why two different lieges? why not stick with just two of one of them? IF you want flying or the 4 damage tech? either way....two is just much better in all condition, even if you draw both of them...then they doble buff themselves.....i just doen see the logic for one of each.
I'd go with the flying, several of the top decks have no flying critters (elves, merfolk (eccepting sower), etc.). Thats one reason why Demigod of Revenge is as good as it is. Other than the fact that you can't keep him in the yard anyway.
I have been messing about with a MBC based around Oona Queen of the Fae, Painters Servant and Gauntlet of Power. That way each mana after the first pumped into Oona = 2 Removed from the game, and two 2/2 flyers. Other than the 3 cards i mentioned it's standard MBC IE. Damn's, Tendrils, Thoughtseize. Ect.

On the other hand, I run Ashenmoor Liege in a different deck, and it seems to me he has shroud when your opponent is on low life; also, he double-buffs Demigod of Revenge.
Well i attended FNM last nite after some debate (i had other things going on... They can wait, magic is way more important!)
We had a good turn out, 27 people for T2. Lets take look at the match ups.
Rounds 1 - U/b control? - Kid was running bad cards revolving around -1-1 counters, easy win. 2-0
Round 2 - G/B Elves - G1 I keep a decent hand, My opp goes 3 thoughtseize in a row, goyf, treetop, garruk beatdown.
Sb in deathmarks, terrors.
G2 I keep a 2 land hand with 2 bb's. I dont draw another land for the rest of the game and get overran. Funny thing is i WENT UP to 25 lands right before the start of FNM - not to get mana screwed.
0-2
Round 3 - G/r Beats. - He played goyf, Deus, crusher, firesprout. 1st game i killed everything, Beat with lox/bb. Sb in Stupor, terror.
G2 He got mana screwed playing turn 2 elf/birds (after treetop) Turn 4 i damn, he gets stuck on 2 lands. Korlash/hammer time (cant touch this)
2-0
Round 4 - Kithkins WW. G1 i killed everything he played, lifegain w/ tenrals.
SB in Terror, deathmarks. G2 I lose to fast start/militias pride - mana screw.
G3 I get 4 lands and thats enough to kill everything... Lox Korlash seal it.
Top 8
Round 1 - Quick'n' toast UGRWB. This is a tough match up because the deck is slow and plays very powerful spells. G1 Long game that comes down to me winning with BB tokens/hammer. Sb in stupor, extirpate (he ran manniquen), Terrors for Cloudthreshers. G2 He mulls down to 4!!! I keep and start out with bb... get lox and get him down to like 7 by turn 7-8. He gets mulls, manniquen. Then He topdecks a cloudtheresher, clears the board, ends up winning the match before dying himself.
At this point i extirpated mulldrifter, so i saw his deck. He ran 1 oona, 1 razormare. Terror is no good, so i sb in sudden spoiling. Also he ran cloudthrs, 4 wipsmares, and 3-4 firesprouts. I sbed OUT bitterblossom - 1st time i was froced to do this, but i rather him have dead cards.
G3 i start out with thoughtseizes, take cryptic, manniquen. I extirpate cryptic, He mindshatters me - i have no hand. I topdeck 3 damnations in a row, Blowing up finks, mulls, razormare. He is forced to play wispmares w/ no targets, Then i eot tendrals when im at 2. He snag's twice. I btq for demigod, which he mindshatters. He draw - pass, i topdeck profane, bring back Demigod, Dont attack fearing he EOT manniquen.
On his turn he pass - go. I get brave after i topdeck another profane, bring back ANOTHER demigod and swing. He goes down to 11. On his turn... He plays wispmare attempting to get a blocker, Then I Sudden spoiling - No abilities, swing again - win. No cloudthresher FTW! I win with 2 life =)))
At this point it was 11-30pm, we just split top 4. I got 15 boosters, not bad for 7$ =) SoRry for long post, wanted to have this up for discussion!

Might as well have 4 Sudden Death MD if that's your meta. -_-
I think I would prefer another Stupor and Terror over the 2 Needles, considering your metagame. Puppeteer Clique is really good for Lark MUs, if you don't feel like using 4 Extirpates (though I would still do a 3-2 split).
A spell cannot target itself.
Rune Snag, cannot counter itself in response.
Counter-spells can only target other spells so I'm infering that you have already played a spell and it is on the stack when the counter-spell is played.
You have the counter-spell target imp's mischief. Going up in the stack rather than down, so to speak.

Imp's Mischief doesn't in turn target itself does it?
Nope. Imp's mischief is countered and when the counter-spell is taken off the stack, its one of the those situations "no legal target' so it fizzles. Its good vs a lot of cards, ancestral vision, browbeat, LD, any targeted removal. So it might be useful.
Another suggestion. If you are having mana problems, play a couple twisted abomination.

Wow, that might have to jump into my sideboard fast.
Can you change the target of an enchantment (aura of course) to your own creatures?

Can you change the target of an enchantment (aura of course) to your own creatures?
As long as the spell itself 'targets' something, rather than an activated or triggered ability, it can be changed. So many cards now have CIP(triggered) abilities that can't be changed. Another card to turn around is thoughtseize.
Imp's Mischief has been on the MBC radar for awhile, but people who tested it found it to be underwhelming. It is the epitome of situational cards - faeries don't always draw into visions, they don't always target with Cryptic Command...
It also can't change the target of Oblivion Ring (the spell itself doesn't target, the ability does), same for Mistbind Clique.
So, most of the time, it sits in your hand, and you wish it was something you were able to actually use.
Oblivion Ring isn't an aura. It uses an ability. (which, if something was pro-white, it would still be safe, etc)
Imp's Mischief isn't better than any other SB cards. Most of the time, you'd be redirecting removal, and you aren't always guaranteed a target. On top of that, so many creatures in the format mean that almost 50% of the best stuff going on is through abilities. And I'm not sure you can do ANYTHING with the Commands, since they use mutliple targets most of the time.
If you don't have the money to get better SB cards, then it might be a fun situational card to try out, but I think that most of us would rather tap out for Profanes, or creatures, removal... or something like that.
I might re-test Imp's Mischief this Friday for the fun of it. The idea of re-directing an ancestral visions is just so wonderful :D. I don't expect it to be the optimal card to use, but it sure will be interesting!
Am I right in assuming that it can redirect modal spells (ie the commands) as long as the modes chosen result in one target? The fact that the spell is modal doesn't matter right? So in the case of Cryptic Command, say they choose counter and draw, I can redirect the counter to Imp's Mischief, and then, since Cryptic fizzles, they don't draw? I wish it could redirect CIP triggers :(. Wizards needs to print a stifle version - redirect target activated or triggered ability with a single target. I wonder what kind of rules headaches that would involve :p.
The cryptic would not be countered, so they would still draw. Snagging draw from visions or consideration or burn/removal would be the only uses for mischief that I could see...

Well technically it would fizzle if the mischief redirects the cryptic to the mischief. The mischief resolves, then cryptic loses its target, etc. This was seriously just explained like 7 posts ago.
What is the consensus on Beseech the Queen? I see that you can cut down on certain other cards, but it seems slow in many situations.
Most of the cards that I play are threats anyway, so I usually don't want to waste a turn getting something. Then again, it gives another 3 drop w/ Dusk Urchins and Warhammer. I think I answered my own question w/ this last statement.

what do you guys think ?
What about scarscale ritual since you play urchins. Also, have you ever considered imp's mischief? I mean in general. It can counter, counter-spells.
