I wonder how good playing U/W/R would be and having cards like Magma Jet and Omen Speaker to increase your chance for narset's +1 to hit. Probably bad, but I would enjoy scrying more. Ponder or Preordain reprint in BoZ?
I'm curious on how to best use Narset in Standard. The 4cmc, 6 Loyalty is very appealing, Out of range of Stroke the Flames or most of the burn cards, opponent likely to alpha strike Narset just to get her off the board, but what about her abilities? I'm interested on how she will be used.

She best slots into jeskai burn and jeskai/boros tokens-- Decks that rely heavily on repeated use of noncreature spells to win the game and benefit hugely from rebound (stoke, cruise, outburst). She has a secondary home in control, but its a little funky there.
Well, why is control a little funky? Let's say you tap out on turn 4 in control to play her, and you tap out on turn 4 to play her in Jeskai tokens. Outside of maybe having a couple tokens to block for her, what changes in turn 5? You skipped turn 4 so you could double cast outburst on turn 5? Why not just play it on turn 4 instead.
At least in control you can rebound end hostilities, or rebound anticipate and keep up counter magic. If you are going to play her in some form of token/aggro deck, you need to make sure her rebound effect substantially increases your chance to win... if not just play hordling outburst on your turn, or play outpost siege instead.
Personally I think she is fit more for control, as a way to generate card advantage 50ish percent of the time, and then doing BROKEN things (like double end hostilities, or double dig through times), rather than a tokens deck that has better options.

1)This a matter of relative power. No one said she is terrible/bad in control. She is simply not as good in control as she is in something like tokens.
2)No one is claiming you should wait 2 turns to play outburst or whatever, just so you can rebound it... Just using her +1 to add something like jeskai ascendancy or stoke the flames to your hand is going to be a fine thing to do after you cast your spell on t3. If she rebounds a spell, then you've essentially cast a spell on t4 too. But you've gotten a free walker who's generating incredible advantage.
The point is that decks like tokens can do things that are equally broken to control using her ability. You can rebound cruise in tokens just as easily as you can DTT in control. You can rebound stoke, and in tokens that will be just as powerful as rebounding a wrath. Rebounding outburst against something like control is backbreaking if the control deck has barely stabilized. (Note: you probably don't want to spend your time dudrling by rebounding a sorcery speed anticipate). The difference is that tokens has many more useful targets to rebound because it plays little to no countermagic, and is comfortable playing at sorcery speed, unlike flash control, which wants to cast everything on its opponent's turn prior to stabilizing. Also, rebound plays incredibly well with Ascendancy.
Narset is good in control, of course. just not as good.
I'm playing 3 copies in U/W Control and couldnt be happier. She has won me a ton of games already from landing her ultimate. All 3 modes are of use to control players. Those who say she isn't as good in control variants IMO haven't tested her in these specific lists enough. She's basically the new JAoT with more beef, with the downside of no guaranteed card advantage (unless you cast it late game with rebound).

but what i do not understand is the pricing. in red we had chandra, the firebrand and both copy spells (one asap, one a turn later).
i do get that narset comes with 6 loyality while chandra has only 3, plus that narset has the chance to draw a card. so narset is overall the better card, but how comes. narset is 20 times more expansive than chandra ? i know chandra saw no play, but i dont get the feeling that narset is worth her price now and so i am waiting before i buy here. am i wrong ?
That's not the current standard legal chandra. Chandra, Pyromaster is what you're thinking of.
