved from straight BU because of the need to remove planeswalkers - having moved through several variations (specters, aberrations) but now playing more wights/desecration. My LGS environment forces main-deck Mutilates.
So I just started back and playing again in standard and I have the cards to put together both re-animator type build and a jund mid deck but I done really want to have both- Mainly for money reasons, so if I was planning to keep one sell one which would be the best way to do this.

Yours sounds more like a semi-aggressive mill strategy, i was thinking more along the lines of a traditional control type deck with just the drownyards and maybe a Jace, Memory Adept or 2, and playing things like Dreadbore, Murder/Tragic Slip/Victim of Night, and Barter in Blood for removal (or mutilate as you said if you're swamp-heavy) along with only a small handful of creatures like Snapcaster Mage, Olivia Voldaren, Niv-Mizzet, and Augur of Bolas.
Basically the idea would be to have an answer for everything they bring out, and either slowly grind them out with drownyards or play a game ending creature or planeswalker like Nicol Bolas or Niv-Mizzet. I've actually been playtesting with a friend, having him play the Grixis deck i made versus my Esper control deck -- and it seems to just stomp me post-sideboard.
Anywho, sorry for the slow responses as I only check the forum every 2-3 days.
So I haven't been playing standard for a while so I haven't been paying too much attention to the metagame. Based on what cards I own, I can build either Naya Blitz/Humans or UWR Midrange. Any advice on what deck is best right now?

So I haven't been playing standard for a while so I haven't been paying too much attention to the metagame. Based on what cards I own, I can build either Naya Blitz/Humans or UWR Midrange. Any advice on what deck is best right now?
Standard is pretty diverse right now, there are several competitive decks at the moment, including but certainly not limited to: UWR Midrange/Flash, Esper control, Junk reanimator, Humanimator, Jund Midrange, Jund Aggro (sometimes called Experiment Jund), Naya Blitz, Naya Humans/Midrange, B/R Zombies (not quite as popular these days), Aristocrats, R/G Aggro, and others.
As for what you should build between Naya Blitz and UWR, they are completely different decks that play in different ways. Do you prefer extremely aggressive decks that can have nut draws that make it virtually impossible for your opponent to win? Then Naya Blitz is definately for you. Do you prefer a semi-control deck that can grind out a longer game but can be somewhat effective in the early game as well? Then UWR is probably the best choice.
Those are the pros to each, the cons for Blitz would be that it only runs ~20 lands and you'll likely have to mulligan often, and sometimes frustratingly so. You'll have to know when to mulligan -- it's not like most decks where your hand will "get there", Blitz is about the early game and if you dont dominate there you're likely to lose.
UWR has many variants, some with Boros Reckoner and Blasphemous Act and/or Harvest Pyre, some without Reckoner but with powerful midrange creatures, and some with less creatures and more of a control feel. The downside to most UWR decks is that they are punished by more "dedicated" control decks such as Esper that are specifically designed for the long game.
So, I've been playing standard since Innistrad, and I have a fair number of Standard staples. After Return rolled around, I was playing Jund Midrange with all the removal spells. Lately, I've been fooling around with a Junk Midrange deck running Restos, Tusks, Lingering souls and Smiter. The issue is that it's a turn too slow against most super-aggro decks, and not big enough to beat a lot of Midrange. It was originally designed to be good against Esper Contro and UWR midrange but has a less than good record against pretty much anything else.
I have most everything in standard that aren't UWR shocks or checks, Geist of Saint Traft, Boros Reckoner, Thundermaw or Hellrider.
I don't want to play anything that turns things sideways with abandon (i.e. R-X aggro), or a deck that takes forever to win (Control) or is too reliant on Graveyard interactions. I also will not play a deck that doesn't run green (long story).
Suggestions?
I haven't had much luck with UWR flash and Jund. Threw bant auras together last week and brought home the bacon.
I'll probably keep playing it until someone supreme verdicts me.
LOL. It IS pretty darn good vs. Junk Rites and Humanimator...
@jzdroid456 - I think UWR is really good if you expect Aggro. I don't think Junk Rites is a very winnable matchup though.

Alright guys, I need a suggestion of what to play. My choices are as follows: Naya aggro (though I don't have Huntmaster), Grixis Control, G/W Flash, or RWB stuff.
Obviously, without me posting each decklist, it's tough to make an educated guess, so just a suggestion as to which sounds the most fun will work, haha.

Fun really depends on you. I think Grixis Control would be the most fun, but it would be pretty tough in this meta. Junk Rites seems like a nightmare matchup.

Yeah Grixis I tend to have a lot of fun with, and it was my first control deck that I've just been refining ever since. The meta makes it tough though - with no great board wipes Naya Blitz stomps it, which is what my meta is composed of.
I Mainboard Appetite for Brains now because of how prevalent Rites has become. It also helps against other matchups.

If your meta is full of Naya Blitz, here's a deck that beats it - Naya Midrange: 4 Avacyn's Pilgrim, 4 Arbor Elf, 4 Farseek, 4 Loxodon Smiter, 4 Centaur Healer, 4 Huntmaster of the Fells, 4 Restoration Angel, 4 Thragtusk, 4 Bonfire of the Damned or Mizzium Mortars, 24 land. This deck is guaranteed to have an excellent matchup vs. Blitz and other quick aggro. :):)

I like that deck actually, but I don't have any huntmasters unfortunately. I've got everything else, but as far as I know there isn't a card that you can really 'sub in' for him.

Lately, I’ve been pondering making a new deck, so thought I might stop by here. Anyways, my local store has a metagame comprised of some of the popular decks around right now, such as Jund, Esper, and various other Control and Aggro decks. Junk Rites, and America Control has been popping up recently, too. The deck I had envisioned would be a deck that I could regulary take to my local FNMs, and do well against some of the decks being ran these days, as well as getting good value out of my spells. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
I want to start going to FNM's and possibly to the tournaments and now I need to decide the deck I'm going to build. My favorite colors are Green and White, so I really would like to have those two in my deck. At the moment Blue is the most interesting third choice, because before I've only been playing some kind of random aggro decks.
So Bant seems to be the one I'd like to play. The problem is that there are a few different versions of Bant. And the new cards are also coming in DGM, so that could affect the deck quite a bit.
I have 2 Loxodon Smiters, 4 Thragtusks, 4 Think Twices, 3Dissipates, 2 Zeganas and one Angel of Serenity. Some of the most expensive stuff is still missing (Restos & Revelations). Is the best option to wait a bit and see what kind of cards are going to be used in the Bant decks? Or is there something that I could get right now and be sure that it is going to be played?
I want to build a new standard deck, but I honestly don't know what I want to run, I know for a fact I want to play Snapcaster mage and Geist of St. Traft... I have 4 of each, i want to play the crap out of them until rotation, right now, which would be the best deck to run these two in?

uwr like midrange or control with reckoner here's a link
I'd say that jund midrange, junk reanimator, and esper control are the best decks right now, with UWR and aristocrats filling specific niches that make them really good temporarily.
Aristocrats is really powerful right now, but becomes much less powerful once it gain popularity.

Big thanks to DarkNightCavalier from heroes of the planes studios for the sig!
there WILL be changes post rotation. Some of the deck will remain and just evolve. others will disappear, and brand new ones will pop up. it happens.
still, I think dega (BWR) is getting the most out of dragon's maze.
How does Dega fare against some of the popular decks around right now? I've been considering making a Dega midrange deck, but I would like a second opinion.
I really didn't want to go out and drop money on Thundermaws and reckoners though, I was hoping there was an esper build out right now with Geist in it...
