Not a single deck with an egregious, offensive, decadent metagame% - and the format has been going for a little while, right?
I don't play Standard outside of Arena, so I'm wondering if there something I'm missing here.
It's pretty wide open right now, but there are a few decks that are pretty clearly tier 1. Mainly mono red,GB, and UWx control. But yes, there are plenty of viable options.
there are options, yes. That said, 75% of the decks that placed Top 16 of this past weekends 2 GP's were 3 archetypes
It appears seleysna tokens, boros angels, jeskai control, golgari midrange, izzet phoenix, and RDW all done well in the top 16. 6 decks is fairly diverse tbh.

Those other decks did make the top 16, yes, but the 3 i mentioned were far and away the most consistent top performers
Golgari - 8
Jeskai - 8
Izzet - 5
Tokens - 3
Boros Angels - 3
RDW -1
U Tempo - 1
GW Angels - 1
GW Midrange - 1
Boros Mentor - 1
standard seems really wide open but I'm noticing that most of the best players I know tend to be on the same deck at a given time. Not sure if that is useful information
So how does everyone like Standard this season. It seemed that Selesyna tokens won that last SCG classic. Rest of field was izzet drake/phoenix, golgari, RDW, jeskai control

im enjoying it so far. Have 10 decks built atm so every week feels a little different. Local meta is Drake heavy for now but still features 2-3 of each other archetype pretty consistently.
I'm having a lot of fun playing Golgari Midrange and experiment with splashing blue for different sideboard options because I love blue hehe.
I kinda wish Mono Green Stompy was better because it's a fun deck.
Having a lot of fun at my local FNM and it's legit got the most amount of people participating since the last year or so. People are bringing lots of different decks, so it usually feels fresh almost no matter who you're playing against.
Waiting for the next set to get back into my Esper control deck because it's really fun. I know people will hate me for saying this, but I miss Kaladesh cards (Especially Fatal Push) and I miss having that one Scarab God in my Esper deck.
First Standard I have played in 4 years (I looked) that has not been terrible. Actual fun games, fun and interesting decks, diversity of play patterns.

Reality is only what man allows it to be. Few shape it so that many may accept it.

Interesting days for Standard, it seems.
