(At the mods [guessing Lesurgo], I talked to Shepherd about posting this thread, since there were a couple of errors here and there with the procedure insofar. I'd ask that a moderator sticky this for the duration of the YMTC project, but that's up to them, of course. Hopefully this thread offers a reminder to those who help participate and make this CUBE from scratch. It's a lot of work, heh.)
Let's cut to the chase. I'm going to take this chance, as the only nomination/vote counter volunteer to post this thread, which has some clarified information on the YMTC project.
1) Please remember, the nomination period is 48 hours, or 2 days. Right after that time period passes, it's most likely both Shepherd and I will count up the current nominations and then post the voting thread the next day. Posting on the nomination threads after the 48 hour period doesn't help us, since we'll usually have moved along by that point.
1b) Clearly, there are some cards everyone would like to nominate (goyf, Bob, etc.). Remember, a double nomination won't benefit it; that's saved for the voting period. This is not to say that I discourage you from nominating your five personal CUBE favorites, but try to nominate something that hasn't yet been nominated that you'd think would be a good choice for voting.
2) Please remember, the voting period is 48 hours, or 2 days. Right after that time period passes, it's most likely both Shepherd and I will count up all the votes and record the results so we can determine what makes the cut. On the voting threads that don't receive a poll, if you post on them after 48 hours, it'll not count, nor really help us.
3) For those of you who have been keeping score at home, you may note that some rounds we only get a certain amount (under the required number) of cards with enough votes to move along. We can't decide the ties on the 1-vote cards fairly, so Week 7 will provide you an opportunity to tie up loose ends.
4) Just a technical nitpick: it is preferred that you card-tag your nominations or votes. With nominations, I can verify if the card falls under the nomination section you want it to. (Some may recall we had a mistake where Silent Specter was listed on low and high CC creatures during the Black voting week.)
5) With regards to the main CUBE inventory thread, Shepherd will update that on his own time. Given that he's also running Forum Draft 4 (LLM), he's a bit strapped for time, so be patient with the renders/card list for the MTGS Cube. Maintaining all of this is a lot of work...
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
