Welcome to the MTG Salvation You Make the Card project!
Nominations in this category will go toward red creatures with a converted mana cost of 3 or less. You can nominate up to five cards that you want to see make it to voting...
Only 15 such creatures will make the cut...
Nominations close on Wednesday, 48 hours from now...
Primary and only casual rule: "any rule that is fine for the most part of the playgroup, is a fine rule". So any further thread with: "if somebody uses/does .... in a casual game, is it ethical/ok?", read the answer above.
- Being a "Johnny/Spike" means you like self-torture. You win often in casual, so everybody hates you; you loose often in competitive, so you hate yourself.

There really should be more than 15 of these slots in a cube this big, if we're going to support red aggro sufficiently. I think we're overloading the big creature spots and neglecting the lower ones. Maybe this is "biasing" the cube overmuch, but we should be willing to adjust the curve to the tendencies of the color. If we only have 15 red creatures 3 or lower, the red aggro deck is really going to suffer, quite possibly to the point of illegitimacy.
MTGS stats (won/played)

As neutral - none

But red aggro is never really "red" aggro. You will always combine it with either green, black, or white to play a 2 colour deck. It is unfeasible in most cubes (unless you specifically design it that way) to draft and play mono coloured decks. So 15 red, 15 black, 15 green and 15 white weenies (maybe more for white and green, due to the historical backings of weenies in these colours), add to that many low costing noncreature spells, it will be more than enough to support "aggro" as an archetype.
Having too much weenies can also dilute the cube, since you will be struggling to put in creatures with favourable cost to P/T ratio, you will end up often including weaker cards. Cards like Skyshroud Elite are fine if you are specifically pushing for a more aggressive cube, but they are generally very weak in a normal one (one that's aimed at playing powerful cards or cards with tight interactions).

There is no such thing as red aggro you will play 2-3 color aggro most of the time. Cards like Jaya and Ball Lightning aren't really as good as they seem in cubes.

No, it's completely feasible to go mono in a draft. 90% of the time I've done cube drafts, it's a four man, and it's very, very easy to monopolize red. A lot of red cards aren't really very good at all in other decks, so nobody else wants them. Last time I cubed (against Tom LaPille and Ben Weinberg [who top-8'ed the last gp, yeah, I'm name dropping]), I managed to get green entirely to myself. I ended up playing almost mono-green aggro, with a splash of red for some burn, and smashed every game I played. With the proportions layed out here, any red-based aggro game is going to be really weak. And red usually sucks at control, so red is probably just going to suck in general.
