(note, these picks aren't in the same draft or anything like that, so don't let previous picks guide your choices. This is an exercise to see what to take p1p1 in a cube draft.)
I grab Sword of Mind and Body for the same reason I grab Loxodon Warhammer in the last pack. I just hope that the new equipment is as good as Fire and Ice or Light and Shadow.

I'd go with Keiga. Taking the only blue card is relevant, she's splashable, and even if I was in black, I might take Kokusho over Bitterblossom. Obviously Bitterblossom is super super strong, but it's not a good topdeck, while Kokusho is a legitimate bomb and a fun card to build around.
Sword of Mind and Body is clearly going to be ridiculous, but I think it's important to note that it doesn't have a "protection from removal" aspect like SoFI and SoLS do. Here, I'd just keep in mind that it's in the draft and lean towards UR or UG to pick up artifact destruction.
I would also consider Molten Rain if I knew that the cube was land destruction-heavy and I had a chance to go with resource denial as a strategy. This is just because resource denial happens to be my favorite strategy.
In summation.....Star Trek wins a prolonged naval battle against superior, yet less technologically advanced, numbers, with Picard leading the assault, while Kirk takes your soul by laying out Solo and probably his manservant Chewy as well, before impregnating and ditching your Princess.
I would want to take Sword of Body and Mind, as I haven't played with it yet, but I think taking Keiga and cutting blue would be the correct play here. Honorable mention to Bitterblossom.
I agree on Solemn. He's always make my deck. Go go reprint in Scars! On some days, I might choose Faith's Fetters, though. Spashable super-removal is pretty sweet.
Hey I drafted with you last thursday ^ ^. I still love the Rafiq but I got to go with Solemn Simulcran because i'm hardpressed to see 40 cards he doesn't fit in.
I didn't even realize this thread was here, so I missed out on the first two. The first two packs were completely ridic. Like, how the hell do you open P1P1 and see TWO Kamigawa dragons and a Bitterblossom?! This is why I love the cube. This third pack has no obvious P1P1 choice, but I gotta go with Inferno Titan for two reasons. 1.) I love building red decks with big creatures like this dude and 2.) I haven't had a chance to play him in the cube yet, so with no clear first pick, the cube manager in me jumps at the opportunity.

Nope. I love that card. If it weren't for the freaking Bitterblossom and the new Wolf Sword, this would be my 3rd choice for sure.
