I have to agree. ThIs may have to go in as my new sig as well, juse because it made me laugh so much. Is it really a comeback to win against the guy who equips his Vampire Nighthawk with a Basilisk Collar or is it just natural selection...?
Even if that scenario were completely made up, it would STILL be an epic fail. Seriously, that statement is worse than Selective Memory.
anyway, I was doing BR vamps with a Vein Drinker that had two Blade of Bloodchief on it. I got it pumped up to 30/30 killing off all of his stuff one at a time, using Nighthawks and other stuff as chumps until then. I was at 5 life the whole time. then once his stuff was gone, swing for 30 and game.
At a Utah PTQ, I was playing BW tokens mirror at 4-1 in round 6, was at 3 life, my opponent was at 24 or something similiar. No cards in hand, and only a few ground guys on the board. My opponent has cloudgoat and 3 kithkin + anthem advantage, and just attacks with all of them instead of flying over for the win, I was somehow able to get profitable blocks with persist guys and climb back into the game by drawing off the top. Ended up losing to elves in that tournament in the final round to make top 8, but I'll always remember that match.
Gabriel Nassif, I think it was the Semi Finals Pro Tour Kyoto, his only out was Cruel Ultimatum, he arranged his lands before he looked at the one card he drew. It was Cruel Ultimatum. I've never heard Randy Buehler scream so loud in my life... ill find the clip
Playing against bloodquake with my Bant deck before worldwake.
He get's me to one life while still at 21 (from a akoum's refuge). I have Baneslayer and rafiq on the field + tons of mana. Any burn he draws will end it. He draws, plays a land and passes back.
Baneslayer hits for 10 with the exalted bonus's. 11 life.
Celestial mantle triggers. 22 Life
Double strike damage from Rafiq. 33 life.
Celestial Mantle triggers. 66 life.
20 damage + 65 life gain in one turn Next turn was game. Oh and this was all in game 3.

Because conservative bias is a far, far worse thing. Liberal bias doesn't, statistically speaking, make people stupid. Conservative bias (or at least Fox's version of it) does.
Wow... Nassif has been such a lucksack through the Pro Tour. I remember that at PT Kobe in 2004 when he had created Twelve Post, he faced an aggro Affinity deck in the semifinals. Last game they played, his opponent drew the nuts and Nassif had a slow draw with an Oblivion Stone as his only defense. The opponent fell just short of killing him (Nassif dropped to 1 life) before he activated the O-Stone then managed to assemble the mana base he needed to play Tooth and Nail and win =P That was great, though he still lost to Big Red in the finals.
My first States ever, I was running the tables with a janky naya midrange. My round four opponent was playing Cruel Control, crushes me game one and then game two he resolves back to back Cruels on me game. Six lands on the board and a singleton Garruk with two loyalty, he flashes me his hand showing two Cryptic Commands, two Wrath of God, a Broken Ambition, Mulldrifter, and a land. "Do you want to even play this out?" he remarked, being snoddy and condescending. "Um, I'm good. I'll see what my outs are."
I topdeck a Primal Command, returning his only untapped land, a Vivid at that, to the top of his library, and tutoring for Gaddock Teeg. Untap two lands with Garruk, cast Gaddock Teeg, go. Opponent, draw card, lay land, hardcast Mulldrifter, go. I draw a Vigor, lay it on the board, swing with Gaddock Teeg, make a beast token, go. At this point he is looking for Condemn as an out to Gaddock Teeg because he drew into Firespout some turns later but couldn't cast it without helping me win. Fortunately for me, I cast my own Firespout two turns later and forced a game three, best feeling ever.

I was playing eva green vs my brother's dragon stompy in a legacy tournament, he had a gathan raiders with an umezawa's jitte attached that had two counters on it, I had one lonely Dark Confidant after combat he says go I hit another Bob going to 6 life and draw a third Bob, I play them both so I can have a blocker on his turn, I pass turn he draws considers attacking and just passes hoping I will kill myself, upkeep I reveal wasteland, swamp, treetop village, I draw a maelstrom pulse target his jitte so he kills 2 bob's in response, I play a kitchen finks and pass, he swings Block with finks, then I get a jitte and a goyf and end up winning
not so much a comeback because the game was close anyways, but i was at 1 facing an opponant at 5 and all my creatures were tapped down by cryptic command during the declare attackers step. my board had a demigod of revenge, and a mogg fanatic. my hand had an incinerate and a makeshift mannequin, and i was at 6 mana. i sac my fanatic and incinerate my demigod to kill him, then mannequin him back during my declare attackers step and swing for the win.
i was playing my fog deck against a white weenie aggro deck; he'd sided in felidar sovereign and gotten up to 40, played iona and locked me out of white. he had about 25 cards in his library, drawing about 5 or 6 a turn. if i let him get his upkeep, he would've one, no chance for me to let him draw himself out of it.
i draw my next few cards; play jace, both draw, then timewarp. if i didn't hit my arcghive traps, i was doomed.
i hit them, cast both, no more library, then made him draw with jace after a careful rules check. i've never held my breath before drawing a card so long in my life
I cry a little bit every time one of my creatures goes to the graveyard. I also take a few minutes to talk about their time on the battlefield, and typically say a few words of remembrance. You know, what kinds of sleeves they liked, what decks they liked being in. That sort of thing. Nothing too over the top.
My Angel Tokens were 5/5's because I used Ajani's second ability, the prior turn, to give them all a +1/+1. I used its ability again and made them all 6/6. I swung with all of them and he blocked 4 of them with his 3 Dragon Tokens and Sprouting Thrinax (which allowed him to bring in 3 Saproling Tokens). He decided to take 6 damage. He was now down to 12 life.
Since my Angel Tokens had Vigilance, they were all untapped. He used 2 Maelstrom Pulse and destroyed my Ajani and Angel Tokens. In response, I used Luminarch Ascension to bring in 5 Angel Tokens during his turn. He attacked with 1 Saproling and I took 1 damage. I was down to 2 life.
On my turn, I used Path to Exile and Journey to Nowhere against his Bloodbraid Elf and Broodmate Dragon. He only had 2 Saprolings and 1 Putrid Leech in play. I swung with my 5 Angel Tokens. He blocked 3 of them, but ended up taking exactly 8 damage. He was down to 4 life, but he had no creatures in play. He was relying on his next draw to get a Lightning Bolt, or any direct damage spell, but he didn't. He ended his turn and I swung again for the win.
Do I even want to know how he was blocking your Angel Tokens with ground creatures? Did he have a Levitation in play? Coincidentally, if you made Angel Tokens in response to a Maelstrom Pulse they would die too...

That post is full of fail.
He was playing with 2 of that stupid 0 cost Spidersilk Net equipment and 2 Kitesail. He knew my deck was mostly flying so he threw in 4 of them into his deck. And no, once his Maelstrom Pulse resolved and was out of play, I then used Luminarch Ascension to pump out Angel Tokens. I apologize if I didn't go into every detail. Why would I waste my time posting a scenario like that if it wasn't real?? "Because it's the internet and you can BS." No. If I wanted to really BS, I'd lie about my record against Jund and say my Angel deck went 22-2 against it. The reality is, when Jund has beat me, it's kicked my ass with speed.

Maybe, before you go on some tangent about how apparently you have such a great Jund MU you should consider the fact that if anyone actually decides to run Spidersilk Net or Kitesail in their Jund deck JUST to block your Angel tokens which all come from an enchantment that you shouldn't consistently trigger in the first place, they are very subpar as a Magic player.
There's not much that is memorable about your scenario, he didn't draw a Bolt, it wasn't some amazing topdeck or well crafted play. No one should care if you BS or not but to be brutally honest, most of the things you say are pretty ridiculous and besides the point. Nothing personal, it's just in terms of competitive Magic you seem to toot your horn more often than you should, based on your posts.
Um, nope, I'm very sure he hardcasted it. What are you getting at? I don't see how the game state could conflict with his ability to play Mulldrifter
Cuz he would have blocked with the Drifter when you attacked with your Teeg which would allow him to Cruel your hand away.
My best moment:
This goes way back to when Type 2 used Duals.
I was playing Ernhamgeddon and my friends dad was playing Necropotence.
It was the semifinals and this was a very hard matchup. I remember he was at 7 life due to Necropotence and I was at 10. He swung with his 2 Hyppies and it got my 1 of 2 Geddons and Wrath. He taps out for a Nightmare to "secure" the win. I have about 7 lands in play with 2 Llanowars. I topdecked a Wrath. I debated the Wrath/Geddon or just. I Wrath and Geddon, using my 1 last mana for another Elf. Next turn Taiga into Kird Ape, Next Turn Forest into Erhnam. He was spending too much life drawing cards for answers. I win the match and then lose in the finals. It was my first tournament.

If you want to have an intelligent discussion, then let's not be ignorant. He didn't put those in JUST for the Tokens. In fact, the Luminarch Ascension is there for recovery after I use Day of Judgment or if my opponent is playing heavy removal. If you took the time to look at my decklist, you'd see that I have quite a bit of Flying creatures (12 without Luminarch Ascension or Birds from Emeria's Landfall).
It was one of the best comebacks for me because I've only been playing for a few months and I didn't think I was going to win because the odds were definitely against me. I also felt pretty uneasy because I've never been in a position where I was relying on my Angel Tokens to carry me through. Yes, he made a big mistake, but poor decisions happen in Magic, or any card game, for that matter. Even the best players, and decks, aren't perfect, and in no way am I saying my deck is. However, it has taken quite a few players by surprise. They never seem to know what to expect or target with removals.
I'm used to getting the type of backlash I've been getting around here. Opposed to what some of you may think of me, I'm very humble, but confident with my deck. Before people started playing it, they were quick to criticize how slow it was; that it would never stand a chance against the top tiered decks in Standard, such as Jund. Don't get me wrong, None of those 22 wins against Jund have been easy, and some of those losses were BAD losses. But I'm not looking to have the "best" deck. I really enjoy playing with it because it works consistently (especially against decks that don't have much removal or direct damage capabilities) and because it's a deck that I put together myself. As long as it's competitive (win or lose), and it has been, then I'm satisfied.

How am I being ignorant? You are tap dancing around the point at hand. If you want to really dissect your little scenario and debate the merits of your deck, we can touch on those subjects. In light of what you're trying to explain in this quoted text, clue me in on the following: do you realize that rather than flooding his deck with equipment to be able to engage in combat with your fliers, he should just increase his threat/removal density? If you argue otherwise you are pretty much defending his poor card choices. After Day of Judgment, your opponent has manlands, Bloodbraid, and thrinax tokens to ensure Luminarch doesn't trigger. As stated before, your opponent just punted. Your logic is flawed if you think that the Ascension is a good out against an opponent bearing heavy removal. It needs to be harnessed when your opponent is doing the exact opposite of removing and/or swinging at you. I've seen your list, and it doesn't really bhelp your argument.
All I'm trying to do is increase your tolerance for criticism. At this point you should be able to grow based on the arguments of others, and I know that nobody is perfect in their early stages of learning the game, but there comes a time to grow up and listen to what others have to say because the numbers don't lie. You don't want to be that jackass at the local card shop who toots his own horn and boasts about his deck ideas which are in stark reality just plain jank, the same guy that asks people for advice and when they try to engage in some debate or discussion you shoot them down in a blindly ignorant fashion, never letting anyone throw their two cents at you.
Nobody likes that guy. I know somebody at my FNM scene that takes a good deck, craps on it with his own ideas (that usually take away from the purpose of the deck,) goes on a long tangent trying to brag he is a great thinker and deck designer and then asks me what I think of it. Every single time, I usually have to tell him the truth in that his rationale is flawed, yet he persists and always replies "I disagree," which makes no sense when said person is in fact asking others for criticism. You need to chill with the defense mechanisms and learn to accept your faults when others point them out. I'd never give such advice if I didn't follow it myself, just so you know. You can never grow as a Magic player if you don't indulge yourself in the findings of others and the gist of their arguments for or against an idea.
Even if that scenario were completely made up, it would STILL be an epic fail. Seriously, that statement is worse than Selective Memory.
